Stargate: New Beginnings

Stargate was a successful program that allowed a special branch of the air force to travel to different planets within the Milky Way galaxy. On their travels, SG-1 had found many forms of alien life as well as other planets that held human life, but the catch is Earth is not the only place that has a Stargate; the Ancients, an advanced humanoid race, left a whole system of these gates which means they have also fallen in the hands of enemies like the Goa'uld, Replicators, and Ori while forming alliances with the Tok'ra.

The Goa'uld is a parasite race that inhabits humans and uses them as hosts. Once this parasite has found a host, they then become bent on galactic conquest and domination. The name Goa,uld means "Children of the Gods", and that fits this parasite well since they carry the personae of ancient religious gods. Goa'uld's were first introduced to Earth when Apophis, who gained the power of Ra, tried to attack Earth through the power of the Stargates. This interaction with Goa'uld has also allowed their technology like the staff weapon, the Zat'nik'tel (Zat), and various other things like hand devices as well as healing devices, but the user should have naquadah in their bloodstream which is normally prevalent in the Goa'uld hosts.

The Replicators are self-replicating machines that reproduce by eating metals that civilizations and starships are composed of. These machines come together to perform tasks that needed to be done and are connected by a subspace network; they can also form into whatever shape they need such as starships and even humans, but they normally form themselves into little bugs. The Goa'uld have even enlisted the help of Replicators to enhance their hyperdrive. In order to replicate, they need a large source of energy so they are mainly attracted to very advanced technologies so they often ignore the Earth ship Prometheus. Firearms can eradicate these things, but if the blocks are closer together they will combine again; they also secrete a corrosive acid that can eat through glass and concrete.

The Ori are a group of ascended being. They live on a high plane of existence and try to get non-ascended being to worship them as gods. They also try to introduce, and force, a new religion called Origin. If the lesser beings do not accept Origin then the Ori destroys their planet.

Tok'ra, meaning "against Ra", are just like Goa'uld in the fact that they are a parasitic race that inhabit humans, but they oppose the evil lords of the Goa'uld and the Jaffa, Goa'uld soldiers. The Tok'ra lack naquadah in their blood so they have to rely on Zats to defend themselves, but they do have access to things the Goa'uld use like force fields and memory devices.

Stargate Command, located under the Cheyenne Mountains in Colorado, had their funds cut because it was thought that there was no longer any threat, but that was the wrong thinking. A message was intercepted that threatened a planet within the Milky Way galaxy. Stargate was once again funded and SG-1 has become live again with new members… Their job… to once again fend off the attacks of their enemies and form alliances that will help keep the galaxy at peace.

Appearance: Stands at about 5'7''. Her blonder hair falls just below her shoulders. Her eyes are a hazel.

Personality:
Strict, but she is caring. Her team comes before herself; she will quickly sacrifice herself for her other members. Brooke can be very brusque at times and can bark out orders. It may take her some time to warm up to those who could be considered an ally. She loves her plant and doesn't want any harm to come to it. That is why she was chosen for Stargate.[/DASH]

Role: Captain

Gender: Male

Appearance: Stands 6'1. He's got what seems to be messy hair, and it's long, to what the usual military personnel wear. He's not muscular, but he's got some tone to him, with a slightly aggressive feel in his eyes.

Personality: His ability to tackle a situation head on wasn't why he was chosen to participate in the Stargate program, but rather his ability to problem solve. He's an enthusiastic soldier. He can be hard headed at times, but he knows when to drop the attitude to get things done. He takes orders and follows them through, though there is usually a change so he can accomplish the task his way. When part of a squad, he's always on his toes willing to protect those he's with. He's more than willing to take a dive so the rest of the team can get home safely.
