Judge it by any metrics you yourself care to. I often judge the creative quality of it, but that's wildly contextual. Does the art leave you with feelings you enjoy?

Art really isn't there to be judged but to be enjoyed. Whatever metrics we attach to it ultimately boils down to 'preference'.
To answer anyway. No one knows what the future holds and how it will play out, and no one experiences the world in the same context and relevance. There are shared experiences, more so now with the internet compared to the past, but interpretations and priorities differ be it because of location, age, etc... So neither, really.
