The human race has been attempting to combat the forces of hell since the very fall of man in the Garden of Eden. In the early days the sides between good and evil were easily distinguishable. But now, the lines are blurred. Fair looks foul and foul looks fair. What we see is it the right choice or the wrong one? The truth or a lie? What feels right and what feels wrong isn't always what is seems to be. This is a struggle that Hailey, recently turned vampire, will be forced to face. Revenge? That's out of the question. Revenge will be sought after. But which road will she take? The easy choice isn't always the right choice. If she joins the forces of hell, getting to her mark will be relatively easy. She will gain many allies, many friends, and even have the opportunity to excel up the rank. But what will it all cost her? Would she have to pledge her loyalty? Taking the high road is harder. Fewer friends, and fewer allies.
This is not the first, nor will it be the last time Victor tries to save a soul like Hailey from the destruction hell can bring. Hell's representatives are beautiful, alluring, seductive. Victor on the other hand, is straight forward, blunt, and while he has good looks, his sexuality is pushed aside as an afterthought. He considered himself married to his job. Victor knows too well the danger of mixing sexuality and work. But this new woman in his life is remarkably beautiful. She is filled with potential, and a passion. Will he be able to keep his selfish desires separate from his holy ones? This exorcist hasn't been in the presence of a friendly being in many years. He is used to solitude, although that doesn't mean he likes it. Finding a partner, potential companion could be something he has been looking for. But he must keep his guard up. He knows the other forces see what he sees in Hailey, and he is not going to be the only one who is after her allegiance. But in the end, it must be Hailey who chooses herself. No one can make the decision for her.
Suave, smooth, sexy, seductive, Aidan sees his interaction with Hailey as just another opportunity. With her trust and support, she could be added to his ranks. By using her desire for revenge, Aidan sets his nets for the pretty little vampire. He isn't lying when he says he can give her what she wants. But in return, he definitely expects something back, though, most likely he will deceive his way to gain her allegiance. Even a vampire can be tricked into selling their soul to the devil. And this is one handsome one.
