In a world without God, Angels, and Demons continue their programmed existence of rivalry, and war.
Each scramble to consume the most of a vast resource.
The mortal soul.

For the Heavenly, it was once witnessed when an angel questioned, and rebelled. The burning fall as wings were scorched from existence, and the shattering crash that corrupted the beauty, and mind of a foolish angel.
Lucifer had dared to ask why. He had simply wondered, and thought beyond his station.
This however, is simply the belief as it stands since that time.

For the Infernal, it was the idea of shattering bonds of inferiority. They cared little for their counterparts, and simply wished to be free. They nurtured the fallen angel, and mended his mind, body, and his shattered Grace.
They groomed their future King for the hopes that one day, they could break the walls of creation, and hold their fellows at eye level.

They would demand acknowledgement.
They wished to simply cease being ignored.

Throughout the years, Demons have remained true to their mission. To be known.
Pushed to commit atrocities, and evil unfit to be ignored.
Even the Infernal could pushed to an extreme for simply being ignored is the worst torture imaginable.

Unbeknownst to all, God's grand design still turns, and roars with life. Angels, and Demons simply being cogs in the machine as it churns to an ultimate goal.

A goal long since forgotten with time... or perhaps on purpose.

Plot:

The general idea of this story is that both the Angels, and Demons of the world are warring to collect souls. For the Angels, it is to completely annihilate the planes of Hell, and the Demons along with it. For the Demons they are hoping to destroy the barriers separating Heaven, Earth, and Hell so that they can meld with the rest of creation.

You all will be playing Angels with either the idea to eradicate Demons, or to find God. Your inital lead to either endevour is to track down a rogue Seraph named Isaiah. Who was known to be the last Scribe of God before the heavenly father departed.

Humans will also be allowed and brought into the story by supernatural means.

Angels will be immortal for all intents and purposes with great strength, speed, the ability to "fly" AKA teleport, however they will be vulnerable to incantations, sigils, weapons, and prayers directed directly to Christianity. (Much like Supernatural if anyone follows it. All of which will be introduced as the story progresses.)

Current Goal/Purpose: Avoiding capture while in exile.

Talents: Being the last Scribe of God and helping create languages that were never used by mortals, Isaiah can hide words in a language that is understandable by only himself. He also has the gift of empathy though it's much stronger than most Angels, making others feel his emotions, and feeling theirs.

Inabilities: Isaiah cannot pass up those that are in need for help. He also finds himself unable to deal with the idea that ultimately there is no grand design.

Fears: He fears that his brothers will ultimately destroy their father's creation under the assumption that mortals require monitoring, and guidance. He doesn't fear death, but he does fear that it will come from the hands of a fellow angel.​

Appearance

Current Purpose: To ensure that the Trisagion (the choral song of all Creation) is resonating properly along the rungs of the Cosmic ("Jacob's") Ladder.

Talents: Abdiel has the power of threshold transmutation - he can shift objects and creatures into the next incremental stage. Examples: Caterpillars to butterflies; fuel to fire; water to ice; stone to rubble, princes to kings; etc.

Inabilities: Uniquely attuned to the Trisagion, Abdiel will suffer a breakdown if chaos accumulates. The more that goes wrong around him, the more confusion he suffers. He needs to exist in a state of order and clarity to be effective.

Fears: That he is, and always has been, touched by Lucifer's corruption. Abdiel was the only angel in Lucifer's legion to desert his command during the initial war rally. The knowledge that he was "The Second Rebel", for better or worse, is a cause of philosophical angst.

Current Goal/Purpose: Find God

Talents: Lahad has the ability to inspire allies, tapping into the courage found within them. If Lahad is seen to be losing the upper hand in battle, those allied with him are intensely driven to protect and fight for him.

Inabilities: Once a battle is started, Lahad will not surrender until it is over or he is defeated. He cannot leave behind someone in need and he cannot abide by what he perceives to be injustices.

Fears: The idea that God has deserted them.

Name: Azrael.

Gender (when visiting Earth): Preferably male, though he will control any form to suit his purposes.

Race: Angel

Occupation (as he has no need for the education of humanity): Seraphim, Slayer of Demons and General of the Heavenly Host, second only to the Archangels themselves, though he has recently vacated his position in favor of personally hunting his demonic enemy (as he feels the actions being taken by his superiors are insufficient) and repossessing angels he believes are wasting their time in their search for the Heavenly Father. He hunts Isaiah himself for the sole purpose of obtaining the power of God to vanquish his foes.

Appearance: When possessing a human (preferably a host who he keeps personally locked away in an asylum for the purpose of taking whenever necessary), the eyes glow red, while other traits are retained. When possessing his preferred Vessel, he appears as an 18 year-old, with mid-length black hair, a black shirt and white tie, and green dress pants.

Angelic Form: In his true form, he is a hooded and armored man-like figure, with wings of blue energy, and no apparent legs.

Goal/Purpose: Originally, Azrael was designed as the Angel of Death, leading the Heavenly Host against the Demonic Hordes in the name of the Father and the Archangels. Now, he acts as a hunter of lost angels and roaming demons, butchering the latter, and repossessing the former. In his quest to annihilate demons, he realized that only the power of the creator himself could truly be effective. Thus, he searches for Isaiah, who was the last one close enough with the Lord to help Azrael's cause.
Talents: Azrael has proven himself time and again to be a superior swordsman to anyone except the Archangels Michael and Fallen Lucifer , surpassing even Raphael and Gabriel. He is quite proficient in his hobby and power of smiting with the holy light, from a distance and up close. He has also proven himself a leader, commanding the Heavenly Host during the periods when Michael feels no need to.

Inabilities: He, while immensely powerful, lacks the hierarchical power to change much in Heaven, and has thus struck out on his own, now lacking the support of his brethren. As well, he has not the power to destroy the ultimate evil: Lucifer. And so he quests for an ancient enough power that even the Fallen cannot withstand.

Fears: That all he has done in his eternity has been for naught, and that he has failed or will fail in his Heavenly duty to protect the sanctity of life. However, these were buried deep within him long ago.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

General Appearance: She has short, slightly curled but thoughtlessly trimmed hair and the greenest eyes you'll ever see. She has an anti-possession tattoo on the back of her neck; she doesn't fancy chest tattoos, and it's more subtle that way. She's tall, and well-built. Although her body has the touch of femininity, it is not at all "soft", toned for the hunt.

Strengths: She has fantastic intuition and knows how to survive on her own. She's clever and attractive, and she knows it. She knows how to harness her talents to benefit her.

Weaknesses: She's stubborn, and can easily get sidetracked. Alice has a weak spot when it comes to family- but they're all gone now, so it doesn't really matter. She doesn't care much for others, but when she grows fond of someone, she can become overprotective.


MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS

Current Goal/Purpose:
Vengence- and to kill as many damned bastards as possible- angels, demons, and anything inbetween.

Talents:
All the things girls are good at; lying, cheating, murder, deposing of bodies, demonic circles, etc.

Inabilities:
She can't bring herself to harm those she considers family. Also, she can't dance to save her life.

Fears:
Being all alone. Not getting to avenge her brother.


HISTORIC BACKGROUND

General History:
She grew up traveling. Her Father had been a hunter, just like his father before him, and so on. The Roe family name is what some would say ancient. Before she was born, her father had a son with a woman whose name he did not know. He had lived in a little apartment in the city then, and his life had been frivolous. He hunted whatever small things would pop up now and then in the general area while attending college. Her father hadn't been a responsible youth. Nine months after a one night stand, a baby appeared at his doorway and a note that only said his name. Carter Roe.
Two years later, he met another woman and settled down with her. Right after Alice was born, she died. Natural causes, the doctors said. However, when the autopsy came in, there were internal burns everywhere; like she had been burned alive from the inside.

Alice and Carter traveled with their father everywhere across the country. He sold everything they owned, bought a '64 Chevy Impala and hit the road in search of whatever could have done such a thing to Alice's mother. Carter had always been too soft for the job. Too sweet. Almost angelic. He obeyed his father and did what was asked of him, he took care of Alice. However, when it all came down to blade and bullet, he couldn't bring himself to kill. Alice on the other hand was the exact opposite. She loved her brother, and all she did was for him, not their father. But she could kill. And lie. And cheat.

Fast forward 10 or so years. Their father is dead, internal burns, just like Alice's mother. He had gone on the job himself, so all they knew about what he was tracking was what he had written in his journal. Carter and Alice worked jobs by themselves after that. Everywhere. Then one day, a woman in a white suit appeared. She looked human, but there was also something about her.. She had Carter's eyes. She killed him before Alice even got to ask who she was. Then she disappeared again. Alice was left alone.

Present Life:
She still travels in the Impala, trying to find the thing that killed Carter as obsessively as her father had. She has a small apartment in Chicago stocked with weapons, holy water, and the like. There are devil traps everywhere, so demons can't get in. It's not home; more of a base. However, there is an amazing LARPING site nearby, and it is the only place she consistently visits. She has quite a few friends there, and spends whatever time in-between jobs there. She's a huge sucker for sci-fi and fantasy.​
