This is a sci-fi/fantasy RP. The Players are young Mages who have been brought to the Academy in order to develop their magical talent and protect their city. They will fight monsters that roam in the wilderness, investigate nefarious plots against King and Country, and so on. But that is all in their future. For now, after a bit of general plot setup, let us have the characters meet up, get to know one another, etc. We can feed them to monsters later.

The plot so far:
The students meet their teacher, Professor Yuki Okamoto, and have their first few days of instruction.

About a week into their Academy life, they are unexpectedly sent out on a mission to investigate the town of Normaden. They learn that a Witch, a powerful monster that sometimes grows from humans with magical potential, has developed in the region. Their Professor takes on the role of exterminating the Witch itself, leaving the students to handle some of its Familiars. During the students' fight, though, they are unexpectedly brought face to face with an Angel. After a fierce fight, the students are victorious and return to their homes safely.

Back in Uruk, the plots grow thicker. A massive force of Angels has gathered near Babylon, and the head honchos discuss plans of how to deal with the threat. The Academy's Headmaster learns that the Angel that the students encountered was sent by the Chief of the Galileians. What could Chief Herschel be plotting, and why involve these young Mages?

Completely unaware of these plots, the students are assigned another mission: to resolve an incident over who should possess a valuable research subject. They will be escorted and monitored by Essence Parker, one of the academy's Student Council members...

4 Mind Slot have been unleashed (60 prana left, 90 stamina left)

RP:
Elisa realized that Londo had been struck down, though he was without aura, she would still aid him so that he might at least have some chance for survival, using her Revelation skill at him. Revelation. Revelation used, and an empty mind slot was unleashed. -- Londo gains the effect.-20 prana -10 stamina, +5 prana unleash Another spell had been cast and at this point Elisa felt like she had crashed through a layer of ice and was now sinking fast. Faster than ever. At this point a regular mind would've had too much to handle. Not to mention she still held to her ability to create illusions so her mind was now violated beyond what was humanely possible. As the crack in the air healed, she focused her gaze on the angel.

AP:
Elisa begun to approach the angel with a reckless charge: "You (hurt) hurt my (her) friends... Could you... (sleep) stop?" She would try to throw a flurry of punches at the creature that would be far less intimidating than whatever was going on previously. However it was mostly due to her unique disability. (-? stamina)

The angel's brutal attacks made clear what had been brewing in Ryan's mind: They were biting more than they could chew. But there was no going back now, all of them running could just make things worsen. Instead, he rushed in to aid Almeida, as he heard the chilling noise of Londo's aura breaking; and he would not leave Almeida to fend it off on her own, even if she could.
So now, he was in attacking range of the angel, which meant it was time for him to go back into the fray...

Reaction Phase
While Almeida was busy with The Rock, Ryan rushed in, saying "I'll take the left" as he passed her by. Taking the advantage of the monster being heavily distracted, Ryan reached within for Tidrog's assistance once again, and jumped. With the boost provided, Ryan went for the lowest protrusion of the left wing and chambered his legs to be ready to strike. Gripping it with all his might, only to let go and be launched slightly upwards. Using the same momentum and the advantage of a diagonal grip, he spun his body in order to be upright. Ryan released one coiled leg at a time, yet in quick succession, the legs unfolded into the back of the wing as he spun, coordinating his lower body to propel them as much as possible without getting him off course. As he ideally landed with his right foot on the lowest protrusion and his right hand on the horizontal, higher protrusion and his left hand on the top of the wing (prioritizing gripping with his hands if possible, otherwise he'll hold on with a foot and an arm). The final attack came as he landed, reeling back his left leg in order to deliver a knee strike, as he brought said knee forward in a powerful thrust.
Accel Blitz: -10 prana & stamina

Action Phase
Wanting to take advantage of the slightly unsettling distraction caused by Suilen's summons, as well as his allies going in to attack too, Ryan released an onslaught of strikes. Firstly calling upon Tidrog, and having him propel his attacks. Then he reeled back his left leg, just to crash his knee onto the back of the angel's wing in a straight motion. After the first knee was attempted, Ryan jumped up once again, in order to reach the top of the wing if he hadn't already. In either case he would swing backwards while still holding on with his hands and planting both of his feet in violently. If he had been successful thus far, Ryan would finish by dropping his right leg, and while using the rest of his limbs as support, brought it back as much as possible without risking his grip. Only to then impact the wing mostly with his shin.

Lavi whom had rushed forwards seemed unhindered and driven. Yet now, as the last punch striked it lacked impact. The floral creature had put up no ounce of resistance, only attempting to guard oneself. Wrong As she tried to persuade Lavi that she was not an enemy, there was only a lack of response, whether she did not even register the words or whether she did not care was not clear to any others whom may be watching. However the attempt at attacking floral creature stopped entirely after the third blow. Not only such, those eyes that were looked straight at it before gave no mere but a glancing look before it head turned to look towards the Angel.

Lavi's body posture quickly readied itself, no longer for one ready for combat, but to give chase or to rush forwards towards the Angel. As her body began to move she wouldn't attempt another attack at the floral creature, unless it retaliated to attack her now he back was turned. Aiming towards the angel.

However, unlike the two of them whom sought to attack its backside on its wings she sought to go for a frontal attack. If it were the case that Elisa would come close by to Lavi, she would act in a unnaturally aggressive manner to what was between her and the Angel and would aim to push Elisa away. (-? Stamina or Standby Action)

Action Phase

As its levitation brought it a feet above the ground, together with its tall body the height difference brought Lavi to aim for a right sided hook, which though not the intent could cause with the attempts from Ryan cause instability in its form. Before quickly continuing with her assault, may it yet live still by bringing a quick left handed punch in a corkscrew manner to the left side of its middle abdomen as her right arm pulled back and followed up afterwards with a right handed body uppercut to its stomach. Londo winced in pain because the lightning REALLY hurt, like, WAY MORE than Londo thought it would. And it didn't even target his gauntlet. Maybe reading about the enemy wasn't good enough to fight them, and he needed actual experience against them. Oh well, a lesson learned this time!

Welp, this was it. Londo's glory had come to an end...

OR DID IT?

Londo gloriously survived the attack, but his aura was now broken, and a single attack could kill him! But that wasn't all. He was still able to fight, and fight he shall!

Reaction Phase:

That is, until Almeida told Londo to get the others to safety. A glorious task indeed! One Londo could do very well! And Londo would do just that, because he was a hero, and they needed him to guide them through this! and not just because I want him to live

So Londo nodded to Almeida, "Leave it to me!" He said, pointing to himself and running away tactically retreating to the others, " NIGERUNDAYOOOO, SMOOOKEEEEEY!" Somewhere along the way, he felt a surge of strength, it must have been great adrenaline! It seemed like the plant monster was friendly as well, since the others seemed to not be attacking it anymore!

Elisa seemed to be making her way to the angel, with reckless abandon. This must be what Almeida was talking about! Londo decided to duck under her swings she was going to make recklessly, and pick her up from the stomach, so he was now carrying her over his right shoulder, and ran for his life. The surge of strength he had just gotten made it significantly easier to do so with one arm. Hopefully Elisa would not be punching now that Londo was carrying her, else she'd fall to the ground on top of a Londo-shaped core, "No time to waste, I'm taking you to safety! Stop struggling, I can't die while I'm trying to save you!" Londo said, continuing to run from the angel. He gave a small wave and salute to Lavi, who seemed to have finally transformed, with gauntlets to boot! "Good luck Lavi! Have a nice fight!"

Londo finally got to the others with Elisa still on his shoulder, "Yo! We gotta get outta here! I'll protect you since I can take at least another hit right?" He said, until Hibiscus ran over to him to tell him not to take any more hits, else he'd just be a liability as they would have to get his core if he died.

So Londo shrugged, and then said, "Well alright then, but if something happens you can't handle, I'll sacrifice myself valiantly to protect you all!" He smiled, Elisa still on his shoulder.

Action Phase:

Londo decided to keep Elisa on his shoulder, until the point where she forced him to stop, as he didn't want her running back towards the Angel, "The teacher will be here soon! I'm sure Almeida can keep up with the Angel!" He said, still continuing to hold onto Elisa unless she really had stopped trying to charge the Angel! What a hero, Londo successfully saved a girl's life!

The giant Plant thing seemed to be friendly... Maybe. It was talking, and Hibiscus didn't think it was actually an enemy, so she decided to ignore it, until it decided to eat her for being the healer...

Unfortunately for Hibiscus, Londo's aura broke, and now he was as defenseless as a person who didn't have an aura. This was bad

(Start of Turn: +5 Prana, +10 Stamina)

Reaction Phase:

Also bad and unfortunate, Elisa and Lavi ran straight towards the Angel, "What!? both of you, get back here! Lavi you- Wait, you transformed?! When the hell did that happen?!" She said, Londo coming towards her with Elisa.

Well, probably for the best, as Lavi could transform now, she could be in battle. Although Londo was now spouting nonsense about protecting them, "Hell no, Londo! Your aura is broken, so you're staying back here. You've done enough already, just keep Elisa here."

Action Phase:

Trying to keep an eye on the battle, Hibiscus would heal anyone who dropped below 80 Aura. With how much the angel dealt to Londo, Hibiscus didn't want to take any chances.

Reaction Phase:

Unfortunately, not many of the people seemed to want to take the plant's advice. "Hmph. You all want to die here, suit yourselves." It then continued running away from the Angel.
(Move)

Upon spotting the green rune on the ground nearby, Ozymandius and the soldiers all frantically scrambled to get clear of the blast, with varying degrees of success. Soldier #1 escaped without incident, while Soldier #2 was still completely engulfed despite his efforts. Number 3 had the worst lot of all; he had almost gotten clear safely, but his minuscule amount of Aura meant that anything short of a flawless escape was a failure. Ozymandius ended up in a similar situation himself, though he was more than durable enough to survive what he was put through.
Soldier #2: -35 Aura
Soldier #3: -7 Aura
Ozymandius: -21 Aura
(Soldiers #2 and 3 have perished)

As the Angel was creating its boulder, its voice was suddenly stifled by the suicidal poultry in its mouth. With its song temporarily impaired, the Angel lost control over the gathering mana, causing its budding structure to destabilize and collapse harmlessly. And the bird was really starting to aggravate, so the Angel chomped down on its feathered snack.
Angel: -9 Aura
Bird: -13 Aura
(The bird summon has perished)

While the Angel was dealing with the unexpected calories, Ryan was making his approach. He grabbed onto part of the Angel's wing and used it to propel himself further up. While he was spinning around in midair though, the Angel used the opportunity to smoothly slide to its right while pivoting over its left shoulder, deftly moving out of the way of Ryan's kicks thanks to the power of its levitation. Ryan, on the other hand, had no real options when it came to adjusting his position in midair, so his first Accel Blitz would find itself wasted on the air where the Angel had been just before.

And then came the bees. Swarms of the little buggers. Three swarms, to be precise. The Angel swiped furiously at the bees with its claws, trying to remove them from the world. The first swipe took out one swarm before it could land its second attack, while the second and third swipes removed the remaining swarms.
Angel: -9, -10, -9 Aura
(All bee swarms eliminated)

As it was doing that, though, it also noticed three girls closing in on it as well. And that left out both the boy trying to kick it and the soldier that had survived its whirlwind. Well, even if one of the girls had been abducted by the boy the Angel had zapped, there were still far too many enemies for comfort. Being outnumbered and already weakened was far from an ideal state, but it still had its trump card.

Thus, the angel decided to escape upwards, darting up to hover nearly 10 meters above the heads of its enemies. The soldier taking aim with his rifle tracked the Angel as it rose, landing all of his shots, though not necessarily where it had intended. Not being stupid, the various humans canceled any attacks they might've been preparing to use, as they would only hit empty air at best; at worst, each other.
Angel: -3, -3, -3 Aura
(Touch of Death deals 5 damage to the Angel, 1/5 phases remaining)
(Counter + Attack x4: -55 Stamina)
(Angel Wings: -10 Prana -10 Stamina)

Having noticed on her AMB that Ozymandius had been injured, Hibiscus sent a healing spell his way, fully replenishing his Aura (assuming he didn't try to dodge it or anything).

When Almeida connected the call, she heard Professor Okamoto's voice call out "Almeida, situation report." The sound of something dying with a gurgle could be heard in the background, along with the continued sounds of battle.

Action Phase:

Should nobody try to stop the vegetation on legs, it would escape from the clearing a moment later and disappear into the forest.

Hopefully safe for the moment, the Angel decided to give a nice little present to the folks gathered down below. They had been kind enough to cluster together (in order to attack the Angel, of course, but that was beside the point). Well, if they were going to stand that close, it was the perfect time to place a Whirlwind rune on the ground in the middle of them. Just to be certain it was out of range itself, the Angel ascended up to hover at about 15 meters.

Two problems somehow seemed to sort themselves out. Just as Almeida was worried about whether her 'bluff' to get Londo away would work, Elisa marched in and added to her worries. In a strange twist of fate, however, that marching in was what made Londo pick up Elisa to get them both out. With the target clear of allies, Ryan passed her telling her he'd take the left, giving her the right, and Lavi joined for a frontal attack. 'Wait, Lavi joined in..?' It seemed like the kid had finally transformed. 'When did that happen?' Well, it wasn't the time to worry about it. Any help was welcome. Thanks to Suilen feeding the angel its daily snack, there was no longer a boulder heading for Almeida, however, the angel finally decided to try flying out of range. Although this gave Almeida some time to catch her breath and reply to the teacher, it'd still be troublesome.

Reaction Phase:
With the angel flying upwards, Almeida would change her previous attempt at swinging Valerius into two-handedly throwing him at the angel. With some luck, she'd be able to do so the moment she noticed it'd start flying (turning her previous AP into this RP, sort-off). Considering she'd been aiming to flank the creature, she should be facing its back by now. With some luck, she'd be able to pierce the creature's spine with the sharp side of Valerius while it was still busy escalating. Were this attack to succeed, she'd try to jump up to grab Valerius and bring him down together with the angel while it was still pierced on the sharp side. Were this attack to fail, she'd hurry to wherever Valerius would land to pick him up again. In case either option of actions were to also place her (partially) outside the whirlwind range, she'd end up turning her attack into a counter. If not, she'd have to grit her teeth and bare through it. [Attack - 5 stamina or Counter + Attack - 30 stamina]

In either scenario, she'd reply after throwing Valerius. "Some sort of plant creature lured an angel to our position, we're currently engaging it to avoid being picked off whilst running. It should be pretty harmed by now, but we're not in the best shape either." If she were to have been unable to hit the angel, she'd add; "We currently also lack the range to deal with its flight." If she were to have been able to bring down the angel, she'd add; "We might just live though..." If she or someone else were to have actually killed the angel somehow, she'd add; "We've somehow been able to bring it down... should I pursue the plant creature?"

Action Phase:
If the angel was dead and she'd be told to go after the plant creature, she'd do so. If the angel was dead, but she wasn't told to pursue, she'd instead check up on the status of the kids.

If the angel wasn't dead, but she had brought it down with her previous attack, she'd try to knock the angel over with Valerius (possibly while he was still penetrating the angel), in an attempt to keep it down and deal some damage. She's use her full weight and strength to push downwards in an attempt to keep the angel pinned down.

If the previous attack had failed altogether and the angel was still alive, she'd hope someone else was able to take care of it or that it'd run out of energy to fly before they were killed. All she could do was hold up Valerius and brace herself to guard/dodge.

Sadly, the angel ran fled from Ryan's attacks. Having him finish his spin by landing in the ground instead. After that, he kept his eyes on the angel, preparing for its next move...

Reaction Phase
Ryan was quick to notice the looming danger, appearing beneath him. It was like the attack the angel used on the plant monster before. A powerful whirlwind... it was then that Ryan came up with an idea to reach the angel. Just as the powerful currents of wind unleashed, Ryan jumped, while attempting to ignore the sharp pain this attack caused him. Once again, using Tidrog for an extra boost in speed, hoping both things would propel him towards the lower side of the angel, in order to avoid Almeida's throw. If he was successful, Ryan would grapple to anything he could have possibly reach only to then twist his body inwards, reaching in with a left knee strike to whatever part of the angel he could reach. Finally, as he let go, he brought in his right leg and attempted to hit the angel with the remaining energy of his motions with an upside down crescent kick. Now falling down, Ryan would try to adjust his body and attempt to land in a roll, right after his feet touched the ground, minimizing the damage from the fall.
If the attempt to reach the angel failed, Ryan would just get up and remain fixated on the angel, awaiting its next move.

For some, their projectile was their axe. For others, their prana bullets. For Suilen, as the Angel attempted to make its escape, flying up and away from the grasp of the fighters down below, her projectile was her bird. Grabbing the spectral avian by its talons, she hurled it upwards, giving it a boost in speed as its wings popped open.

Shooting up through the canopy with the same speed the Angel ascended, the bird sought its opening and found it, ramming itself back into the creature's throat as the freakish woman opened its mouth to cast yet another spell. Complacency was dangerous, and 15 meters was a small distance for bird to cross. Though the bird understood how inefficient its existence was, it was fine too.

As summons of their master, each of them, bird or bee, were expendable, living bullets sent to harry and harrass. Glowing bright within the monster's oral cavity, it once again tore and ripped, ravaging the spellwork of the Angel.

The bird understood, after all. So long as it proved its worth, Suilen would bring it back to her side, again and again.

Active Phase

And down below, that's exactly what she did. With the Angel airborne and shrouded by the canopy, Suilen plucked another strand of hair out, blessing it with prana and stamina. The Angel would crunch down, eat her bird whole, but in the next moment, the spectral avian would once again settle on her shoulder, reformed and remade, hungry for more.

(OOC Note: The statistics at the top of my posts will always be as of this line right here, after Start of Turn effects and before Reaction Phase begins.)

Reaction Phase:
The fierce winds released by the Angel only partially worked as intended. One of its targets took the blow without much resistance. Another had partially escaped while trying to hurl her weapon. And one tried to use the wind for their own benefit to become airborne.
Lavi: -29 Aura
Almeida: -21 Aura
Ryan: -35 Aura

Oi oi, who gave these wingless creatures permission to enter the sky? The Angel frantically shifted backwards to avoid Ryan's ascent, but that took it straight into the trajectory of the ascending hammer/pickaxe. As the Angel began screaming in pain from the blade lodged in its back, its head developed three new holes as rifle bullets penetrated its skull and exited the far side. The bird entering its mouth and clawing at the inside of its throat didn't make things better either.

The magic in its wings disappeared, and gravity reasserted its grip on the Angel as it dropped back down and crashed into the ground. Though there were a couple spasms of muscles (or whatever it had), it was clear that the monster had met its end.
Angel: -16 Aura
(The Angel has perished)

With the fall of the Angel, there were no more enemies in the vicinity. The young Mages could rest easy for a few moments.

Almeida gave her report, complete with the declaration that they had brought down an Angel. "Excellent work. I'm about to wrap things up over here. Hold please." The audio coming from Almeida's AMB abruptly cut out for about fifteen seconds. When it was turned back on, the other end of the call was quiet save for Professor Okamoto's voice. "The plant isn't a threat to us; it was probably just trying to escape and you all happened to be in its path. Wait in the clearing where I left you all. I'll be there shortly. Oh, and turn off Lavi's distress signal." The call would be ended there unless there were further questions.

A few minutes later, the bushes would rustle again, but this time, they would release Professor Okamoto, rather than a monster. (Though depending on who you ask, she could be a monster too). She held something in her hands, a crystalline substance that had been twisted and contorted in a clearly unnatural manner. "The Witch has been eliminated, and its Qualia removed. Normally we'd also be in charge of checking the area for surviving Familiars, but given the fight you all went through, I think you all have done more than enough." Professor Okamoto would then give the students some time to catch their breaths and ask any questions before they moved on.

Ozy let his gun arm drop as the angel fell from the sky. The combination of attacks had apparently been enough to defeat the thing. He eyed the kids in the group with a newfound respect. Idiots though they might have been for not running, they still survived. Sighing Ozy holstered his weapon and fell backwards on his ass as the professor entered the clearing. "This is beyond fucked." Was the only thing he had to say as he contemplated the events. At least his riflemen had managed to do some damage though. Turning his head sideways he glanced at the last remaining soldier. He didn't want to end his life getting ripped to shreds by an angel and then getting turned into a glorified marble, he almost felt like thanking them except he knew that the summons wouldn't respond to him.

Elisa

Rather than being allowed to participate into combat, Londo snatched Elisa before she could take her heroic charge. And be more creepy. At that point things were probably better like this. Elisa herself had difficulties to understand what was going on. The enemy was out there but she was being carried further away from it. So she simply gave a resentful stare at it until it was actually defeated. It was almost like Elisa's perception of reality around her was either slowed down or hastened, depending where you looked at. After the angel fell, she got more back to her senses. She closed her eyes and concentrated on waking up. Except it was difficult. She had to float back up in her mental landscape after having sunken so deep. After a few minutes the weight on Londo's shoulder got slightly bigger and she was no more transformed. Elisa breathed heavily and tried to get down in a similar fashion like she was a cat that had been held in caress for too long. She didn't really quite say anything. And her eyes looked extremely weary.

My bag... Have you seen it? I left the bracelet inside. She said after a brief pause. Her voice was in likeness to a mouse beeping. If it wasn't for the battle to be over, you couldn't even make out her words. If Londo helped her find the bag, she would find it quite quickly and put the bracelet back into her wrist. Otherwise she would wander around until someone helped her find the bag.

They angel was finally defeated, and Londo pumped the free fist to himself as the life disappeared from its body, "Nice! Now if we carve it, we can make better armor for the next time we fight it!" Londo said, but then shrugged, "Buuut, I don't have a knife, so I guess I can't do that!" Londo said, shrugging.

After a few minutes, Elisa decided to finally get off his shoulder, as it was no longer Londo's shoulder she needed to lean on, and when she asked where her bag was, Londo shrugged once again, "Uhh, I don't remember? I think you stashed it in a bush or something, but I don't remember where that bush was..." Londo replied, but helped her look for it anyways.

But before he did, he asked the teacher, "Yo teach! Can you drag another Angel here? I'm pumped and ready for another fight! That was awesome!" He said, before his transformation wore off, and he felt the fatigue of an actual fight for the first time. Not that he didn't show it, of course, as he stumbled a bit before laughing and going off with Elisa to find her bag.

While looking for Elisa's bag, Londo would keep his smile from the thought of the fight, and would give Elisa's bag to her if he found it.

The Angel finally defeated, Hibiscus released a sigh of relief, and healed Ozy, Almeida, and Lavi once more with a Healing Hurt to ensure they were at good health. Hibiscus's transformation wore off immediately afterwards, and she stumbled into a tree with how hurt she was feeling. In fact, she healed them to the point of her own Aura nearly breaking, but it was good in case some other danger appeared and took them by surprise. Hibiscus managed to keep on her feet, but it wore heavily on her, and she immediately Meditated to increase her blood levels to ensure she was feeling better, "G-Good work everyone!..." Hibiscus said, despite the exhaustion she felt.

When the teacher finally got here, Hibiscus contemplated what Londo said. Yea, he was correct in that they could carve the angel, in fact, the wings were very delicious if fried, but Hibiscus decided to expand on it in another way, as she was a bit too tired to think of carving it, "I-Is someone going to handle the cleanup of the Angel? Please don't send another... I really don't think we can take one... Oh, how was your battle, Miss? Did everything go well over there?"

It died.

The Angel died.

Geez, it was a stubborn one, wasn't it?

As the eldritch corpse crashed back into the dirt, Suilen plopped down, leaning her back against the trunk of the tree she was beside. Her spear, the corrosion from the slime finally ceasing, clanged beside her, and from her Spirit Core, Drafi popped out again, backhanding the Preying Bird on Suilen's shoulder and reclaiming his own rightful spot. The big owl was big and heavy though; with a sloping of her shoulder, Suilen allowed him to slide off.

"Rude," was the owl's response.

"No you," was her's.

"Feeling good?"

"Felt better."

"Good hunt, human."
The owl paused, pecking away residual slime. "Could do better."

"Yeah, could've."
Suilen sighed, before stretching out her left leg. It ached now, having stiffened from all the sudden movements. Her Aura was completely healthy as a result, but that didn't change the fact that her calves throbbed. "Please?"

"I want those Angel wings."

"Only a piece."

"Fine."

And with that, Drafi began to knead her muscles back into a state of relaxtion. Though his wings tickled as it brushed over her skin, there was still a pleasant force behind him; owls weren't owls because they were weakass chickens, after all. Suilen breathed and closed her eyes, listening to the sound of nature slowly being restored to the place. A powerful enemy, and stalwart, if slightly stupid, allies. A perfect victory, in that no one died and she was never hit. Something to remember, huh?

Moments passed, minutes perhaps. Professor Okamoto emerged from the brush, uninjured despite her own fight. Or maybe she was injured; Suilen couldn't gauge the state of her Aura, after all. With a tired wave of her hand, she sent her spectral bird flying towards the teacher, and said, "Could scout with the bird. Got magic for that. Faster than a group anyhow."

Felt like a month ago that she picked the Explorer Module for her AMB. Maybe now, it'll finally come into play.

Coming to a breaking halt, she skirted across the grassy base of the forest for a second. Her neck turned backwards and her head horizontal as she looked skywards.

Eyes affixed and unblinking and a brow pushed against one another. Clenched her fists and gritting her teeth as her feet pushed back and forth.

As she offered barely any reaction to the rune appeared onto dirt. Did she not notice it? Perhaps. But be as it may she did not move a foot.

The crashing winds cutting into her aura, before it began to repair itself.

The tense expression however was quick to give way, eyes widening as they looked towards Ryan whom brought himself upwards by using the cutting gales.

Her neck straightening as she looked towards the corpse that lied before on the floor, before turning her head to look around once more. Her attention fell towards the AMB on her wrist. With a shaking of her head she clicked onto the cancel button of the signal and dragged her right hand across her face for a second.

A voice from her right gauntlet, as Phoebe spoke. ''Misfortunate, but it would be best leave it at such, wouldn't you agree Lavi?'' A sigh come from her mouth as a clicking sound could be heard from her tongue. Brushing off some of the dirt, as she closed the jacket of her transformed outfit. ''Yeah, sure I guess. Ugh this headache.'' Crossing her arms as she slowly relaxed her shoulders.

They actually brought the angel down… Whether it was luck or skill, their combined efforts had managed to kill an actual angel. Almeida could hardly believe it. Now that was truly something worth celebrating with fried angel wings. Well… the latter seemed to be what a particular spirit among her teammates was up for, at least. Although even Londo, barely having escaped death, was already trying to make use of the 'loot' like a professional hunter. As Almeida informed the teacher of their status, she was told to leave the plant be. Considering Almeida hadn't heard how there had been a 'beeping' noise from it earlier, she had no further reason to pursue the plant. It also seemed like Lavi had snapped out of whatever state she'd been in to turn off the distress signal on her own.

After a deep sigh, Almeida realised she was… doing fairly well, all in all. Thanks to Hibby's healing, she was in full health, she never even used a drop of prana, and her stamina had held up quite nicely. Combined with the fact that nobody had died, they'd done surprisingly well.

She looked around to notice Elisa looking for her bag, but with Londo already helping her, it'd probably sort itself out. She also noticed Hibby had nearly healed herself to death, which she would address. "You did great, but it's okay to take a bit more of care yourself."

Soon enough, Okamoto appeared, having finished off the witch, and luckily enough, they wouldn't need to deal with the other familiars. Almeida was still a bit puzzled though. "Miss Okamoto, do you have any idea what that angel was even doing here, or why it was after that weird plant monster? Is it just a weird coincidence or might they have been attracted to the witch?" After a brief moment of hesitation, she also decided to get a bit closer to Okamoto, so that she could say the following silently enough for only Okamoto to hear it. "I'm unsure about having Elisa join in fights. For as useful as her abilities are, she was pretty… out of it, so to say, especially near the end of the battle. I'm not sure what she's going through, but I think she might've overused her magic."

With those questions out of the way, she'd wait for an answer, before turning her attention to a certain redhaired maniac, also known as Londo. "You did a good job, especially on saving Elisa, but you shouldn't keep fighting once your aura runs out. It's not exactly heroic to die because you didn't know your limits." Her words might be wasted, but there was an attempt.

She turned to Lavi next. "Lavi, congratulations on transforming! I'm pretty sure it took us all by surprise. Do you think you'll be able to transform on command next time, or did something specific cause it to work?"

She'd finally check up on Elisa, being fairly worried about her. "Elisa, how are you holding up?" If Elisa happened to be unable to stay on her feet and/or walk, Almeida would be okay with carrying her all the way back into town.

Professor Okamoto
gsaKz4R.jpg

Normaden Forest, approaching Mount Hubert
Jh5y6bN.png

As everyone was taking their breathers, some approached Professor Okamoto with questions.

Londo received a mildly stupefied stare from his teacher. "No, we cannot lure in another Angel. Even if there were more in the area, it would be foolish to lure in more for no reason."

Hibiscus, on the other hand, was begging for them to not bring another Angel, a sentiment Professor Okamoto fully supported. "With the Witch - and the Angel - taken care of, there shouldn't be any threats that the town guard can't handle. We can leave cleanup duties to them."

Suilen offered to use her bird for scouting the area. While surely a convenient ability, the locals also knew the region and probably had their own ways of scouting. "If you wish to do so, I will not stop you, but you are under no obligation to do it if you are too tired."

Befitting her role as the team's temporary leader, Almeida was the one to ask the big questions. "The plant monster you encountered was almost certainly a Spirit that goes by the name of Valerie Blossom. She's a local freelancer and helped with locating the Witch. I'm afraid I don't know why the Angel was in the area to begin with. To the best of my knowledge, a connection between Angels and Witches has never been established, but it's not impossible."

Almeida lowered her voice for the other part of her questions, so Professor Okamoto followed suit in replying. "Yes, I was afraid of that. I've been trying to persuade the Headmaster that her powers are risky, but so far I've had little success… I'm sure you realized how he can be."

Having answered any questions and given the students some time to catch their breath, Professor Okamoto decided that it was probably time to head out. Unless given a reason to linger, Professor Okamoto would then lead the students back down the mountain and back to Normaden. They would be put up in a hotel for the night (each with individual rooms) and return to Uruk the next morning.

Temple of Glory, Temple Boulevard, Uruk. July 27, 199 NWC

Londo Sperry THE GREAT!

As Londo approached the Temple of Glory, he would find a decently long line outside. The God residing here, Cadwgan, was one of the more popular gods in Uruk, given how far-reaching his powers over Glory were. A few guards stood around the temple, clad in brilliant crimson armor with gold accents. They were mostly there as symbols, since the line was fairly peaceful, but they quickly evicted any troublemakers from the queue.

----

After helping Elisa find her bag, he received some well-received praise from his teammates, and the teacher to boot! She was so scared of his glory that she wore a stupified-looking expression that Londo would even DARE to suggest bringing in another angel. Unfortunately, there wasn't one, so Londo would have to settle with the glory that he had received today from his teammates. Almeida seemed to think Londo shouldn't sacrifice himself when his Aura was so low… That presented a problem for Londo… He wanted to be the most glorious guy out there! Oh right, Glory! He had done all this for the sake of Glory, and to protect his friends!

Londo raised his fist to the sky, winking to the heavens, "That one was for you, Cadwgan! I'll be heading over now to receive my blessing!" Londo said, but would do nothing other than gloat for the rest of the trip until they got back to Uruk.

Once in Uruk, Londo smirked, jumping off the airship once he got the go-to that they could leave, and started running towards his destination: The temple of the God of Glory, Cadwgan.

Ah, the temple, as glorious as Londo remembered. It had the guards of Glory, the Gloaters of Glory, and the guards of Glory! Londo recalled the time he had first come here, seeking the blessing of the God of Glory…

Years before Londo became a mage
Back when Londo was just a little boy wanting his powers, he decided to try out a shortcut. He wanted his powers and he wanted them now dammit. He knew he'd get them eventually, but this was just a way to get them faster, and spread his glory even earlier than fate had intended.

Now was his chance, Londo wanted to see the guy whom he thought was the most glorious person in the city- nay, the world! Londo went to the Temple of Glory. And it was glorious! The guards acknowledged him as he walked past, some people recognized that he was a mage and started clapping for him! It was amazing! They even let Londo cut in front of them because he was so glorious!

Then Londo walked into the temple, and the great god himself appeared, smiling at Londo.

"Londo, you are the very essence of Glory. I shall give unto you my blessing! Wait, you are far too glorious for my blessing, I am afraid I can not do that. In fact, you should be the God of Glory! Well, only when you die that is, can't have mortals being Gods after all right?"

And so, Londo walked out, beaming brilliantly, as the guards cheered, and the city clapped and-

Ok, enough of that, you idiot, that's not how it went…

What? But I was just getting to the good part where-

This is how it ACTUALLY went….....

Well, nothing to do for it except wait!

He waited.

And he waited.

And he waited some more.

Finally! He got to the front of the line! Now he could finally see what the waiting was all about!

_____
Londo found himself before the throne. A massive man, easily over two meters tall and bulky to boot, sat on the throne. Such a seat would've been much too large for any normal person, as it had clearly been crafted for this giant. And if the man himself was not enough to strike awe into the hearts of onlookers, the immense magical presence emanating from him could be felt by even those with absolutely no talent for magic. Not even those as bizarre as Londo could completely resist the humbling presence before them.

"Child, what brings you here this day?" When he spoke, it was with the deep guttural notes of a mighty beast, but also tinged with the benevolent gentleness of a wise elder.
_____

Londo couldn't help but shake before the magnificence that was the God of Glory. He was so awesome! Londo stood up straight and cleared his tiny throat, throwing out his arms to the side for dramatic effect.

"Cadwgan! God of Glory! You have been visited by none other than Londo Sperry, the GREAT!" Londo said, spinning in place and posing, doing the actual pose perfectly because he had spent a lot of time preparing for this. He then stood up straight once again and pointed towards the God, "I have come to you today with an offer! I am not a mage yet, but I will be, and I will be one of, if not the greatest mage of all time! People will worship my name and pray to me for moments of Glory like they do now for you! What I am asking-" Londo said, raising his arms out to the side once more, "Is that you give me my mage powers now! If you do, I shall be able to spread glory in both our names far and wide, saving people and kicking angel butt!"

Londo posed once again, "I know I might seem small and unintimidating, but I am, in fact, a great and glorious person! Choosing me and giving me power as a mage will be a great investment for you!" Londo said, once again pointing towards the God, "Now, Cadwgan! I ask for your blessing, so I may become a mage and fight for Glory!"

___

Cadwgan waited patiently while the young boy introduced himself and shouted his own praises. Clearly, Cadwgan was divine, or at least his patience was, as he smiled warmly at the boy. "Child, do you not know how harsh a life Mages must lead? Why do you seek such a life? Surely there are other ways in which you could find Glory?"

___

Londo grew a bit frustrated with the calm and collected God, "What? Of course there isn't! If I want to be great, I have to be a mage! I've been a fighter in previous lives right?" Londo said, despite the fact that he had made all that up. It wasn't until he met Alice that she confirmed that he did actually reincarnate into this world.

"Londo the great HAS to be a mage, I HAVE to prove my glory by protecting others through battle and my strength!" Londo said, his fist clenched in front of him, while giving the God an angry and annoyed look.

___

The young fool. Cadwgan could sense the latent power within him, of course, but there was no telling when it would awaken. For now, he was merely a boy who had read too many stories. Of course, there was no real way to tell a child that their dream was foolish. "Well, child, I cannot grant you the ability to use magic. That is beyond my abilities. I advise you to seek out a more peaceful life. There is no need to fight monsters to obtain Glory. However, should you become a Mage one day, then return here, and I shall consider your request for a Blessing. Until then, may Glory guide you to greatness." The god leaned back slightly in his throne, a clear indication that the current conversation had ended and he was awaiting the next devotee.

__

Londo huffed indignantly, "Alright then! I'll prove to you I can stand on my own feet then! This would have been a great investment for you! But now I'll show to you I can get the power on my own for sure! And to boot, I'll even come back after I fight something, so you'll HAVE to give me your blessing then! I'll be back! I definitely will!" Londo said, giving a small wave, then running out of the temple. He needed to train, and train he did.

That day on, Londo had rebolstered his own efforts to become a mage. However, it proved fruitless until that fateful day when he was 13…

And now on to the present! After that great retelling by Alice, Londo once again made his way to the line of the temple, looking up at all its glory. He felt no less impressed today than he did when he was younger. However, this time Londo was prepared. He was willing, and ready to see Cadwgan yet again. He could already feel the mighty God's presence fill the area and air as the line inched closer and closer…

Finally, for the second time in his life, Londo made it inside the temple. Sitting there, was the God of Glory himself. However, this time Londo did not introduce himself in such a flamboyent way. In fact, this time, Londo simply transformed in front of the God, "へん かん する (Henkan Suru)!" and raised his right gauntlet up, showing Alice's spirit core resting inside.

"O' Cadwgan, I have returned, more glorious than the day those many years ago!"

__

"Indeed, the one who stands before me is a Mage." Cadwgan's deep voice resonated throughout the throne room as he replied to the boy. How tragic. The boy couldn't be older than fourteen, yet he had already begun his life of hard Academy training. "Well then. I ask of you, Spirit. Does the one you have Bonded have the power to walk the path of Glory?"

__

The spirit core was silent for just a moment, then the voice inside of it spoke up, "I'm only here to observe Londo… However, that hasn't really been the case due to how spirits work, huh? Hmm…"

Londo stared at the Spirit Core, leaning closer for an answer, "Stop breathing on me, I'm still thinking."

"O-Oh. Sorry-"

"Yes, I do. I told this boy he had been reincarnated from previous worlds. In those worlds he had the determination to fight, and protect those around him, even at the cost of his own safety and life. The same is true for this carnation of Londo."

Alice was silent for a bit longer, then spoke up once again, "If you can't see that, then you probably can't really call yourself the God of Glory, now can you?"

__

"Reincarnated? Ah, I see. This is the one he spoke of." Cadwgan murmured under his breath as he listened, faintly enough that it was clear he wasn't addressing anyone, but not so quietly that it was impossible to hear.

Well, ignoring the snark present in the Spirit's question, Cadwgan raised his voice once more and addressed Londo. "And you, boy. Are you determined to walk the Path of Glory?"

__
Londo smiled in response to what Alice said, it was really heartwarming to see how she grew during the courses of Londo's adventures, wasn't it?

Then Londo's smile grew wider and turned into a smirk, as he stood tall, proudly, and thumped his chest with his left gauntlet, "Of course! I told you already I'd pursue the path of Glory! I'm many thing, but I am not a liar! Londo, the GREAT!, will always travel the path of Glory!"

"... He?..."

"So Cadwgan!" Londo continued, not paying attention to Alice, "Give me your blessing, and I shall pursue further Glory under your name and mine!" Londo said, pointing towards the heavens with the confidence of someone who was extremely confident.

__

Cadwgan nodded as he listened to the boy's answer. "I have heard your determination, and your Spirit has vouched for your power. It is decided. Now, PREPARE YOURSELF!" The last sentence was bellowed with the ferocity of a lion's roar. There had been no indication, but a split second later, Cadwgan had left his throne, closed the gap between them, and cocked his fist back. His fist slammed into Londo before the boy could react, shattering his Aura in a single strike and sending him flying across the throne room.

When Londo would eventually get up, he would feel a burning sensation on his chest. A medallion had appeared around his neck, and the pendant engraved with a gold and red lion that hung from the necklace was the source of the heat against his flesh. The heat would die down as he looked at it, going from painful to pleasant and peaceful. "That medallion marks you as a disciple of the Path of Glory. The road that stretches before you will be long and harsher than you can imagine. But bear the desire for Glory in your heart, and you shall not falter!"

The medallion grew cool as its heat was absorbed by Londo's body. All of a sudden, he felt the same fire it had initially possessed within his own heart, and he could feel his Aura restoring itself.

Londo has gained the Blessing "Lion's Heart"!

Cadwgan turned around and returned to his throne after having made this declaration.

Londo was fully prepared for any test Cadwgan might have thrown at him, however, Londo was NOT prepared for Cadwgan to throw Cadwgan at Londo, and punched him so hard his aura was broken immediately and Londo was sent flying across the floor.

It took him a moment to get up, heavily breathing, but he was smirking as he did so, "T-That all you got?..." and as he got up, he felt burning on his chest, "Ow ow, what?!" And he looked down to see a brilliant glimmering medallion on his chest, "This-?!" Cadwgan had truly given Londo something glorious! The pain died down as the metal cooled, and Londo felt his own aura restore itself, and his body becoming much more durable for the moment.

Then it truly dawned on Londo, he did it! The goal he tasked himself with many years ago has come to fruition! Londo took off the medallion, grabbing it around the strings, and hoasting it into the air, showing off its glory to himself and the God, "Yes! I shall! I will become the most glorious disciple you have ever known! I will not let you down, Cadwgan!" Londo said, slipping the medallion back onto his neck, letting the full glory of it be shown.

Others challenging Londo? As if. Londo will take them down with style and Glory, making his true power be shown to anyone who dare say he wasn't glorious enough to be a disciple of Glory.

Londo turned away from the God, breathing in new air for the first time in his life, and raised his hand in farewell to the God, "I, Londo Sperry, the GREAT!, will walk the path of unending Glory! For you, and the people I fight for!" Londo said, walking out of the temple, imagining the cheers and applause of the crowd outside as he did so.

He did it! Londo yelled into the air and whooped, starting to run down the path past the crowd. He finally did it! He was a disciple of Glory.

Londo Sperry, the GREAT!

As the boy departed, Cadwgan watched his back, the back of one who would bear the fate of Uruk upon it. Addressing one of his guards, he called out "Contact the triplets. Tell them the boy they left behind has awoken his power and now walks the Path of Glory. And contact Ventus. I'm sure he'll wish to test this new Disciple as well." The guard saluted and rushed off to do as commanded. "Now then, Londo Sperry. Let us see where Glory leads you."
