Little is known about Rylee's mysterious past; nor does she remember anything before the age of twelve. She was found living in an orphanage in Stillwater, Oklahoma for mutant children until the age of sixteen. During her lonely stay, she was described as being a wild, angry, but yet quiet child who kept to herself. She was easily bullied by the other children who were more stronger and bigger than her, until the day she completely... snapped.
Canines lengthened and claws unsheathed; she became one with the animal.
After all hell broke loose, she ran away not daring to look back. She was later found living out in the streets scrounging for food and shelter until she came across Charles Xavier; the man who would later adopt her. With a gentle nudge and reassurance, she allowed him to take her to her new home in New York.
