Hair - Sebastian's hair is a pale blonde, almost white in color, that he brushes to the side. The sides and back are lightly buzzed while the top is longer.
Eye - His eyes are a blue green that hold little to no emotion. The rim of his eyes are darker making them look darker than they are.

Outer Personality -
Sarcastic: Sebastian is a sarcastic asshole and is proud of it. He takes pride in every person he humiliates. To him it's one of his best features, but many people disagree with him saying it's amongst his worst.
Calculating: Most times Sebastian will observe a situation or person before acting. He feels strongly that if you can tell what you'er going into you will have the most success. Also, often when Sebastian looks at a person he can tell there mood and how they might react to certain comments.
Cold/Uncaring: One known thing about Sebastian is he cares about no one. He'd much rather watch some one burn alive than help. There is only one person he cared for and that's his sister Megan.
Manipulative: If it's to get what he wants Sebastian will tell people what they want to hear. He can lie through his teeth like a pro and can almost always get away with it.
Intelligent: Sebastian has existed for centuries giving him immense knowledge about everything. He's planned wars and even caused some, silently giving races strategies to use against one another.
Hot-Headed: Anyone who meets Sebastian learns real quick that he's got a short temper. One wrong move and he will blow. When he loses his temper in battle he tends to do things without thinking first.
Blunt: Yea he tells people how it is. He has no regard for others feelings and will tell them exactly what he thinks of them even if it hurts there feelings.

Inner Personality -
Caring: Secretly he cares about people but, since he doesn't trust there are very few people he cares for. The only ones he really care for is his second in command.
Romantic: Sebastian loves romance and he likes to subtly put people together. Though no one knows what he's doing.
Paranoid: After everything she's seen Sebastian never trusts and takes many precautions in places he stays to make sure no one sneaks in.
Closed Off: Due to past events Sebastian tends to close himself off from people, protecting what's left of his heart. He never truly lets people in, the closest anyone will get to him is being a friend. When he notices people getting close to him he usually stops the conversation or changes the subject.

POWERS
Powers -
1.) Poisonous Blood - The user has poisons in their blood which the user can use against their opponent or when threatened. They can choose to release their poisonous blood when physically cutting themselves to ooze of their blood. If someone were to touch via skin contact or inhale the smell of this blood, the person will severely damage their internal organs and literally causes skin to be infected.
2.) Poison Manipulation - User can create, shape and manipulate poisons and poisonous substances. For the sake of clarity: poison, toxin and venom are terms for any substance that injures the health or destroys life when absorbed into the system: poison is the general word, toxin is a poison produced by an organism (plant, fungus, animal); it is especially used in medicine in reference to disease-causing bacterial secretions, venom is especially used of the poisons secreted by certain animals, usually injected by bite or sting.
3.) Toxic Absorption: Sebastian developed an X-gene independent of his genetic modifications. A mutated axillary lymph node situated in his left armpit naturally absorbs all harmful toxins in his system.

Power Limitations -
1.) Poisonous Blood - When the user is in a physical battle and has cuts or open contusions, there will be blood which can be dangerous to allies when in the vicinity. Poison must touch the target somehow. Ineffective against Poison Immunity.
2.) Poison Manipulation - Unable to create poison, being limited to manipulating only from already existing sources. Distance, mass, precision, etc. depend upon of the knowledge, skill, and strength of the user, and their power's natural limits

Weapon -
Stinger: All absorb are converted into his own biological weapon in the form of his left arm to generate a powerful toxin that can stun or at its peak, even kill an adult human.

HISTORY

Backstory - Sebastian didn't have a normal life. He came from a rich family and got whatever he wanted. Sadly the only thing he didn't get was the love of his parents. They would leave for days, telling the maids to take care of him, they even ignored him when they were home claiming they were too busy. Then one day they gave him away to men in white coats, scientists. They took him to a facility where they ran tests on him, injected him with different things, and operated on him till he couldn't move.

Soon after going to the facility he found all the things they did to him caused strange powers to emerge. He became violent, started talking to the spiders that walked by, and worst of all killed any doctor that came near him. The place deemed him a danger and locked him away deep in the basement were no one would find him. He was visited 4 times a day, three for food, and on peculiar visit from a women and man. The women would talk to him, ask how he was doing, what she can help him with. It was strange.

The man would stand there taking notes and observing his body language. This continued till on day a group of man came in and restrained him, pulled him from his cage, and dragged him to a cafeteria. There were other people there, faces he'd never seen. Everyone sat in silence for many hours, a tense aura in the room as if at any moment someone would make a move.

A man walked in, gave a speech, then left. Another man walked in, this time he gave us information. He spoke, "We have been watching all of you for many years now and we here believe it's time you learn who you are. When you first got here we experimented on you, gave you powers. Now you will learn to use them. You will learn by using them on each other. Of course once you learn to control your new powers you can leave, but only when you learn to control them." With that he left and an uproar began. People yelled and fights broke out. All this time Sebastian sat in silence, thinking of a way to learn his powers fast enough to leave.

More years went by (Sebastian's 18 now) and few people remained, Sebastian being the main reason. He was ruthless during training and would kill his opponent if he wanted to. It became clear that he was the strongest yet people still challenged him. Till finally the day came when there were only two. The fight was long since both were strong but, Sebastian came out on top. From this fight he got a scar, a claw mark. The man he was fighting could turn into a a werewolf at will.

Months went by before he finally was let out, but what they didn't know was that he was going to seek revenge upon them. For a few years he attacked anyone he pleased and made a name for himself. The people called him scorpion and he was fine with the name. It suited him.

One day he got an idea, we wanted to bad together villains in a group. It took a few years to get everyone to follow him but when they did they started planning. He called there group Viper since he was the leader and his main weapon was a viper venom.

Height - Standing 5' 4" with a longer torso than legs
Weight - She's neither too heavy nor too skinny, but a healthy 122 lbs.
Build - Her figure has fat in all the right places giving her a curvy figure with little muscle.
Hair - Celestia's hair is a darker red color and reaches her upper back. On weeks day's her hair tends to be down and straightened, but on weekends she likes to mix it up. Saturday's she will either put it in a messy bun or curl it while in Sunday's she braids it.
Eye - Her eyes are a pale blue with a darker blue along the edge. Many times people have said her eyes are a window of how she feels. One look and you know her emotion.

Complexion - While is may look pale Celestia's skin has a slight tan too it along with little blemishes and slight freckles dusting her cheeks and nose usually covered in make-up.

PERSONAL
Outer Personality - Bubbly. That's the first thing people notice about Celestia. She seems to always look at the world with optimism, like there's a greater meaning to the world. Though right after that people usually start to avoid her since the second she starts talking they realize she's extremely talkative and tends to ramble. Celestia's also moody and easily annoyed. It's best not to annoy her or face her wrath. Her moods will change so fast it makes people think she's PMSing. Not to mention if anyone annoys her she will avoid them like the plague. Celestia can also be quite sarcastic, especially when people state the obvious.

Inner Personality - Contrary to her personality Celestia is scared of her life. She hates having to hurt people even if they are attacking people and herself. It's just not in her nature. Celestia loves to help people, that's one reason she became a hero, but sometimes she doesn't help people if they hurt her or her friends emotionally or physically. She doesn't like talking about her past as it's not a happy one.

Powers -
1.)
Geokenesis - Celestia can psionically control the movement of the tectonic plates within the Earth's crust within limited areas, probably no less than a radius of a few city blocks. Within this area she can create small or large earthquakes by psionically affecting the Earth's crust.
2.)
Geo-Thermokenesis - She can psionically cause magma, or molten rock, from far beneath Earth's surface to rise to and break through the surface, forming miniature volcanoes. can also telekinetically project fiery blasts of magma at targets. She does so by turning nearby rock molten and then telekinetically hurling it at her target.
  • Magma Form: When using her powers Magma's body shines with intense light and gives off tremendous heat. Her hair seems ablaze with fiery light. Neither her own heat nor heat from any other known source can burn or otherwise harm Magma. Although Magma has triggered small earth tremors without taking on her glowing form, she has never been seen to use her power to fire lava blasts while in her ordinary human appearance. Magma is not blinded by the light she gives off in her shining form and is immune to the dangerous effects of flame and heat while in it. This ability can also be called geo-thermokinesis.
3.) Pyrokenesis - She can create flames and project blasts of heat that do not contain any molten rock. However, she prefers to fire magma blasts rather than simple heat blasts, because the magma blasts have a solid impact that can knock down a target. The highest level of heat that Celestia can generate is not yet known.

Power Limitations -
1.) Geokenesis - Limited distance she's able to control it.
2.) Geo-Thermokenesis - Can only cause little volcanoes and it takes a lot out of her.
3.) Pyrokenesis - Unable to make fire can only manipulate it.

HISTORY

Backstory - Celestia never had a normal life. Before she was born her mother got stuck in a fire, she survived but, unknowingly her daughter inside was altered. After being born her family knew she was different, still they loved her unconditionally. Unlike her brothers or parents Celestia had red hair instead of brown or blonde. Neither sides of her family had red hair so it confused everyone.

ABILITIES

Powers - Aerokinesis
Micheal possesses the power to control the air or wind around him to be used in a variety of ways. Mainly using it in the way or manipulating oxygen and nitrogen to be formed into powerful gusts of wind that can give him feats such as flight and enhanced senses, as well as abilities like allowing himself to bled into the air around him and become invisible for moderate durations. Micheal also uses his abilities to generate powerful tornadoes or to use his ability like a vacuum or change the atmosphere in an area to perform feats such as removing the oxygen from an area or withholding it from someone to even making the pressure around an object or person increase or decrease to his will. Finally he can use powerful currents of wind to lift others or objects around him. Use currents of air to extend and enhance his senses in the form of sensing attacks or shifts in the air around him to finally abilities such as enhancing his speed by lowering the air resistance his body would normal come across. Other strengths include the immunity against most electrical and other air based attacks as he can insulate electrical currents in the air or nagate air based powers directed towards him.

Also was trained/taught by his fiance to be more resistant against mental forms of attack.

Power Limitations -
-Cannot use his abilities in a vacuum
-Ineffective against other wind based users
-Atmosphere must be present
-Must be wary against powerful Electrical and Pyro type users as Air molecules can be detonated by lightning/electricity, and oxygen can help fuel fire if not controlled properly
-His mind is only guarded against those with low to moderate control of mental abilities, has great difficulty against stronger opponents and can only push out for small periods of time. It is not a superhuman power, merely training the brain to detect and help resist mental intrusion

Costume - Dark Padded Leather Jacket (Silver and Blue) with Helmet (https://pic.xcoser.com/Captain-America/3001-2072-00-1.jpg ), Also had bullet proof armor built into his suit mainly focused on his helmet, chest, and arms against surprise attacks. The costume is also insulated to protect against the colder tempertures at higher altitudes. All of the protective elements of his costume have been Augmented by Galahad.

HISTORY

Backstory

Michael and Sara de Grey were both raised by their grandparents after being removed from their parents care at a young age. Their father was absent and did not desire to care for either of them and was highly abusive to the children's mother who was eventually driven to a terrible drug addiction. Even after the passing of their grandfather the children lived a rather decent life and took care of one another, pushing and motivating each other through school and the small problems they had as they both matured at a younger age than most. Eventually getting jobs of their own and soon Micheal himself would discover he held abilities of his own that had existed throughout his life without his knowledge. Sharing the knowledge with his sister alone and taking the time to practice and grow his control over the wind and air in discreet locations around town. Sara herself discovered she held a minor form of emotion manipulation as she was always able to make others become more joyful or free of worry just from a small conversation.

Soon after graduating High School Micheal would leave their grandmother in Sara's care back at home and moved out to college without a clue as to what he wanted to do in life. One secret he held since he was younger is while he was all in all a good kid he had the taste of alchohol from a young age and ever since he had struggled with keeping his problem a secret and under control for that matter. Eventually he would come to meet another soon to be student named Adelaide at a party that started the weekend before the semester began and almost immediatly she had stolen his attention and soon his heart eventually leading him to propose after their years together and even having a beatiful little girl name Harper between the two of them. Another blessing the child brought was a strong sense of responsibility to Micheal and while he had done a number to lessen his drinking, as soon as he was told they were to have a child he found the strength to put down the bottles for good and has been sober ever since.

But with all good things eventually come to an end and not long after their daughter was now seven years old and it was her birthday as they waited in their home together for Adelaide to return only to see on the news about a massive city wide attack from a villainious group called Viper. With his sister already at the home he left his daughter with her and rushed to the scene to help with the ensuing panic and destruction while more importantly looking for his fiancee only for her body to never be found even as Micheal looked through the last of the rubble for hours on end to return home to a crying daughter and having to break her heart even further. That day was the closest he had come to returning to drinking but refused to for both her memory and their daughters sake.

Now Micheal is a bartender at both the 21 Club and Fanelli Cafe and has done pretty well for himself and his daughter. People will occasionally ask him about a bit of his story and when his story of Alcholism surfaces he is met with further questions to which he always responded with, "Being surrounded by temptation or bad decisions and every single day choosing to push them aside is a strength few people possess, I don't look at my past bad habits like a scar, more like a reminder of the good I continue to do and inspire in others with something so simple yet difficult. Don't forget the tip for the tale"

As for his work as a hero he has always kept his secret underwraps to only let his sister and fiancee know about his abilities and hero status. Even working alongside his fiancee who went by the name of Sorceress during their time together.

She wears a durable work belt composed of thick nylon webbing, with a metal quick-release buckle, loaded down with various pouches and tool cases. Her shoes are exclusively steel-toe work boots with ample ankle support, which further reinforces the idea of industrial equipment. She also commonly wears a black hooded sweatshirt with a few alterations to protect her identity. More information is available at the end of this document.

In addition, Sam rarely travels anywhere without a black messenger bag stuffed with various tools and components. It is simultaneously a mobile workstation and limited storage for small amounts of junkyard acquisitions. Larger, more profitable scavenging missions require more equipment, and more risk, thus Sam does not tempt herself by allowing them. The bag has been fitted with a rechargeable power source, an ESD-safe soldering iron, a tablet with many digital reference guides and resources detailling general electronics, and a host of multi-purpose tools such as electronics-repair screwdrivers, digital multimeter, wire strippers, etc. Essentially, those tools which will not fit on her belt are kept here.

The messenger bag does have one pocket reserved for a folding duffel, in the event that Sam absolutely must take more resources than what will fit in it. In these situations, the duffel will be slung across her back. This is a last resort, always, as the extra weight can only slow her down.

As for general appearance, Sam's body language suggests a timid, non-confrontational personality. She keeps her head down and likes to move with other people in a crowd. It takes a trained eye to understand that this is an affectation intended to avoid drawing attention. She also refuses to wear makeup, and frequently mocks those who do.
Outer Personality - Harsh, cynical, sarcastic, bordering on hateful. She is frequently critical of others who fail to meet her expectations, even if she has made the same mistakes herself. Her trust is difficult to obtain and easily lost.

Inner Personality - Thoughtful, creative, and adamantly focused on improving her environment through technology. Sam can be incredibly meticulous, spending inordinate amounts of time on the smallest detail. Her world is tightly controlled through organized workspaces, custom solutions to dynamic problems, and countless ones and zeroes. Though she proudly claims misanthropy, the truth is that life has been incredibly lonely for her; it is easier to claim to reject friendship than to realize there are none available for her.

Sam's life is simply not compatible with the concept of being on a leash. Every person is afraid of being hurt, or killed, but for her...even the threat of violence is second to that of being caged.

Also known as Selective Psychometry: Technological. This ability allows her mind to "ping" a device of any technological sophistication with a series of psionic bursts which resonate with its components. The pattern of reflection is instinctively decoded and translated directly into the memory center of her brain, allowing her to create a complete map of the device in an instant. Its intended function, any damages which might be interfering with that function, potential weaknesses that may be exploited, and even the potential for repurposing the device -in part or in full- are examples of the scope of this ability.

Once mapped, the specifications of that device are retained through a form of eidetic memory. The process is so intense that it is technically causing a form of minor brain damage, burning that information into her memory forever. Dampening, blocking, draining, or even permanent loss of her ability will not remove the information of how to use or exploit any device she has already mapped.

Limitations: First, due to the intensity and magnitude of such massive amounts of information being forced into her brain at once, Sam frequently succumbs to sensory overload during the process. This results in loss of consciousness, at minimum, for lengths of time typically proportional to the complexity of the device. A simple circuit may not trigger this effect for any more than a few nanoseconds, while a GPS-enabled cell phone might knock her out for several minutes. This weakness also frequently leads to a period of disorientation and short-term memory loss once she does regain consciousness, which can present problems if she has to map a device in enemy territory.

Second, the ability typically manifests at touch only. There have been cases in which Sam has been able to map a device within several feet, but certain metals, radio waves, and other interference make it exceptionally difficult to achieve without sustained effort. At range, the ability becomes less reliable, less accurate, and takes longer to complete. As one might expect, ranged use, while unreliable, does present a much less potent strain on her senses than touch, and will therefore not always result in loss of consciousness.

Other Considerations: It is possible that this ability may eventually be capable of producing other effects than just reading technology. The possibility exists that bombarding electronic components with the right kind of psionic waves may induce current to flow within those components. Sam may eventually gain the capability of using her limited psychometry to actually manipulate existing devices, whether through touch or at range. If she does learn to do this, it is an ability which would prove to be almost impossible to correctly regulate for complex devices; she would have to know the exact voltage and amperage of every component at work, and time her bursts to coincide with all of them.
Sam's mind operates at a level that is not fully understood by modern medicine. The last EEG performed on her by doctors at the facility she formerly attended actually showed multiple simultaneous readings; as if there was not one mind at work. Her IQ has not been accurately determined, because there is no test in existence for this type of mental activity. Essentially, her mind is a multi-core system.

Limitations: While her decision-making process and ability to analyze complex data sets is greatly magnified, Sam is prone to frequent loss of attention span. She finds it difficult to concentrate on one thing at a time, and is often thinking about fifteen other things while someone is trying to talk to her. It is not necessarily that she's incapable of paying attention to her surroundings; she just...bores very, very easily. This can become a problem, especially when that big brain of hers sees a challenge she's not supposed to accept.
Sam's greatly accelerated neural processing has had the side effect of allowing her to respond to developing situations much more quickly than a normal human. Her brain is able to process signals from her senses with greater accuracy, which has created a kind of super-agility and hyper-awareness of her own body as it moves. Angle, distance, velocity, force...all of these factors are processed at accelerated speeds, giving Sam a level of coordination and dexterity which allows her to accomplish extremely difficult and complex movements, such as evading attacks, leaping through narrow openings, tumbling to absorb an impact from a fall, or even maintaining balance under adverse conditions.

Limitations: Although the ability greatly enhances Sam's ability to conduct herself through difficult physical movements, it does not improve her speed, strength, or endurance in any way. It is barely a power unto itself; more like a secondary effect of her enhanced intelligence. It will make her a difficult target to lay hands on, but she will still have to rely on her devices to survive.
A pair of fingerless gloves, constructed of heavy-duty nylon webbing and anti-slip grip material. The gloves are fitted with a high-discharge lithium polymer power source and a high-voltage DC transformer circuit. They are controlled through accelerometers built into the transformer, which are capable of registering impact and pressure changes in the electrodes, which are located between the knuckles and in the palms of each glove. The gloves carry enough power for several 10-second discharges each, but require several hours to recharge once drained.

The actual output of the transformer circuit is regulated by length of contact, meaning that prolonged contact with a target resistant to their effect may eventually be incapacitated anyway, due to the continuous increase in output over time. Simply put, the longer she maintains contact with a target, the more of the glove's energy is dumped into the attack. This offers a dynamic range of effectiveness against targets which may or may not have access to armor, or increased resistance to electricity. In any event, there is a maximum value to the gloves' discharge rate, as rate-limited by their maximum capacity for power. It is therefore feasible that a substantially defended or naturally resistant foe may be able to retain consciousness after a full discharge...but unlikely. Even some dialectric materials are not enough to stop the electrodes arcing through the material and into the target.

The Shrieker is a baseball-sized metal sphere fitted with an array of high-output surface transducer components. Its entire surface resonates with these transducers, emitting a horrendous screeching sonic assault tuned to the frequencies which can cause severe ear damage and disorientation in normal humans. The lithium polymer power source at their core is capable of multiple uses, depending upon the length of each discharge, however most subjects need less than 30 seconds to be completely subjugated by the intense pain which accompanies their area of effect.

Shriekers are capable of shredding most commercially-available hearing protection, and operate at a decibel level capable of permanently damaging human ears with even short-term exposure. Hearing protection specifically designed to filter out sustained, high-frequency, high-decibel environmental noise will lessen these effects, but short of military-grade protection, will not completely protect against the effects.

The Shrieker is equipped with settings for omni-directional emission, or directional emission, as well as burst-fire, specified duration, or sustained discharge. At the correct frequencies, a Shrieker can exploit sonic resonance to cause structural damage to certain materials, especially if set to maximum discharge and directional emissions. They can break windows, cause micro-fractures in armor plating, and even cause stress fractures in human bones.

At this time, there is only one defense known to be completely effective against Shriekers, and Sam has it.

A sadistic blend of pure capsaicin in an alcohol suspension, blended with an oxygen-reactive foaming emulsifier, Hellsauce is deployed via pressurized spray nozzles routed through Sam's sleeves, and fixed at the backs of her wrists. Flex sensors in the mounting mechanism are used to trigger the sprayers, which eject a thick, dense, dark-brown liquid at high velocities which can reach up to 50ft before dispersing in open air.

The emulsifier begins reacting with oxygen the instant it is fired, but the reaction is slow enough that the substance typically reaches its full effective range before foaming. Once the substance reaches a certain saturation level, its reaction begins to accelerate exponentially, ultimately covering the target area with a dense, opaque substance which can be extremely difficult to remove without specialized materials. It is tacky, and will stick to anything used to attempt to remove it.

Perhaps the worst news is the fact that this devilish chemical concoction has been laced with high amounts of heavy alkaline metals, such as Potassium, which react exothermally when exposed to water. Targets who attempt to wash the substance out of their eyes are subject to severe chemical burns and temporary or permanent blindness.

As for general effectiveness, the capsaicin content of the foam is far above the legal limit allowed for commercial sale, and will almost instantly cause relentless tearing, blurred vision, intense pain and irritation of the eyes, mucous membranes, and airways, and is often accompanied by uncontrollable fits of coughing and nausea. The substance also sublimates, once the foaming reaction begins, making airborne exposure possible to targets within several meters. It is not necessary to be hit with the substance to feel its effects, although indirect contact will result in significantly reduced effectiveness.
Sam's attire may play host to a number of small countermeasures-related devices, including extendable batons, knives, and whatever else she may pick up that might serve the function of preserving her continued survival. This section may be updated as those items are acquired/discovered/disclosed.

Sam typically employs two main systems of anti-surveillance countermeasures; the first against cameras, and the second against GPS tracking devices.

Very few security cameras run on antiquated film, anymore; they're all digital. A specialized, photosensitive component is able to record various wavelengths of light into a computer file format, which is later reconstructed as pixels on a screen. Sam's camera baffler is essentially just a string of high-output IR LEDs embedded in the rim of her hood. IR emissions show up on digital cameras as white light, which makes these high-power, wide-angle LEDs devastating against the concept of recording facial features. The absolute best a modern camera can hope for is a blurry silhouette against the darkness; the worst an intense white blur where she should be. The LEDs each require less than 20mA of current, at about 4v, and are chained in such a way as to maximize battery life. The devices are sewn into her hoodie and exploit a solar recharge system for maximum use before requiring a proper charge at a wall outlet.

It should be noted that only digital cameras are affected, but unless those cameras incorporate an IR filter, they will be shown only a white blur. The only method for defeating this countermeasure is to take away literally the only system a modern camera has for night-time operation, which is precisely when Sam is most active.

As for the GPS tracking scrambler, it is most effective in a location with multiple GPS units in use. Sam is intelligent enough to know that any jamming signal is detectable, even if unreadable. So, her solution to evading trackers is to employ a BlueJacking system which invades cell phones, wireless speakers, computer accessories...anything within range, and project a broad-spectrum jamming signal through these devices. While a tracker planted on or in her belongings might be able to narrow the search to within a few meters, the scrambler can blanket an area of up to several miles if a suitable chain of bluetooth-enabled devices can be established. This makes tracing the source of the jamming signal infinitely more difficult, because literally hundreds (if not thousands) of devices are sharing that signal; any one of which could be Sam.

Richard presently works as head of online marketing for a local pharmaceutical company. He has a degree in business, and occasionally writes for a somewhat-noticeable food blog. Although he tries to hide it behind a jovial and friendly demeanor, he is deeply troubled by his daughter's disappearance and has committed a substantial sum of resources to engage private investigators in the area, tasked with finding her.

Rachel is a high-value member of a law firm based out of NYC. She moved to the "big apple" after a lucrative offer made by the firm prompted her to leave her hometown of Baltimore, MD. It was there that she met Richard, though their first meeting had more to do with the feasibility of a new marketing campaign in the face of certain privacy laws than it did with romance. The two worked together for several weeks, ultimately deciding to give love a chance. Neither wanted to give up their careers, and their combined income gave them the ability to provide for Sam during the day.

The news of Sam's escape has had a profound effect on Rachel as well. While she wants her daughter found, she is not exactly beating down the doors of the local police department to get it done. Rachel seems hesitant to welcome Sam back into hers and Richard's lives after several years of relative peace, and may even be afraid of the woman Sam has become.

Enemies - Multitudinous, if they ever find out who helped their rivals. Sam has a nasty habit of providing "tech support" for the underground. Good thing she never uses her real name.

Backstory: Much of Sam's early development was spent under the care of a total stranger. Her mother and father, both being absorbed in their careers, believed that a live-in nanny would be enough to properly raise her if they were selective enough about the vetting process. Unfortunately, this did not have the desired impact. Sam displayed a willful and stubborn streak as early as crawling age, insisting that she get into absolutely everything with in her tiny hands' reach. The problem was temporarily remedied by some slightly more-aggressive-than-normal babyproofing of the house, but this uneasy peace did not last much past walking age.

Sam's childhood consisted mainly of acquiring things that should not be tampered with and tampering with them. She was particularly fond of electronics, and showed expensive taste; typically gravitating toward hard-to-replace items like laptop computers. It was not an intentional malice, but a genuine curiosity in how these devices functioned, which unfortunately could not be satisfied with a screwdriver alone. The most expensive casualty of this penchant for prying into anything more sophisticated than a wristwatch, her parents feared, was the obvious impact it had on her social development; Sam was distant and seemingly emotionally unavailable at school, refusing to engage unless specifically maneuvered into participation. Despite poor grades, Sam displayed a keen intellect and would often score very highly on evaluation tests. Her teachers asked why she would not participate in classwork, but chose to take these tests instead, but Sam refused to give a satisfactory explanation beyond school being "boring."

Worried, her parents began psychological evaluation by seven years of age. Though many specialists pointed out the same problems, it seemed none could agree on the causes. Sam was started on several medications, most of which were stopped almost as quickly as they began, due to the conflict of professional opinion. These chemicals were often potent, mind-altering drugs designed to literally rewire the way the human brain functions, and, not surprisingly, did not have a positive influence on her situation when taken in whole. By the time Sam reached the start of her adolescence, she had already been in trouble with the law for vandalism, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and physical assault.

Every method for incorporating her into the social structure of the school met with either abject failure or obstinate resistance. "They hate me, and the feeling's mutual," read one report. In the absence of other options, Sam was admitted to St. Andrew's Behavioral Rehabilitation Center. There, she would spend the rest of her unstable youth, subjected to every program available...without results. It is not altogether clear whether Sam's state of mind is the result of the natural progression of her mental development, or if the chemical cocktails warring with one another have somehow caused her situation to worsen.

By seventeen, Sam was able to develop an escape plan. She waited and watched, learning the systems at work inside the facility, and worked out how to create a diversion using medications she scavenged and scraped together. She literally poisoned a fellow patient and slipped out in the confusion.

During the next few years, Sam survived by any means necessary. She has developed a natural talent for eluding security cameras, learning guard rotations, and slipping in and out of secure facilities unnoticed. These skills have enabled her to acquire the equipment and materials necessary to sell her services as a tech wizard to all manner of clientele on the street; ranging from disabling security for common thugs to providing a network of burner phones for more organized criminals.

Perhaps her most ingenious scam has been the infiltration of several ATM service and repair companies; intercepting parts shipments and installing Skimmer devices, then sending the parts on their merry way, ultimately to be installed by the bank's own service team. The funds siphoned from legitimate transactions are measured in fractions of a cent, carefully engineered to raise no notice by disguising themselves as part of the bank's legitimate transaction fees. It is not enough to pay for a place to live...but she can eat.

At this time, Sam's movements are growing scarce. There are rumors that she is working on something big, but even her online contacts have been kept in the dark. Perhaps most disconcerting is the fact that almost every one of her online aliases have gone completely dark for the last two months. Even the mythical "Goldberg" has begun reducing its presence on the street, having performed only two jobs in that time.

Special Consideration: Goldberg is the alias Sam uses when she needs both total anonymity and brand recognition. Some of the biggest jobs she's pulled have been executed under this alias. Communications blackouts, jamming of emergency broadcast frequencies, stock market manipulation...this is her Black Ops alias. Those who hear it spoken aloud know that, if Goldberg is interested, something is about to go down. It will go without saying that extra precautions are always taken when operating under this name.

Most of these identities are not revealed until circumstances require it. Sam is a very private person. The less said about who she is and what she does, the better.

**Hero or Villain?: Oh, Sam's definitely "decided." Some elements of her personality and mental state make it difficult for Sam to think in subjective terms like "good", "evil", "right", and "wrong". Much of what she does would be considered by others to be evil, but they don't know the reasons behind her actions. The truth is that Sam falls into neither of those categories, because she is either unable or unwilling to make a distinction between them. For her, there is no postive force or negative force...just force. There is the objective, the obstacle, and the solution. Nothing else merits the energy wasted by thinking about it.

***Sexuality: Sam's inability to relate to humans extends even as far as to interfere with her sexual development. She did not have proper care or education during puberty, meaning she has little to no real knowledge of the human reproductive process. The changes in her body, the urges and feelings toward others that inevitably came with those changes...were dismissed as a defect in her physiology. She has tried very hard to bury those impulses. This has led her to not only reject sex, but to actually feel disgust toward the idea of it. This is not to say that she cannot learn and grow, and eventually embrace those thoughts and feelings, but at this time she is not prepared to handle them.

****Ailments: Sam has been diagnosed with borderline sociopathy, due to her apparent inability to distinguish right from wrong, as well as her chilling passivity toward the thoughts and feelings of others. She is cold, callous, and refuses to emotionally engage with anyone. Although it is possible to anger or upset her, Sam appears quite resilient against even a direct provocation of emotional response.

She is also given to paranoid delusion and persecution complex, although not all of that may be in her head. Sam is hyper-vigilant about her surroundings, mistrustful of others (especially those who prepare or handle food), and constantly plans for escape routes upon entering any given room.

There is evidence of abandonment issues, which may help to explain why making new friends is so difficult. There is an expectation that loyalty is a fictional concept, and that any given person may turn on her at any given time.

All of these things lead toward a person who legitimately does not consider whether her actions are justified, let alone how others may feel about what she does or how she behaves. She will often react with genuine surprise when someone is upset by her words or acts, which is often immediately followed by dismissal of the validity of those complaints.

Essentially...her overall attitude toward humans in general is that they are a necessary complication in her life, and that, if carefully managed, they won't interfere with her plans. She barely even considers them to be alive.

Backstory
Jolene's mother left shortly after she was born, leaving her under her father's care. Jolene's father just so happened to be a rising criminal, and throughout Jolene's childhood, he rose to the rank of one of New York's most wanted villains. He possessed strong tychokinetic abilities, and would use them to his benefit whenever he could, even if it meant killing people. Jolene's father cared for no one- except for Jolene. She was her father's pride and joy, and he loved her even more when she began to display the same abilities as him. He trained her to properly hone her abilities, though she would always refuse to mortally harm people if he ever asked her to do so, much to his displeasure. Her father's greed eventually landed him in trouble when he was caught by a big shot hero looking to take him down. Jolene had been with him when he was caught, but managed to get out of their sight when they cornered him. She hid in the shadows, watching as her father fought for his life, inevitably ending in his death. Jolene was overcome with emotion and shock from the scene, and from the shadows, she caused the Hero to drop dead of a heart attack. Since then, Jolene has joined Viper, and taken the path of mischief, making a name for herself as one of the more elusive, and more dangerous villains. Aside from being a villain, she also has a flower shop that not too many people come to. Most would wonder how she gets the money to keep it open...

Outer Personality - Mathias is a debonair gentleman through and through. He's the type of person to cast a wry smile your way, and hold the door for you even if it's raining and he's getting soaked. He's a smooth talker, very charismatic and often encourages people to share their problems with him in by giving the pretense that he just wants to 'lend an ear'. When dealing with 'difficult' people, he has been known to be sarcastic and a frequent user of dry humor.
Inner Personality - The real Mathias is a conniving, selfish and cut throat man. Everything he does is to benefit him in the long run and if things end up being an inconvenience to him, he loses his temper. An angry Mathias, is a danger to everyone. When he's upset, he tends to become sadistic and almost manic. Similarly, a frightened Mathias is equally as dangerous. Mathias has an almost hysterical fear of death and will often break his cool and calm demeanor to destroy a threat to his health and well being. Mathias is an immaculate man, who does not tolerate grime, mess and slobs.

Powers -
  • Doll Manipulation - The ability to control, and manipulate dolls. Dolls that he has made are usually stronger than premade ones. Mathias is able to use dolls to fight for him, act as spies or just be general nuisances. The biggest he is able to make a doll is about the height of a small house.
  • Dollification - The ability to turn an individual into a doll.
  • Possession (Doll Specific) - The ability to possess a doll with his own consciousness.

Power Limitations -
  • Premade dolls are easier to defeat than handmade dolls, however handmade dolls take a lot longer to create.
  • He cannot just manifest dolls from thin air, he has to craft them first.
  • When he dollifies someone, the process can take up to a week depending on how large the person is. Furthermore, a person with a strong will may be able to resist his control or still retain their powers after being turned into a doll.
  • He can only transform one person at a time.
  • Possessing a doll renders his original body defenseless. People with mental powers can trap his consciousness in a doll's body, although when their control lifts, he can return to his human one or a free doll's body if his human body is compromised.

HISTORY

Backstory -
Jan 3, 1965 - The Thorn twins had lived a relatively normal life in a relatively normal town with relatively normal parents. They were reared by Mateo and April Thorn who loved their children, Mathias and Natalie, dearly. They worked hard to provide their children with a stimulating and rich environment, however when the twins turned eighteen, tragedy struck. First, their father was taken from them by a drunk driver. Then their mother, wrought with sadness stopped taking care of herself. She contracted a bacteria from one of her patients and the bacteria turned into a virus that destroyed her bit by bit until their was nothing left and the light faded from her eyes.

1983 - As adults, the twins didn't have relatives who were obligated to care for them, so they had to look out for each other. Thankfully they had their parents insurance money to live off of, but they knew that the money would run out soon. Mathias began making money by selling his crafts, as he was always good at carving toys and other objects. Natalie however struggled to get a job, as she'd always been shy. She did however want to go to college and Mathias worked even harder so that she could go to the one of her choosing and not community college.

1988 - Five years later and Mathias is running his own antique shop that he inherited from the old owner who passed away one year prior. Natalie just returned from college with a degree in law and much to Mathias' ire a boyfriend. Mathias always imagined that it would be the twins against the world, and now Bryant was muscling his way in and Mathias was not happy. Technically, Bryant was a good guy but he was a business major and always had something to say about how Mathias was running things and Natalie always supported whatever her boyfriend said and got upset when Mathias got upset. If it had been anyone else, Mathias would have kicked them out but he knew that if he gave Bryant the boot, Natalie would leave as well and he didn't want his sister to go.

1992 - So as it turns out, Bryant had serious connections and managed to get Natalie a job as the assistant DA for their city. He also tried to get Mathias 'the hookup' but Mathias stubbornly refused his 'aid'. This cause a huge fight between him and Natalie and resulted in Natalie and Bryant moving away. Mathias was consumed with anger and sadness but his pride forbade him from breaking the cold war between the twins. So Mathias threw himself into his work and began perfecting his craft skills. He was especially good at making dolls and soon turned his antique shop to half a doll shop. His dolls were bought by children and collectors alike and he made quite a bit of money. So much in fact, that he could have moved out of the apartment above the store, but since he'd only ever considered moving into a house to please Natalie, he remained where he was.
One night, while he was closing up, two masked men entered the store and demanded that he empty the register. No amount of smooth talking could deter them from their goal and just when the lead thug was about to bash Mathias' head in for non cooperating, a wondrous and terrifying thing happened. Mathias raised an arm to shield himself, and suddenly the thugs began to write and shrink. The shop owner's hands were glowing, as were the thugs who were now the size of dolls. No. They were dolls. Mathias was awed by what had just happened and after reaffirming that it was only he and the thugs who were in the shop, he realized that he had done that. He'd heard of heroes and villains before but he never thought that he was one of them. Then again...He wasn't quite sure that he wanted to be in the former group because of what he planned to do.

2000 - After discovering his power, Mathias honed his skills and often tested his powers on homeless people or other citizens that no one would miss. He turned them into dolls and he sold them in his store--or sometimes he kept unique ones for his personal collection. It didn't take him long to realize that he could possess these dolls and wreak havoc in the homes that his sold dolls resided in.
After years of honing his powers, he was finally able to enact his plan. He contacted Natalie and asked to meet with her under the pretense of apologizing, she readily agreed and told him that she had to tell him something too. When he arrived he found that Natalie and Bryant had married and were living happily as a sort of power couple. But not for long. As soon as the door closed behind him, Mathias turned his power on Bryant and made quick work of the glass doll by tossing him against the wall. Natalie screamed and rushed at Mathias in a blind fury, but Mathias stopped her in her tracks when he turned her into a doll as well. He was about to leave when he heard whimpering from the hall closet and he opened it to find two twin girls, eyes wide with fear. Mathias' heart twisted for a moment before he turned them into dolls and placed them next to their dollified mother in his briefcase, before leaving.
Using some funds he had in his saving, Mathias bought a condominium under an alias and hired a nanny to care for the his nieces who he returned to human form. Maybe it was because they were so young, or maybe it was because they reminded him of when he and Natalie were children, but Mathias chose to care for the children instead of keeping them as dolls.

2005 - Mathias now runs his antique/doll shop with success, while parenting his nieces from afar, mentoring his familiar, and being a damn good villain.

Some would call her naïve, but she sees nothing wrong with the way she views the world. She doesn't often lose her temper, but cannot help it when she sees someone being mistreated.

Inner Personality – Inside, Charlie has a bit more anxiety than she lets on. It isn't social anxiety, but anxiety over her work. As a healer, she takes responsibility for every injury her teammates sustain. She worries constantly about her team and whether she is being a burden or not on them, as she doesn't usually fight.

Healing: This ability allows Charlie to heal wounds, broken bones, and can lessen the effects of poisoning. This manifests itself in a glowing golden beam that stretches from Charlie's right hand to the person being healed. Her own body heals its own wounds as well.


Power Enhancement: This ability allows Charlie to enhance the power of whoever she is directing beam to and make their powers more potent. This has a much shorter range compared to the healing beam, causing her to have to be much closer to whoever she is casting it on.


Power Limitations

Healing: With every injury healed, Charlie takes a portion of that injury. With minor injuries it doesn't matter as much, but it does make it difficult to heal major injuries. A completely broken bone would result in a fracture for Charlie. As her body heals itself faster than a normal human's, it is only a minor issue. She cannot cast this while casting power enhancement.


Power Enhancement Spell: Using this power for a long duration of time can make her healing much less effective. Enhancing someone else's power drains her own power a fragment at a time. She can only target one person, and cannot cast healing while casting this.

History
Backstory – When Charlie was seven, she fell off of a pier and into the lake below. Hitting her head on the fall down, she was dazed and unable to swim as she fell deeper and deeper into the water. All she remembers is being unable to breathe and dizzily trying, and failing, to reach the surface. After that, she woke up in a hospital with burning lungs and her father working diligently over her. Her father, a scientist providing technology for a few minor superheroes, had interjected an experimental formula into his daughter in hopes of saving her life. It worked, but also gave her the powers of healing and power enhancement. She tried to simply keep living a normal life, but when her father died when she was seventeen, she vowed to continue his work to help those in need, becoming a superhero in the process.

HISTORY

Backstory - Juniper was only with her parents for thirteen years.
Before that she was a lively girl who always had a smile plastered on her face and found some way to make the people around her adopt the same expression. Juniper was the type of girl who engaged in all sorts of activities ranging from sports to theater. She liked to dabble in everything she could manage and even if she found she wasn't good at something, she tried her best to at least become proficient. She had a great relationship with her parents who were both college professors. She never had any other siblings but she found companionship in her many cousins during family reunions and vacations.

When she turned thirteen, her powers manifested and at first everything was fine. She was a little freaked out at first and so were her parents but when they saw that she didn't have any world ending powers, they were able to calm down. However when night time came that after the first day, something terrible happened. Juniper began to fade away right at the dinner table and soon she was just a cloud of whimpering stardust. Unable to control her powers or resist the call to the cosmos, Juniper began to drift towards the sky, screaming for her parents who couldn't do anything but cry as their daughter floated away. Suddenly a gust of wind blew Juniper off course, and for what seemed like hours, she was tossed from current to current like a rag doll. And although she didn't think so then, those currents of wind saved her from being absorbed into the atmosphere, because as soon as the winds settled, Juniper found herself bumping into a woman who would become her mentor for a short time.

The woman's name was Juliette Kincaid, and she had maybe one of the most unique and boring powers of all--Negation. She'd been dosing in front of her open bedroom window when suddenly, a cloud of dust streamed in and when just a small particle touched her, she suddenly found herself staring down at a sobbing teenager. When she was finally able to calm her down and hear her story, she was at a loss of what to do. From her accent and from the story, it seemed as though the girl came from the Caribbean, and though she wanted to help her, she didn't have enough money to put her on a plane from Canada to Jamaica. Plus, who was to say this wouldn't happen again? So Juliette did the next best thing--She took Juniper under her wing and began training her to ground herself when night time came.

Fast forward three years, and Juniper was alone again--Juliette had disappeared five months prior and no matter how hard Juniper looked, she couldn't find her dear mentor and surrogate mother. She'd taken Juliette's last name and was--for the most part, a well adjusted sixteen year old. Save for the fact that she only had a middle school education and didn't feel a need to continue her formal education. She was an observer and she learned by watching people--and helping them. Yes, at just sixteen, Juniper had taken on the alias of Nomad, and was using her powers to aid people deal with the injustice in the world. During this crusade, Juniper had gone to see if she could reunite with her parents only to find that they had moved on and had two beautifully normal children. They hadn't forgotten her though and welcomed her with open arms, but Juniper declined their offer because she didn't want to disrupt their lives again.

So it's 2005 and Juniper now serves the public as a vigilante going by the name of Nomad.

Outer Personality: A consummate, cordial professional. Powers:
The Midas Touch: Galahad is capable of item augmentation, refining and enhancing the qualities of objects - including weapons and armor - above and beyond the nature of their creation. The enhancements are linear, and simple in nature - generally speaking, it simply means that weapons hit harder, cut sharper, or that clothing can be made to withstand large amounts of trauma, be it missiles or vehicular impact.

When it comes to enhancing functions other than what can be boiled down to 'hardness' or 'sharpness', Galahad is less skilled, although is adept enough at improving an object's primary function, providing that function is something that can scale linearly: making a car drive faster, for instance (speed).

Enhanced items are notable for the way they tinge with an obvious bronzen hue, hardening over almost like metal.

Enhanced Physicality: Theorized to be a side effect of his first power, Galahad has - despite his unusual build for it - near peak-human levels of strength, speed and stamina. Although each of these qualities do not cross into the realm of 'superhuman', the nature of their bestowment qualifies as such.

Power Limitations:
  • Things hardened, and enhanced, eventually wear out and break. Items with a larger surface area - clothing, armor - seem to have extended durability in this regard, although weapons and machines (namely, the core bits within) tend to go rather fast.
  • His body is unused to some of the aspects of his enhanced physicality, namely the heightened speed and agility when married with his body type. Galahad is almost entirely forced to forego making use of that aspect, lest he be left bedridden for a week afterwards.

Weapons: Galahad's primary weapon are police-issue batons, of which he carries a multitude of. He also brings a riot shield into combat, which he typically enjoys enhancing.

Costume: Galahad wears riot-squad style gear, combat uniforms, kevlar-laced, with visored-helmet. When his enhancement power is used, the gear glows and hardens over like bronze, akin to a suit of armor.


Relations

Family - Jaina Shelby Drinkwater (Mother), Daniel Richard Drinkwater (Father), Morgan Shelby Drinkwater (Sister). Loving mother and father, although Arthur has distanced himself from them in his busy adulthood. Morgan is the antithesis of Arthur, a wild-partier who craves the thrill of chaos.

Friends - Not so much. His sister Morgan is just about his only true friend, and her penchant for loud noises and causing a ruckus leads him to avoid even her whenever possible.

Enemies - For the most part, to be decided through roleplay? As of yet, Arthur keeps it impersonal - although he noticeably goes out of his way to target villains whose modus operandi involve chaos and carnage. The more professional, subtle sort normally lie outside his radar.

Rival - to be decided through roleplay. Has a supreme disdain for loud showoffs, far as heroes go.

Significant Other - not a chance.


History

Backstory: Arthur Drinkwater had always thought too much, even as a child. Coming from a well-adjusted family, his worst enemy had always been himself - his thoughts, his plaguing insecurities. As he grew older, he found these thoughts growing more and more intrusive, a singular voice in his ear telling him to 'fix everything'. His powers manifested at a similar age, a fact that Arthur refuses to believe is coincidence - rather, a tool given for him to make things better, and a tool to justify his own actions.

He has left his family, and what few friends he had, to abide by the voice in his head. He'll fix things, by force or otherwise.

Addie was raised in a simple surburban home with two parents that truly loved and adored her and set the finest example they could for Caito and Addi. Their mother Kristen was a teacher dedicated to ensuring that each child that came into her classroom left with true happiness in their heart and their father himself was a firefighter to their local town and often would be found pushing himself to volunteer and aid more in the community. Caito and Addi never knew a life in which they weren't happy until one fateful night would change the outlook of the world and how they would move forward in their growth. Kristen and Oliver had been out for their weekend date , as they were turning down the bend that led towards their neighborhood a large 2500 came swirving down the road as the lights flashed and both cars crashed in a thundering roar as that secured the fate of Addi and Caito to the paths of life each would take.

Addie remained the strong one in their life as she took each step in life as one where she was determined to better herself in life and Caito chose the path in which anger overuled his life and quickly drove him away from the path of light. Addie blossomed into a loving woman and in time she discovered the ability that countered her own personality with a darker nature to it as she found that the chaos in her ability was one that could be placed to better or destroy that of the world. Caito himself reveled in his newfound ability and by the age of sixteen he had decided to run away and make his way in the world himself and to seek the kind of revenge he wished for himself. Addi pushed forward in her life with her abilities being someting she chose take and tailor into an ability in which she could aid the world and do precisely what her family would wish of her. She pursued her love of music and sound found herself majoring in Classical Music where she was dedicated to it whilst being the hero known to society as , " Sorceress." Little into her first year , she would meet Michael as he stumbled upon her playing a piece from Mozart in which he found himself captured by the beauty of the song and the woman who played.

She herself found light in him and in that alone she found the true want to know him for all that he was. Years would come to pass of fighting at one another's side when they chose to make their vows to one another in marriage and soon after had their precious daughter , Harper.

Life was truly happy with all that had been found and placed in each other's life. Yet , all good things must find their end and in the darkest of times they will crash and burn without hesitation. Darkness had already begun to seed its way into her soul...It was their daughter's seventh birthday and she had been on her way home when a large explosion sounded in the city as her gaze flashed out her window to behold the sight of a single building beginning to crash to rubble. She let her car swirve into a park as she quickly dashed out and ran heavily towards the building as she stood tall and let her hands usher forth infront of her as crimson poured forth from her hand began to cease the rubble. Slowly and surely , the building began to rebuild itself as her eyes brimmed a bright red only to feel the heavy impact of an explosion be thrown into her as she flew backwards. Her body angled as she slid on her knees to meet the gaze of a greatly sized brute as her dared to make another explosion as her hand lifted to meet his as the explosion radiated in a growing bubble before it released and shattered in a powerful gust to the small part of the city as buildings collapsed into rubble. There she laid among the rubble as blood stained crimson against her clothes whilst her breath fell ragged and her own gaze became blurried as a set of boots stopped before her as the Cajun accent of her brother rang in a sinister taunt." I warned you , you were always meant for bigger things and I will make sure your molded into just the right solider..." Her hand reached shakily out to him before he stopped her from touching him as his foot connected and knocked her out immediately.

Caito took this chance to implant a chip to that of her nerval system to ensure that if she dared to stray from the path he was placing her on that he could change her. He tainted her memories and left her to believe that the destruction that happened in the city to leave her to believe that Harper had been killed and Michael had vanished in the frenzy of the battles. She was tailored to become the finest killer and in time she succumbed to the beliefs of the lies that were fed into her mind and the darkness itself that dwelled in her soul drove her to become what she was and to revel in the power of her darkness.

Powers -
Viral Replication: Through the constant replication of his own cells he is able to not only control his body's functions to an absolute but also gained a peak human level of physical endurance. The template for his genetic code continues with each Virus. Their constant replication keeps him at this level of physical fitness without levels of exercise required. This also comes into play with his own body during injury. The rapid speed at which his cells go through Mitosis lends him an increased healing factor. Able to recover limbs and even mend deep wounds.

Black and highly sticky blood covers the wound and begins to stitch itself up in a rapid and overlapping pattern bringing his body back to its fully functional form.

Biological Amalgamation: "You best start believin in ghost stories Ms Turner. You are in one!"
It is the ability to changes one physical form and shift to another. This itself comes in many forms all of which are only directed at one's self.
(Below is the actual explanation)
With his body host to innumerable biological entities it is through his command of them that he is able to shift his body. Tearing flesh and jutting bone are only a few examples of him changing his form. Arms elongating, bone expanding and sharpening into a blade. Jaw expanding or chest ripping open to reveal a mouth are only some examples of this.

Viral Adaptation: Due to the nature of his body he is ever changing. While his physical form is locked in stone he still goes through evolutions depending on what occurs to him. This may take the form of a tougher skin or perhaps a stronger density of bone in an area known to be weak. These adaptations will be slow to come and will require additional input to those specific areas in order for a beneficial adaptation to occur.

Power Limitations -
Energy- Massive replication and the passive process his body goes through on a daily basis drains Alex of a massive amount of his normal strength. In doing so it has made Alex need to consume objects, materials or even other creatures/animals as a way of keeping his body stocked and not lacking in food reserves.

Self Augmenting - All of Alex's powers are focused inward instead of outward. The changing of himself is all he is capable of. Changing those outside of his own body is impossible.

Elemental Weakness - While able to adapt to different environments it is not instantaneous. If suddenly encountering heavy flame Alex will be totally overtaken and suffer horrible injuries. But, if knowing a fight is approaching, he can augment his body to be more resistant against Fire.. Ex-Bursting his skin and having the blood form a hard outer carapace.

HISTORY

Backstory -​

Third world countries and civil war. Two of the things that he hated to hear together in a sentence. Serving in a South African country driven to near insanity through years of Civil War he decided to station himself at the front line of the conflict in a hope of studying the effects of the war on the population. In line with past observations the moment sanitation and freshwater fell through the roof the people began to take on different diseases and became highly susceptible to viral infections whether Airborne, water or through simple human to human contact. Sadly, he had chosen to side himself with the Nationalistic and Autocratic side of the civil war. Soon, the people were tired of their living conditions and they rose up.

The day it all began was the day the rebels broke into the city. Everything fell fast and it was like a torrent of death had spiraled through the streets and fixated itself on revenge... or simply sport. Lights within his secluded laboratory began to flash signalling a containment breach. Turning around he saw the body of someone whom he thought had passed suddenly begin to convulse. Biting his lip he casually made his exit patting his colleagues on the shoulder. By the time he was near the exit the noise of fighting or... more or less horrible death echoed through the hallways. Turning around he looked directly at a creature stumbling down the hallway at him.

The two seemed fixated on each other before Alex moved his head to the side. The person did the same time and mimicked his movements. Raising an arm it did the same thing and he began to smirk. Little did he know another of their subjects was beginning to free itself behind him. Figuring it was best to get out of dodge he turned around and almost ran face first into a man with his chest ripped open. Staring into the maw of teeth and bone Alexei slipped to his side and around the person as they tried to grab him. Eyes going wide he broke into a sprint and began to run towards the exit only to find himself nearly cornered by the unknown individuals. The bodies he recognized but their physical attributes were distorted, looked charred and burned.

His exit blocked and with many of the bodies they had been studying rising up changing he found himself confined and his claustrophobia began to rise up. Ducking through the hallways he nearly ran straight into one of the rebels. Reaching the containment room for their achieved Strains he ran his fingerprint and was inside just as one of the individuals slammed itself against the door. Kicking it several times he managed to get it away but had successfully trapped himself within what was now a re-enforced tomb.

Temperature low and his body reeling from the cold and through the inability to find food within the tomb he had simply kept himself busy by continuing his studies despite the situation he was in. Casually glancing out to the people still beating on the windows he finally seemed to snap. If they were going to kill him he was going to bring them all down with him. Driven by not only desperation but an odd sense of everything coming full circle he began to delve into the diseases and virus strains he had catalogued and took out all of them at once. Taking out three syringes he began to play mix and match with the virus and disease vials. Injecting them one by one into himself he exhaled a deep breath and began to laugh. The scientist who had dedicated his life to studying and curing diseases had allowed himself to succumb to them by choice.

Three hours past and the incubation period sped up through their mix matched properties began to wrack him. Collapsing onto the floor he cried out in pain as his body began to change, skin becoming darker and turning almost into a calcified material his hands elongated and his jaw seemed to stretch. Groaning he felt himself dying but his life did not fully leave him. The changes continued to force him into convulsions but ceased suddenly three days later. Eyes staring out and his mind seemingly shattered through the constant torture he had in his view, passed the test of death.... or undeath. Twitching he rose to his feet and looked at his hands. They looked normal... but soon they began to change as he remembered their appearance days earlier.

Instead of pain, he felt only pressure and it eased itself into non-existence within seconds. Hands elongating and changing he recognized the properties of the black protrusions as almost bone like in quality. It was on this day that he found himself in his re-birth. No longer a man of morality... he found that in the insanity of the moment he became his own greatest work. Body internally writhing he looked down at his hands once more and slid them along a stainless steel lab bench and watched it cleave a decent sized gash within it. Laughing he looked at the door and didn't hesitate at all. Slicing apart the door he made his way towards the exit taking the rebel's raiding the facility with him. Clearing out the facility was simply his first task.... He did not understand nor did he fully comprehend what had occurred... but he would. In time all secrets could be uncovered with perseverance and patience. So begins the long game.

Outer Personality || Caito has always been a man to hold his ideals and beliefs above anyone else's due to the belief that he can only depend on himself and find no flaw in his work. He has always been one to be bold when taking action and doesn't fear the reprucussions to doing so as long as he gets his way and his task is done properly. He is loyal unlike any other to Viper itself and the base it stands on and is willing to go whatever distance he must to ensure that the group thrives and finds victory in all that they do. Ontop of that all , he is extremely manipulative and has found in his abilities mind link that allows him further penatration to the minds of his victims and a way to tear them down bit by bit.. To make them fall. His darkened nature is one shrouded with pain and perhaps even a twinge of loneliness held within his soul and left his soul to be one darkened. Kinetic Energy Manipulation: User can create, shape and manipulate kinetic energy, the energy possessed by any moving object, ie. the necessary work in order for an object with a given mass to move from its resting position. The kinetic energy gained during the acceleration process changes once the speed also changes, and when the object no longer contains the kinetic energy it has possessed as it accelerates it stops from moving. The work needed to make an object to stop accelerating is equivalent to the kinetic energy that it possesses during the initial stage.

User can transfer kinetic energy from one object to another, thus strengthening their attacks, or tearing holes in walls with a simple touch, turn an object's potential energy into kinetic energy, making it explosive, or cause target to be unable to move or unable to stop if in motion.

Mind Reading: The user can sense the thoughts of other people, usually hearing them like ordinary speech, but possibly by other senses such as sight. Usually, they sense the surface thoughts (including other mental communications), but they can also learn to push farther into subconscious and memories.

Enhanced Strength: Users have incredible ability to defy weight limitations of the member of their race, but not completely break them. Dense, lengthy, or overweight items are easy to move and simple to use in nearly any manner. Users can crush, lift, throw, or catch items of great weight.

Power Limitations ||

Caito and Addi never knew a life in which they weren't happy until one fateful night would change the outlook of the world and how they would move forward in their growth. Kristen and Oliver had been out for their weekend date , as they were turning down the bend that led towards their neighborhood a large 2500 came swirving down the road as the lights flashed and both cars crashed in a thundering roar as that secured the fate of Addi and Caito to the paths of life each would take.

Caito carried on with life and kept often to himself or to the select few that could fit in with him. His grades never failed and yet , his image in school had never been seen as a pleasent one and not much could be done to the bad boy with the top grades in school. He would carry onto fighting outside school and often leaving most bloodied and broken in his trail. Graduation soon came and left and he was out on his own facing the world. He would encounter a man named Michael one night at the bar as he crossed to the counter with a bloodied mouth and eyed him as he spoke." Keep looking at me like that and I'll give you a matching mouth , Pal." He mumbled as he downed his glass of Whiskey as the man himself remained calm and spoke with a chuckle." Well , I can't say I would favor that look.. But , you can try to land a hit if you want." He said as Caito met his gaze with his darkened look and found this man to be steadfast in his choice as Caito mumbled out his name and poured the man a drink.. The rest was history as they became quick friends and found Michael falling in love with his sister.

He found himself struggling further in the years to come with his own darkness and venom that stirred within as he began to push all away from him. He soon found himself aligned with that of Viper and a dedicated member who found utter joy and satisfaction in creating chaos and leaving all in his path in a hole of despair and grief.. He reveled in it. Yet , he felt incomplete without his sister and found anger in her happiness and so he took matters into his own hand as Viper led an attack on the city and he and his underling , Chrono made it a point to stop Sorceress in her tracks.

There she laid among the rubble as blood stained crimson against her clothes whilst her breath fell ragged and her own gaze became blurried as a set of boots stopped before her as the Cajun accent of her brother rang in a sinister taunt." I warned you , you were always meant for bigger things and I will make sure your molded into just the right solider..." Her hand reached shakily out to him before he stopped her from touching him as his foot connected and knocked her out immediately.

Caito took this chance to implant a chip to that of her nerval system to ensure that if she dared to stray from the path he was placing her on that he could change her. He tainted her memories and left her to believe that the destruction that happened in the city to leave her to believe that Harper had been killed and Michael had vanished in the frenzy of the battles. She was tailored to become the finest killer and in time she succumbed to the beliefs of the lies that were fed into her mind and the darkness itself that dwelled in her soul drove her to become what she was and to revel in the power of her darkness alongside Caito in the power and death that surrounded them both in life. He wanted more and more.. But , was this truly what his soul sought in the bloodlust?

Shunned in her youth for her abilities, Molly comes across as a bitter and sarcastic woman, no longer able to see the good in people. Strengths
Molly is a capable hand to hand fighter, having trained among the first generation of heroes. Alongside her abilities, she has extensive medical training that can help injured allies as well as helping her deal more damage to her opponents. Her abilities grant her enhanced strength, endurance and speed in a fight. She can use her abilities to change her appearance if things don't go her way. The whole being able to come back from the dead thing comes in handy too at times.

Weaknesses
Molly has something of a burgeoning issue with alcohol, which affects her judgement and slows the rate at which she can use her abilities. Most of her abilities require concentration and so Molly is not the best multi-tasker. She is also stubborn and at times can be hot headed, making her easy to provoke. She is immune to many poisons and toxins, but not all, and a specialist would easily be able to find a way around her natural defenses.

Human Biological Manipulation & Perception

Molly has the ability to manipulate human biology and virtually all its processes. She specializes in using her ability to manipulate her own body, but can manipulate that of others to a certain small extent via physical contact. She is almost completely immune to aging, highly resistant to illness, recovers quickly from physical injury but perhaps most impressively, her abilities can resurrect her from the dead after suffering a fatal injury. She can make herself faster, stronger or more durable by enhancing aspects of her body, and can even harden her teeth and nails to fight with in a pinch.

Another aspect of her ability allows her to perceive certain biological information from a person by being physically close to them. This is usually just background noise to Molly, information such as heart rate and blood type, but also if an individual carries the super human gene. She can detect the abilities of super humans who rely on changes to their biology to use their abilities - however this can be a little vague and requires Molly to focus, ideally in physical contact with her target.

Power Limitations -
Suffocation/oxygen deprivation, brain injury, decapitation, certain poisons in high enough doses and prolonged crush injury will kill her for good, and it will take her longer to regenerate after suffering similar types of injury. In many cases she needs to know how a certain poison acts in order to counteract it - alcohol is easy enough for her break down, but an obscure snake venom on the other hand proves a harder challenge. She can't create bone swords or blood arrows - her abilities appear to be strictly limited to what a human can have naturally present in their anatomy and this includes any enhancements to her own biology. She can be no faster or stronger than she would be at her peak physical condition. If she wants to appear to gain weight/muscle mass she must consume enough calories to do so before hand and must continue to do so in order to maintain it. To use her abilities on another, she must remain in physical contact, and concentrate - there's a lot of data she needs to sift through after all.
Her temporary 'death' can be made permanent by any of the above methods while she's out.


Her perception is not perfect, and while she can get an idea of a person's honesty, it is not a guarantee. A nervous person telling the truth will have a high heart rate, while an experienced villain will barely flinch. She cannot detect the ability of anyone who doesn't rely on their biology, e.g element manipulation, psychic abilities, and unless she has physical contact and is actively looking to find out, or the biology is extremely unusual, she struggles to pinpoint abilities.

For now, whatever comes to hand. A can of mace, her house keys and whatever spiked accessories she's wearing today usually.

Backstory -
Molly wanted to be a doctor from a very, very young age. Growing up, she showed that she had the smarts and the aptitude for the profession, and sure enough, at 17 she was accepted to study medicine. While many people suspected that Molly might be a 'gifted' there was no verifiable proof that she was - and if it was simply to have a gut instinct about what was wrong with someone, what harm was it? She herself was aware that her powers ran deeper than that, having known she could change her body throughout most of her teenage years. She took up vigilantism as an odd form of stress relief on the side, falling in with the heroes of the mid-90s. Learning to save lives during the day, and protecting them at night... Molly fell in love with her new life and set her heart on joining the big league supers.

Disaster struck in '97, when in costume, Molly was caught off guard. Stabbed over a dozen times while she tried to help her own parents, she was declared DOA. The poor intern who was awoken by her screaming in a mortuary fridge has still not fully recovered. The aftermath of the incident and the report of her 'dangerous' and 'unnatural' abilities resulted in her being removed from her course, most heroes distancing themselves from her, two parents to bury and a sister that blamed Molly for failing to protect their parents. She fell into a deep depression, from which she never really resurfaced. She has trained as a paramedic, but is currently unemployed.

Humano Mechanica:
Born of science and biological reconditioning the boy known as Alexei Nikolaevic is not what he seems. Able to change his bodily shape and consume electronics to add to his own body has allowed him to fuse with computer systems, merge modern weapons with his body and even hijack a soviet satellite upon his release. While being able to absorb modern technology into his system he is unable to merge with anything lacking modern equipment such as antique cannon and musket weaponry. Even the machine guns and rifles of his time elude the man.

Bullet Sponge:
Able to absorb any incoming projectile into his body the man is able to convert the metallic nature to any form of ammunition that he sees fit. If he is wielding a shotgun as an arm, he is able to fire the rounds being shot into him back out of his arm and into the enemy essentially using the very means of his death against those that had condemned him.

Variable Size:
Being able to merge with non-biological technology ranging from cars to rockets he has made himself able to shift his size depending on the matter that he takes into himself. While this size does increase his durability his strength seems limited to the level of Pneumatic strength and torque of that which he consumes. Example-Absorbing a tank could cause problems (Both ranged and strength wise.) while a rocket would only grant him speed. Absorbing a Gun would not grant him increased strength but ranged attacks.

Power Limitations -
Curse of Existence
Immune to the freezing temperatures of the Soviet Siberian wasteland Alexei has found himself able to keep himself at a stable temperature despite the conditions he was awoken to find. Unable to find sustenance in normal food he has found himself constantly starving and unable to sate his normal hunger. Only feeling at terms with himself in the cold subzero temperatures of the arctic his need for sustenance is the only thing that drives him into the world.

Blunt Force Trauma:
While appearing immune to most forms of damage one thing has been shown to cause irrefutable damage to the man. Blunt force has been shown to eject mass from the man causing not only a decrease in combat effectiveness but a real sign of pain.

Dispassionate:
Due to the brain washing techniques of his Soviet handlers the man seems almost void of emotion with the exception of fear and Anger. Having seen the need to instill fear into the man retains the need to preserve ones self rather than needlessly self destruct when encountered with a large threat.

Biological Discharge:
Everything has its limits and Alexei is no exception to this. While able to absorb vehicles of immense sizes he is incapable of maintaining the energy to contain the huge acclimation of mass. The larger the mass he absorbs the less time he is able to manage it effectively. When reaching a critical mass point his body will begin to eject the mass in various manners even leading to a massive discharge of materials that can not only injure himself if not done through controlled means but also cause large area damage.

Even the T-1000 Burns:
Susceptible to heat and acid Alexei had found this out the hard way when almost being consumed in a vat of molten iron. Learning this drawback the hard way has lead to the man to avoid high heats with a phobia mindset.

Backstory -


Born into an age of technological and political revolution in Russia, Alexei is the legitimate son of the last Tsar and true heir to the throne of Russia. Born with Hemophilia his mother's reliance and belief in her faith had led to far more than she could have ever bargained for when it comes to not only her son but the future of her country and empire. Being surrendered to the will of Grigori Rasputin the young boy was indeed treated of his disease but was also changed internally to reflect the true nature of the 'healer'.

Through use of 'spiritual' healing and alchemy devised and created through means which were lost to time the young boy had become something more akin to the peak of human existence. Strong, intelligent and above all... Loyal to a fault. All had come to what the spiritual leader had hoped. But, what the man could not have expected was the people to rise against the rule of the Tsars. The november revolution had come and gone. The man that Alexei had learned to listen to had been killed... it had taken time sparking further rumors against the family and causing their eventual downfall.

Death! It had come for the Dynasty but was unable to claim Alexei's life as it had his families. Hoisted up as a figure of damnation by the people his existence was cast from the books and listed off as simply having been killed. Taken, the boy was imprisoned in the soviet string of work camps in Siberia. It was here that he was reprogrammed... through concentrated teachings and the constant shattering of his mind the boy that once was... was no longer in existence. Reforged... brought anew by the light of the great Soviet Union it was in this string of camps that his being was brought up and crafted into that which no even the great Premiers had knowledge of. In time... the knowledge of his even existence was lost to those outside of the camps... forgotten.. a figment of the past.

Left at the dissolution of the Soviet Union the scientists that had once overseen him had left leaving the man frozen in ice to unfreeze. Taking nearly ten years due to the already frigid temperatures of the Siberian arctic circle the man broke free. No alarms were sounded... no warning was flashed and no signal or what had occurred was released. The destroyed and frozen base the man awoke to seemed like a throwback to when he was frozen nearly seventy years earlier. Equipment was strewn about the room and it was within these walls that he began to take into account that which he was capable of.

Materials simply abandoned and forgotten during the flight of Soviet Scientists made for the perfect proving ground for the man. Staying contained within this facility for nearly ten years it was only until he had run out of materials to fuse with that he began to seek a way to escape his steel sarcophagus. Upon release he had found that the world had changed beyond mortal thought. Mind reeling from the sheer scale of progress he had not only found himself incapable of fitting in but that he had not aged. He was caught in his own hell... caused by the woman he had once called his mother.​

HISTORY


Backstory –

Alder Forester is a tender soul. He began his life surrounded by creation; his parents had a vast farmstead filled with animals, crops and a strong work ethic. As a boy, Alder made it his personal mission to name every plant and animal to the best of his ability (sometimes making the names up). This juvenile sense of wonder has been a defining point of his personality, always wide-eyed and willing to take life head-on.

When Alder began going to school he started experiencing an indescribable ability to fit in. No matter where he went, and who he talked to, it seemed as if people were welcoming to him. Over time Alder learned that this sociability is not entirely due to his personality. As he progressed through his formative years he began studying biology, more specifically botany, upon completing his studies he found that he as the ability to manipulate pollen. With this ability, Alder was able to develop a deep connection and appreciation for the natural life around him and the lives of others.

In high school Alder came across the man who would become like a brother to him, Michael de Grey, this man first met Alder during the regional science fair. Alder was doing a project about soil types, and Michael had a project about aerodynamic design in airplanes. After connecting Michael become a close friend of Alder's eventually going to the same college, Michael for criminal justice and Alder for Medicine. During this time Alder played a very supportive role in Michael's life; he helped him study, meet his beautiful fiancé Adelaide gaining the confidence to talk to her, as well as work through some of the harder points in life eventually taking on the role of a godfather for his daughter.

After seeing his best friend nearly lose himself in turmoil Alder made a promise to himself to do everything in his power to never let another family suffer as they have.

- Impulsive; Carter seems to act without fear of consequence, jumping straight into the most dangerous of situations without any second thought. It's easy to dismiss his actions as just simply being stupid, but upon closer examination, one will realize that this not always the case.
- Talkative; The boy can chat someone's ear off; especially when he is nervous. Carter can talk about anything and everything, if given enough time. There is never an awkward silence with Carter.
- Snarky; The epitome of sass. Witty to a T, Carter is quick to spit rapid-fire insults and sarcastic responses. This has gotten him hit upside the head quite a few times.
- Self destructive; Carter doesn't really seem to have much of a care for the well being of himself - to put it simply, his self preservation skills absolutely suck. Carter has no problem drinking himself into a coma, or taking a pill from a stranger.
- Emotional; Carter is far too easily controlled by his emotions. He's quick to give into his emotions - whether it be anger, lust, or sadness. He can pout for days when he's sad, or stomp off in a fit of anger - he can be easily calmed by the right person, however.

- Sensitive; Due to his emotional behavior, it's not surprising that Carter is rather sensitive. Although, he tries to mask it.
- Intelligent; despite his impulsive behavior, Carter is, in fact, rather intelligent when he wants to be. He has a cold and calculating side, which he rarely ever shows - but Carter can be quite the surprise.
- Flirty; He's quick to fall - all it takes is the right smile and a good conversation, really. And when he falls, he falls hard - often stuck in a stupid crush for months on end. He's also painfully flirtatious, when anyone and everyone.
- Squeamish; Carter tries to be big and bad, but the boy is actually pretty squeamish, especially with gore.
- Attention seeking; In truth, Carter only acts the way he does for attention. Derived of it initially, Carter subconsciously craves attention, even negative attention.
- Manipulative; if in the right state of mind, he can wrap someone around his finger, with a calculating smile and the right words.
- Selfish; Carter was raised to walk backwards to avoid a knife in the back. Therefor, he often puts himself before others.
- Daydreamer; Carter can be seen with a blank stare, looking off in the distance - who knows what is running through that head of his.

Carter has always had a soft spot for animals, even before his abilities had begun to appear. He's always had a special connection with animals - and his hobby could be considered as volunteering at an animal shelter often (well, he used to.)

- Animal shifting; Carter can change his form to that of almost any animal, and he has developed more animal-like abilities over time, such as night vision, and heightened senses. His most used form would be that of an all black alley cat with green eyes.
- Mimicking; Although much harder, Carter can change himself into other people as well, or change his appearance in minor ways. (Such as changing eye color, or even his voice to sound like someone else's.) He can change into another person with super powers and mimic their (basic) abilities for a short time - but this can be quite dangerous.
- Body alterations; Painful but doable, Carter can essentially control and distort his own body. This can be anything from healing minor injuries such as a cut, or developing a pair of wings (very, very painful.) The larger the alternation, the more painful and draining it is.

- Carter cannot turn into any aquatic animals - he must be able to breath oxygen.
- In regards to shifting into people, Carter cannot turn into someone he has never seen before, or replicate a voice he has never heard. He must see and hear the person in order to turn into them.
- If he were to change into someone with abilities and use them, it would absolutely drain him, or even kill him, as the strain on his body would be too much.
- His emotions can control his abilities at times - often lashing out in animal form, or shrinking to a smaller, weaker animal when he feels vulnerable. It's hard to control - and painful at times, especially when changing to a larger animal unwillingly. If his shift was controlled by emotion rather than logic - it is hard to change him back, as his mind has been sort of disconnected from the body he is within. This can prove to be dangerous for those around him, too.
- If in one form for too long, Carter can get 'stuck' in that form, essentially loosing himself among the face he is pretending to be, disassociating from himself. This is more likely when his transformation wasn't intentional.
- He can involuntarily revert back to his true form if harmed too much, even mid battle.
- He has gained animal-like behavior due to his constant shifting, and this can be noticeable at time.

[ backstory. ]
Carter's childhood is a rather lonely one - raised in the slums by a single, hard-working mother, with a younger sister diagnosed with a terrible illness. Carter had never known his father, or had the desire to know his father. He saw his mother as both figures, a hard working, ambitious women who worked days and night to put food on the table.

Raised in a run down home on the outskirts of New York, Carter knew little of warmth and safety, and more of harsh reality of the world around him. His mother worked days as a waitress - and nights as a stripper, bringing in just enough income to keep Carter and Millie fed and clothed. It didn't help that, at age five, Millie was diagnosed with hemophilia, and Carter was her designated protector. With his mother gone, Carter took the role of big brother very seriously, as one wrong bump and Millie could very much be sent to the hospital, or even worse.

There would be many occasions in which their mother would not return home - perhaps too high or too drunk, the stress weighing her down. Carter never held it against his mother, instead, turning to petty thievery to supply he and his sister with food - and that petty thievery soon turned to robbery. At age sixteen, Carter began to blend with the wrong crowd, taking part in more illegal activities.

It was all just an accident - a robbery gone wrong - it wasn't even he who pulled the trigger. The man behind the counter tried to pull out a gun, and Carter's 'friend' had panicked, and pulled the trigger, shooting the poor gas station attendant in the head. The cops showed up moments after; in a blind flush of panic, Carter shifted, his first shift, into that of a wolf. All he could think about was Millie, what would happen to her if her brother went to jail, if she was alone - and he ripped the throat out of the cop. Disassociated, Carter lost control of his form, only shifting back when he had realized what he had done, what he had become.

He ran home and packed everything he could into a backpack, fearful that the cops would track him down, they had to of known it was him, fearful that if he changed again, Millie, or his mother, would be his victim. He left a note for his mother and Millie, saying that he was okay, that he needed to leave for a bit, that he would be back. Carter hustles for money now, mainly working at a car garage for money and living in a run down apartment in the not-so-pretty part of New York, sending cash back home for Millie and his mother, knowing that even the little bit helps. The only times he sees his family is when he shifts into that little black alley cat and sits in the window sill of his old living room, watching over Millie.
