The Dumb Bunnies books never fail. They're hilarious, the art is cute, and it still teaches you family values. I've yet to meet a kid who didn't like me reading them these books. Now I wanna buy some of them for my son...

Also, the Skippyjon Jones books!

It's about a cat who pretends he's a heroic chihuahua. Adorable with a capital A.

Great for playing around with words. I've seen a lot of kids with zero interest in reading have a lot of fun with this one.

I had these books read to me and read them of my own accord obsessively as a child, so I'd definitely recommend them!

These however are a few books that I probably shouldn't have read when I was a kid, but I did anyways because I was too curious for my own good. XDc
