That is wrong. IT was always planned. It is a major turning point in the comics.I don't watch TWD anymore, haven't since Season 3 because I feel like the writing continued to go down hill and what not, but with Glenn's death it is everywhere with my friends, media, etc. Since I don't watch the show anymore, or really care, I'm not going to get back in on it, BUT. My guess is what happened is the actor for Glenn didn't want the role anymore and wanted to be written off the show.
That is my guess, but you could probably do a quick search and find out if that is true or not. I just don't care enough to put in the effort.
-shrug- Oh well. I wouldn't expect them to follow the comics as too many people complain already that they don't follow the comics. I mean...Rick isn't suppose to have a hand just like in the Comics? There are a few things they don't take from the Comics and put in the show and Glenn's death could have easily been one of them.I am a comic book reader, so I knew exactly what was coming. I still had to look away. The way his fingers twitched. Holy hell.
Also. Abrahams death cut me just as Deep. He was such a badass in his own way, and he even makes the piece sign from his very first appearance as he stands up to Negan. I grow weary of the show sometimes, but what is coming up is my favorite arch in th entire comics and the TV series nails the little things sometimes.
