In the emergence of the superhero era, many a league, clan, organization and team emerged. Plenty rose to power, gaining traction and fame as a place to study your powers, train in the ways of a hero, and gain recognition for your good deeds. But none became as wildly known as Starteam.

Starteam was a duo at first; headed by the superhero couple Pathfinder and Majestas. The public was enraptured by the pair's dazzling displays of power, and their obvious romantic attraction to one another. It was a double whammy, and they always simply seemed to be in the right place at the right time; striking down their villains with ease and poise. But the duo didn't stay a duo for very long. (Those who remember the duo days claim to be original fans.) It quickly became a team of six overnight.

With the additions of Shockwave, Agony, Delphinium and Dusk, Starteam was truly born. They fought valiantly and dazzlingly, and aside from their ease in stopping grand schemes and dark crimes, they started a center in the heart of Millennium City to train other young metahumans. Though the core six were figureheads for the superhero profession, Starteam grew beyond them. It became a league, where new mutants traveled from far and wide to study and train with the masters. Many other great superheroes were affiliated with Starteam and even well after the eventual retirement of the core six Starteam was still strong, succeeded by their grandchildren and closest affiliates.

The core six were made up of the following heroes:

Pathfinder: Easily picked out by his white hair and cerulean blue glow, Pathfinder seemed to be the de-facto leader of the six. Though he didn't often exhibit any offensive abilities, most came to understand that Pathfinder had a strange amount of power in not so obvious places.

Majestas: A whirlwhind of strength and spirit, Majestas was a jack of all trades with her extremely powerful energy manipulation. From her telepathy to her energy blasts, it always seemed that she had another trick up her sleeve unmatched by any combatant. Her dark amethyst glow became a symbol of her strength.

Shockwave: The eldest member of the group marked by his permanent white glow. With terrifying displays of white lightning he always seemed to exhibit a quiet power within the group, a secret terror ready to be unleashed. He always seemed to have a close bond with...

Agony: Though he isn't going to smack down a villain with bright lightning or energy blasts, Agony is always on the front lines of every fight due to his particular power set. His regenerative abilities seem to make him completely incapable of dying. Some have claimed to see Agony's skeleton walk out of an explosion only to put itself right back together. A few hospitals adopted his forest green glow in hopes of boosting morale.

Delphinium: A surprisingly bright figure compared to the rather edgy team, Delphinium is a master of coercion. A sickly sweet aura in a haze of lilac follows her as she uses her pheromone manipulation to make enemies submit.

Dusk: Suspected to be the youngest of the group, and also the most controversial, Dusk has a power the public fears greatly. Darkness manipulation. Though her powers bear a remarkable semblance to the feared villain Umbra, Starteam has made it clear they have no affiliation and Dusk has proven herself to be on the good side of the fight. Quiet but deadly, her dark tendrils could pick someone off without them ever knowing.

Beyond the great advancements Starteam made for the metahuman community, it's quite safe to say a fanbase of nonmutant humans also formed around them. Comic books and movies and toys and t-shirts surged like never before. Starteam was beloved by both metahuman and human alike and a great deal of pop culture surrounded their legacy. This bond that was created over Starteam allowed the superhero era to become the peaceful and prolific era that it was. While there was rampant crime and mutants used their powers for evil as well, the good outweighed it.

Eventually the original members of Starteam retired (though Agony headed it for quite some time even after his partners stepped back) but Starteam never fell for the entirety of the Superhero era. The war that brought about Takym in the Wired Era marked the true end of Starteam, nearly 200 years later.

Their symbol is the four point star. ✧
