Terry McGinnis
Terry was fiddling with the muzzle on Damon when they got themselves a new cellmate. One that was too on the 'nice' side of the guards, if the bruises and scrapes told Terry anything.
"Terry McGinnis, escape artist and punching bag of the guards." He quipped, stopping his attempt at getting the muzzle off Damon. Looking to Jack.
The man gave off an aura of blatant stupidity, the type of brashness one could see in vigilantes that had no clue what they were doing. But the subtle light in Jack's eyes told Terry that while the man might seem like an idiot, the man was simply something else entirely. A trait he picked up from Bruce's teachings on reading people, and the subtle signs of them hiding something.
Terry would walk on over to the man, leaning close to feign looking at the man's wounds and potential injuries, whispering. "
Jack, they got a camera on this cell, so keep your answers simple and vague. Alright? So Jack, did the guards mess ya up?
Do you have a plan of escape?" Terry would say to Jack. Adding the final bit as he looked over one particular bruise at the neck.
@Wade Von Doom @kookyboy9
"Oh, please, they hit as hard as feathers, barely felt a thing." Jack replied, clearly playing into what Terry was doing,
"Gonna wait until the right moment." He whispered.
"The true pain came from their insults, I mean that warden? Pheeeew, that guy stunk worse than Harturion skunk, which trust me, you don't wanna know what that is." The skunk part of it name would give some indication of what it might be.
"Seems they're moving prisoners around from the lower levels. Things are getting freakier down there, and they don't wanna have a prison breakout if the systems failed. Lights are flickering, computers are wigging out, cameras freezing up... furniture moving by itself." Jack sat down on one of the beds.
"Seems they found something they're not controlling too well."
MEANWHILE:
In Chief's cell, a lone scientist was keeping a check on both his vitals, and the downloading data of Cortana's matrix. They planned to continue removing her coding once they had secured both the data to an off sight hard drive, and backs up in case of corruption in the removal process. He was checking Cortana's console, where she was all but silent, when a pen dropped to the floor from the little pen cup on the computer dashboard. He turned around once he heard the noise, and looked between where it landed and where the pen cup was. The cup wasn't angled so things fell out of it, and the pens weren't high enough to fall out on their own. Shrugging, the scientist picked it up and put it back in the cup, before turning back around to Cortana's console. As she stepped back over, the same pen fell out of the cup.
Again, the scientist eyed the pen and cup, even more confused on why that happened. He again put it back, but the moment he turned his back, it once again fell out. Annoyed, he simply kept the pen in his lab coat pocket, and returned to the console. Then the hole cup fell over. Several pens crashed to the floor, and the cup bounced, as it was made of plastic. "Ah, for the love of..." He muttered to himself, picking up the pens and cup. He put them both on the other side of the dashboard, and put his hands up to it to signal, 'stay.' Once again, he returned to the console. He casually looked back to the cup, which didn't move, and thought maybe now he could continue his work uninterrupted. After several seconds, the cup once more fell over. Though this time, all the pens fell onto the opposite wall, like a magnet was making them stick to it. The scientist turned around, expecting the pens on the floor, only to notice they were now sticking off the wall without anything visible keeping them their. He went over to see they were slightly vibrating, shaking slightly. He was too occupied looking at them, he didn't notice a metal panel that covered the computer hard drive was also shaking. Suddenly, it was ripped off its hinges, and flew quickly across the room, smashing into the scientists head, corner first. Cortana quickly woke back up once she heard the noise, and saw the scientist was knocked out on his feet, some blood dripping down the back of his neck, as the panel hit him corner first. He began to fall backwards, but he was then throw backwards into the computer screen head first, making it explode into sparks.
The lights began to flicker, and the pens on the wall started to explode like small bombs; leaving splattered ink stains. With the computer trashed, Cortana could feel her restrictions in the console lift, giving her access to John's pod. She had to act quickly, and began the wake up sequence.
"C'mon, c'mon..." She muttered to herself, going through the protocols as fast as she could. The wall panels started to bend inwards, like they were being pushed off the bolts that were keeping them in place. The hard drives in the computer started flying out, smashing into the walls as they spun around the room. The debris hit against Chief's pod, leaving small scratch marks on the glass. The room was going crazy, but thankfully, the protocols finished, and an automated voice said aloud,
"Cyrostasis sequence deactivated."
"C'mon John...." Cortana watched the pod open up slowly, with steam blowing out as the mechanics inside unfroze the Spartan.
Shirou followed Deadpool, along with Artis and Ryan, sneaking their way toward the facility around the outermost edges, looking for any signs of possible drainage outlets. It didn't take too long before they located a concrete duct that appeared to branch out from the prison base, though the entrance was closed off by thick metal bars.
The young man laid a hand on one of the bars and closed his eyes in concentration. "Trace...On!" he spoke softly, a soft pulse of green, magic light glowing from his hand as he magically expanded his senses, sweeping further inside as Shirou used his tracing ability to form a mental 3D map of the drainage system.
"...I've got it," Shirou spoke up. "This drainage duct leads up to a central sewage junction just under the outer walls of the prison. It looks like there there's a maintenance hatch that we can use to get into the prison from there. But I also saw what looked like security cameras and armored doors in the junction. They're open for now, but it's very likely that the junction is being regularly monitored to prevent anyone from sneaking in or out through this way. Think we'll be able to get around them?"
@Wade Von Doom @Nero Kunivas
"Well, with Ryan's little ghost knockoff, should be easy to jam them, or break into their system so we can take control. If not, then.... eh." Deadpool shrugged.
"Improvise from there." Best anyone could do really. "Alright, been a while since I last did this, so take a hand please." He put out his arms for both Shirou and Ryan to grab onto.
"Artis, buddy, you're gonna have to hug my waist, need physical touch while I work my magic." As he said that, Deadpool, rather uncomfortably, backed up into Artis with his butt slightly sticking out so he could wrap his arms around his stomach. His crotch was like an inch away from touching.
If he moved anymore, we would need to move this into the redstar forums. Whenever Artis grabbed a hold, Deadpool would mutter,
"Alright.... pleasedon'tkillus, pleasedon'tkillus, pleasedon'tkillus--" and in a flash of red light, the four would suddenly be inside the duct, behind the metal bars. The water coming out the drain was high enough to reach their knees, and rushing out fast enough to knock them off their feet, so the moment they teleported inside, Deadpool lost his balance and fell into the rushing water, dragging everyone down with him, and smashing into the metal bars.
"AHHHH!" He shouted out, as his face was smushed against the bars.
"Somebody got water abilities?!" He shouted over the current.
The Queen-Baron
The shock came unexpected, and while not braced for the pain, Vaarsiks let out a startled howl before quickly moving to the source of her pain, grabbing hold of the extensions with all four arms and pulling back.
There was a harsh of tearing metal as the disc detached from the arm, letting the Eliksni use it as a weapon against the second one, pummeling it into scrap.
Turning to the glass plane, she gave a roar, challenging the scientists beyond it.
If they tried anything further, it was for certain that she would break free and murder them all just for the insult.
"Oh shit!" A scientist shouted out, quickly hitting the emergency button. The cell would be filled with smoke in an instant, acting as tear gas to try and shut her down before she could do any real damage. Guards quickly ran over with rifles aimed at the cell in case she broke free. "Subject has ripped out one of the arms, I repeat, subject is attempting breakout!" The scientist reported, with the other surrounding the Queen's cell back off or running away. But, like with Chief's room, the lights began to flicker. And the computer consoles started to glitch out.
"What's happening!" A soldier asked, keeping his weapon on the Queen. "Is it messing with the systems?"
"No, it's.... I don't know, systems are locking up across the lower sections!" What the scientists didn't know, along with the soldiers, and most everyone in the upper levels, was that way down below, where the last ground floor was, something had unfortunately escaped captivity. And for everyone down there, they didn't report its escape in time. It now wanted vengeance, and what better way than to unleash those who they hurt just as much as they hurt her. "No... NononononononNONONONONO!!" The scientist shouted out, as the computer recieved information to unlock the Queen's cell. The glass barrier that kept her inside was slowly moving down, releasing her.
"Open fire!" A soldier shouted out, with seven soldiers firing on her at point blank range to kill her.
