What Are Blogs For, And How Do You Make One?

Same as the title:)
I see some people make blogs describing an OC and others make a random blog. What are they for exactly? :/

They are for whatever you want to write into them.

And in a manner of speaking you already have one, just with no posts yet. You can look at the headline and go to Blogs -> Create entry, and there you can, well, create an entry. Then you will have something in it.
You can also customize your blog: make it be called something other than the default title, add a description, change the colour scheme, etc. You can do these under the My blog option, where at the right side, towards the top it says to "Customize blog".

EDIT:

Make use of the Iwaku Blogs for storing character bios or other information.
With the Blogs area, you have an opportunity to store all of your roleplay goodies in one organized place. Many members also use this to display works, articles, or commentary.
