When I was really young, I grew up around the Blues and Classic Rock. I truly wanted to be a Blues artist. This was when I was around three or four years old. I still love the Blues today, but can't play a guitar worth anything.
When I was around 10 or so, I wanted to be a hockey player. Big surprise, right? I had been following the Red Wings as best as I could from my little hovel here in Atlanta since I was three years old (in 1983), and idolized Steve Yzerman. I didn't have a real stick, so sometimes I'd get a stick that fell from a tree in the yard, and pretend I was playing hockey with a ball.
After I inevitably move (Soon™), I'll probably try to join a beer league or something. That'll be fun as hell.

Shit, I had no idea what I wanted to do until university, and even then not really.

I went from wanting to be an astronaut to being Batman to being a chef to being comedian to being an artist to being a singer to being a vet to being a biologist to being--okay, the list drags on. I changed my mind a lot as a kid and only recently have I narrowed my choices.
Ultimately, I just want to be a mother. (: But it'll be a while until I can have that. My dream job has always been to be a famous monster truck driver but that ain't gonna happen. lolol So at the moment, I'm working on getting back into school so I can be a phlebotomist, because I want to be a vampire. :B

I wanted to be a pilot when I was a kid, with the Air Force.
I got all the way into my freshman year of high school with this dream, and found out that candidates must:
-Meet refraction, accommodation and astigmatism requirements
-Have no history of hay fever, asthma or allergies after age 12
I was disqualified. =\ They're still not accepting surgically modified eyes in most cases, as well.

Astronomer, I wanted to know as much as I could about the larger universe.
Those are the ones I remember.
I never finished highschool, I'll never see the inside of a college. Everything I dreamed of being from birth to late teens will never come to pass.
I'm a computer repair guy/web coder and I fell that fits me better than anything I wanted to be as a kid.
I help run a roleplaying forum, something I never even thought about.
I'm 23 and about to be put in charge of my own department, not bad going in my book.
Dreams change, some die, but it is the way of man to adapt, and through versatility and perseverance, prosper.

I wanted to be a student teacher. Yeah, not more than that. The student teacher I had in elementary was my hero, so I wanted to be just like her.
Before that, I wanted to be a singer until one day my sister asked what I wanted to be and ended up laughing, as did all of my family... you know it's a little silly how much I remember of that event, it must've traumatized me XD. I can't sing in front of people anymore, so if you guys ever hear me sing for you, you've really won my trust.
