Physical Appearance:
Sarnai spends the vast majority of her time inside of her powered armor suit
(See equipment for description), when outside of it, she typically wears her tight black piloting suit designed to help reduce moisture build-up and keep the pilot comfortable well inside the suit for extended periods. If she is going to spend a significant amount of time outside of her suit, she will change into a ragged, dirty set of survival fatigues that have clearly gone through multiple tailorings and patch jobs. She has a number of visible plug points and minor cybernetic augmentations along her body in order to interface with her suit and provide minor personal upgrades.

Skills and proficiencies:
Cybernetic Augmentation (Perk):
The Shon-Vuu practice widespread augmentation of their bodies in order to work with the powered suits so common in their lives, and also to interface with a variety of machines used for agriculture, industry, and construction, as given their avian evolutionary roots, their bodies are frail as compared to other sentient species.
Technological Skill (Perk):
Within a few generations, the Shon-Vuu went from having recently discovered metal alloys and rudimentary gun powder to working with 3D printed nano-carbon chains and railguns, which required a rapid overhaul of their entire society down to the individual. The ones who made it to the other side of this tumultuous process came out with an incredible affinity for learning new skills related to technology, picking up techniques and ideas with a rapidity that often shocks or disturbs other species. This rapid insight into technology also leads them to have a great deal of skill jury rigging and hacking things together, finding the value in other's garbage.
Ether Manipulation (Perk):
Evolving on a world with a number of larger predator species meant that the Shon-Vuu developed a number of things in order to survive in the face of bigger, stronger, faster competition. Classic tactics like cooperation and sharing resources, clever traps and ambushes were supplemented by an ability to momentarily attract or repel ether through biochemical means, confusing the senses of the beasts that sought to devour them.
In the modern day, having been introduced to ether enhanced weaponry and armor, they have begun to work this natural talent into their technology, relying on it to momentarily enhance weaponry fire rates, hit harder, or bulk up built in shields. Some particularly talented members of the species use this to repel large quantities of ether outward creating a shockwave of force and destruction, but this often leaves both the individual and the technology they are in drained of power and vulnerable.
Guerrilla Warfare:
Sarnai has been both training to be and training others to be resistance fighters for several years now. Even compared to other Shon-Vuu, she is an expert in jury rigging and repairing damaged equipment, always making more out of less. She has also been trained in how to fight stronger, better equipped enemies with careful tactics and maneuver, and how to rally others to the cause of the people and the resistance.
Personality and Background:
Originally a member of the underclass on her home world, Sarnai-Zaya stole a military grade powered armor suit and escaped off-world, joining an active rebellion movement that had been welcomed in by the Assembly of Solar Republics. Fueled by anger and revolutionary zeal, she immediately volunteered to be a member of the strike forces that went back into enemy territory, working to undermine the grip the Pan Celestial League had on her home world and people.
Sarnai tries to maintain an equitable, reserved outer face, but when under heavy stress or pressure, she can have an explosive temper that won't be quieted until she vents all of it. She can be loyal to a fault, believing that those who help her deserve the same, whether that be individuals or the greater cause the ASR purports to champion, so she has stayed true to the ASR even in the face of the corruption and deception she has witnessed.
As a now veteran of the resistance movements, she helps develop underground cells of fighters and terrorists across a variety of worlds. Most recently Sarnai was sent to Caracosa in order to advance the cause of the ASR and the rebellion, however she saw fit.
Ethereology:
Enhanced Rifle Fire:
Sarnai has built a system into her suit that when fueled by her biochemical bursts of aether, can connect to either her railgun or assault rifle, increasing their round velocity and fire rate for short periods.
Active camouflage:
All Shon-Vuu powered armor suits contain a module capable of manipulating light; bending and shifting it around and past the armor to effectively make it invisible without enhanced optics. Sarnai has altered hers to use a rechargeable battery of her own design instead of PCL expendable energy packs. The battery slowly recharges itself thanks to both Sarnai's biochemical ether production and the ambient ether in the world, exchanging the ability to spend extended time periods camouflaged for never losing the ability to.
Strengths:
Adaptable:
Sarnai is able to keep fighting for months, even years with some luck, without military resupply because she is able to keep scavenging and reconfiguring equipment, to the point of making her own ammo on occasion.
Sharpshooter:
Sarnai knows that the best way to fight a more powerful opponent is to not fight them at all, just hit them where it will hurt and run before they can hit back.
Cybernetic augmentations:
Sarnai has the augmentations common to members of her species, helping her pilot her custom powered armor suit, making it an extension of her own body. She also has a few more practical augments, helping her survive on a more varied diet then she would normally be able to and more easily speak to and translate across species and languages.
Weaknesses:
Janky Equipment:
Sarnai's greatest strength is also her greatest weakness. Her adaptability and ability to keep herself and her equipment going regardless of situation also means that her gear is a mish-mash of patch work and repair jobs, always in need of a tune-up and care.
Physically Weak:
Even the burliest Shon-Vuu are seen as frail by many other species, and Sarnai is far from an example of peak physical fitness after years of living on half rations in small, resource starved resistance cells, relying on technology and skill to keep her alive
Temper:
Having grown up watching the preening, smug aristocrats of her home world continually step on and abuse the lower class she was born into, Sarnai has a number of issues with anger management, particularly if the subject appears to be acting "better than" her. This means that when pushed up against the wall literally or metaphorically, she is known to snap, lashing out in anger as opposed to trying to deescalate the situation.
Devoted:
Sarnai believes almost absolutely in both loyalty and "better the devil you know, then the devil you don't", so despite having seen that her comrades-in-arms and the ASR as a whole can be just as bad as the PCL and aristocrats she is fighting to overthrow, she has decided to stick by them. They gave her a hand up, and at the very least say they want to help the little people, which is better than the other side ever did.
Starting Weaponry, Armour, and Equipment:
Powered Armor Suit:
Standing at approximately 8'2", Sarnai's armor is a bulky, angular thing painted in the blocky green and grey camo of the Ger-Gui Irregulars.
The system is based mostly on borrowed and repurposed human technology, and as such it stands straight as opposed to hunched over as a Shon-Zuu would normally stand in order to fit the small fusion/ether mix reactor that powers it.
A stubby, armored torso made up of angled and sloped plates in order to better protect from anti-vehicle and anti-tank rounds protects the pilot, a pair of long bird like digitigrade legs providing rapid movement and a wide range of motion aided by a set of small jump jets primarily used to bound over obstacles and debris but capable of limited periods of flight if a majority of the reactor output is sent to the jump systems.
These are complemented by two thick arms covered in the same angular armor as the torso, ending in a set of precision manipulator fingers, with a sensor suite built along the "head" and shoulders providing standard optic enhancements in the form of optical zoom, tactical HUD, ether signature tracking, low-light amplification and thermal filtering.
The armor is a mix of carbon nanotubes and advanced metal alloys, with ether shielding emitters to provide protection against energy burst weapons and similar attacks such as EMP in order to maximize agility without sacrificing durability whenever possible.

Ranged Weapons:
'Stingray' Anti-Material Magnetic Acceleration Rifle:
A massive, 7'2" long, vehicle destroyer railgun that plugs into the power system of the suit and uses shaped discs of hyperdense, explosive material as ammunition. This weapon is completely unusable without the suit or a suitable replacement power supply. Stored along the back of the suit via magnetic strips.

Assault Rifle:
Customized rifle, 5'3" long, with single fire, two shot burst, and fully automatic modes. Capable of utilizing a variety of modular ammunition, plugs into the suit in order to directly interface with the HUD, sensor suites, and suit electronics. Stored along the left side of the suit via magnetic strips when not in use. Sarnai can not use this outside of the suit, because it is bigger than her.

Pistol:
Customized for Shon-Vuu use, 6.8" long. Uses the same ammunition as the assault rifle, capable of single shot or two shot burst. Usable outside of the suit, primarily used when the pilot is doing maintenance or repairs, or as a back-up in environments the rifle is ill suited to. Stored in a holster on the right leg.

Melee Weapons:
Disruptor-Spear:
9'6" long spear with a heavy wedge blade emitting a powerful disruptor field, designed to be used in combination with the jump systems for performing high speed charges or dropping onto the target in order to enhance it's already potent armor piercing capabilities. A collapsible shaft makes it more portable, and is stored along the back of the suit.
Combat Knife:
8" survival and combat knife, with an energy sheathe that can be toggled on for additional cutting power. Stored in a holster along the left leg of the suit.
Misc:
ASR Standard Fragmentation Grenades: An epitome of the ASR design philosophy of "No kill like overkill". Heavy duty explosives mixed with a disruptor field and a ultra dense metal casing in order to destroy almost anything that gets hit directly by it.
Pylon Electromagnetic Smoke Grenades: Spews a combination of traditional dense smoke designed to obscure an area from traditional optics while also hiding thermal signatures, and electromagnetically charged chaff in order to fool more sophisticated sensors.
Newton EMP Grenade: Releases a series of extremely powerful, shifting magnetic fields inducing random currents in any non-shielded electronics, severely damaging anything caught in it to the point of even potentially causing small fires.

Tool Kit: A variety of tools needed for the repair, maintenance of a Shon-Vuu powered armor suit, along with a small collection of important spare parts. Stored in a locked, armored compartment on the interior waist of the suit, behind the piloting sleeve.
