Your character is a girl age 10-12. She was abandoned at a bus station by her mother a few weeks before the start of the RP, and has been on her own for some time. Tired, cold, and hungry, she climbs through my character (Pepper)'s apartment window in an attempt to get some rest, telling herself that she'll be gone long before the apartment's occupant returns.
Pepper is a genderfluid escort who is probably best described as being the "vodka aunt" of her small social circle. She's ditzy, often loud, and a massive flirt. She's well-known for taking the younger patrons of her local bar under her very unsteady but well intentioned wing, and is sweet at heart despite what her behavior might tell you. She is impulsive, and often keeps her true feelings hidden from those she isn't extremely close to. She walls herself off from others, while still desperately yearning to feel needed and loved. She pushes people away due to being hurt and abandoned in the past, and is hesitant to grow close to anyone.
Coming back from an appointment with a client one night, an exhausted Pepper returns home to find your character asleep in her bed. Having little experience with children, and having grown used to being alone, Pepper is uncertain of what to do with her unexpected houseguest. Upon finding out that your character has nowhere to go, Pepper reluctantly agrees to let the girl stay on her couch for a few days, insisting that the arrangement is only temporary until they can figure out exactly what to do. Despite Pepper's somewhat prickly exterior and complete lack of preparedness to take care of a kid, your character decides that Pepper is trustworthy, and grows attached to her quickly, much to the still tentative Pepper's chagrin. The pair slowly forge a bond, and that's really all I have so far, but I'm open to plotting!

She frequently has a martini in hand, and when intoxicated is prone to going on long tangents about almost nothing. She is easily excitable, and often loud without meaning to be. Pepper loves to sing and dance, and occasionally performs at local bars when she can. Pepper generally isn't one to let her guard down around strangers, and while she loves her friends fiercely, is hesitant to let people in due to having been abandoned or hurt by people she trusted in the past. Even so, Pepper is still a massive flirt, and her hook ups and flings outside of work are frequent. Despite often pushing people away, Pepper is desperate to feel loved and needed, and often uses her sex work to attempt to fill the empty void, and alcohol to drown out the pain it causes her.

Pepper was born Jeremy Gabriel. As a young boy, her femininity was an open secret, never to really be discussed by anyone. She spent most of her time with girls, playing dress up or dancing, but still, the subtle hints that Pepper was not supposed to be who she was always showed themselves. Despite wanting to play with dolls, she was always steered back to the more masculine sports or building blocks instead. So, the older she got, the more she learned to hide it, especially in school. She was bullied mercilessly for the way she spoke, the way she moved, the fact that all her friends were girls. Bigger boys chased her down and beat her up. She had one, single barbie doll she'd stolen from a friends house, and one day the neighborhood boys found it, cut all it's hair off, and ripped it apart. From then on, Pepper was even more of a target. Things got worse and worse until everything crumbled on her first day of high school. Pepper finally snapped, and the boys who had been taunting her chased her down, pinned her to the ground, chopped off clumps of her hair, and scrawled a slur across her forehead in red marker. Distraught, Pepper kept her head down until graduation, rarely speaking to anyone and keeping mostly to herself while trying to fake being as manly as possible. Due to this frequent rejection by her peers, Pepper struggled to make friends, and slowly began to build a wall around herself. Upon reaching adulthood and branching out to several gay bars, she made some close friends. She had several boyfriends, many of whom treated her poorly or simply abandoned her when the effects of her previous traumas emerged. Struggling to keep a normal job for any period of time, Pepper eventually started working as an escort, partly because she felt she had no other skills, and partly because of her desperation for some sort of affection, even if it wasn't real.

- Please be advanced. Good spelling, grammar, and detail. I write a lot, and expect my partner to be able to match my post length. This is a big thing for me. If you 'typ LIek diss' and don't use decent capitalization and punctuation, or use long run on sentences I'll most likely drop the thread or ignore the request to RP with me. Everyone makes mistakes, and I understand that, but if you can't manage basic grammar then please don't ask to RP with me. If you can't think of what to reply with, PM me and I can add a bit more.
