Alias: #964 – Keenan Ford is registered under this number in the Arcadia project and in an effort to place distance from association with Ford as a person and rather a test subject, his name has not been used, instead the numbered reference. This number is also documented on official files with his civilian name concealed under all of the usual government red tape.

Previously in the military he has been known and referred to as Ford, a joke being that no one knows his first name. He was once nicknamed Jack around his home town for being a 'jack of all trades' type guy and has utilised this nickname to manipulate and move through society unnoticed.

He is still described as sharp witted however in stark contrast to once being loud and proud, #964 is silent and calculating. He is highly observant with minimal vocal communication. History
Our story begins back in a time before superhuman capabilities was brought into the public eye and societies technology had begun a new phase of advancement in the realm of cybernetics. Some places were still in the midst of struggle, a mobile a rare sight let alone the fandangled technological enhancements entering the market in first world societies. Keenan's mother Sarah, a nurse and avid supporter of human rights had been traveling with a volunteer group of medical staff providing inoculation against malaria, polio and other diseases in ravaged and war torn communities of Africa; meeting Roy Jnr when his unit provided security to escort them across borders. Roy Ford Junior, a soldier and well known larrikin persuaded Sarah to meet at a bar, both infuriating her and leaving a marked impression on her. It was however a successful move, and the two married, traveling with work and coordinating rendezvous when possible.

When away from work Roy joined Sarah in her work and the two were well known identities across several small communities. Sarah became pregnant, residing one of the villages to have her child and was back to work only weeks after Keenan's birth. Keenan was a bright young child with a cheeky smile and larrikin ways just like his father which he has kept for most of his life until the intervention of Arcadia. If his parents were unable to look after him whilst working he was never far away with one of the mothers in the village. Keenan was three when his mother gave birth to his little sister Julia. The small family remained in Africa until tragedy struck at a village where Sarah and Roy Jnr had been providing aid and helping to rebuild after a series of attacks on the villagers there.

Keenan was five and Julia his younger sister only two when his parents passed away in a raid whilst on the campaign in the jungle village. The children were among the surviving villagers that were rescued, Julia losing her leg from the incident and Keenan receiving shrapnel wounds. Taken by other relief members, the wounded were transported to an emergency medical station and the children were flown by medivac to the city hospital. Fortunately Keenan and Julia were kept together at the hospital and not having heard from the family when Roy jnr had said, his father contacted officials when concerns were raised. The children were later identified by their grandparents and the embassy officials worked to have the children transported home once it was safe to move them.

Keenan vaguely remembers his parents faces though cannot recall much due to his age at the time. He knows about them from Roy and Margaret, His grandparents who subsequently raised the children much as their parents would have. Though older, his grandparents were still active in the community, his grandmother volunteering and his grandfather a veteran who campaigned for the rights of his fellow men and what he believed in. With the new introduction of cybernetics, Keenan and Julia were at an age to embrace the technology however the entire family unit were against the whole idea given their experience with little technology. Though both children and Margaret possessed abilities later classified as superhuman, this was also a taboo topic, with Roy Senior refusing to speak of such things in his household. Keenan knew he and Julia both possessed 'mind' powers however neither ever knew of Margaret. Hindsight in his later years would make it evidently clear that Margaret also possessed powers however had always made it her duty to protect them against the rise of animosity in society towards such matters.

Keenan and Julia went to a public school though Keenan had a habit of getting into trouble and never paid attention. Julia excelled in her studies and when she entered her teenage years knew that she wanted to study genetics. Keenan fell into a spate of trouble in his teens however Roy Senior would have none of this and took his grandson on regular trips to teach him what he knew of hunting, survival and the life he and his son had shared in the military. Keenan later enrolled in the army, wanting to take after his father and grandfather.

In later years Keenan Ford had moved up a few ranks in service and was no longer wet behind the ears but a skilled marksman and ranked sergeant. Whilst serving his abilities were exposed to the others in his unit and a few people he had made contact with on his assignments though despite the requirement to be documented back home and the initial fear of his comrades, the group agreed to keep his abilities secret, utilising them in their work. This later explained to Arcadia as to why he was never a documented superhuman.

Not one to take leave, Keenan was fortunate enough to briefly return home during tour to say goodbye to Margaret as she passed away peacefully at home from a long battle with cancer. His grandfather though grieving always remained as solid as a rock however now lived alone as his sister had disappeared. The only information he had was that she had met someone, had a son and had moved east, later cutting off all contact. He put out information trying to track her down however had no luck and returned to work with his unit in Niger.

Whilst on duty the group were ambushed by a local militia group and in the course of the attack several men were injured, some killed and others suffering major impact wounds from an explosive device which detonated beneath their vehicles. Keenan sustained shrapnel wounds from the blast and was subsequently evacuated from the region to a military base in Niamey. Whilst in the course of transport, he drifted in and out of consciousness, an in such a state of trauma his abilities which up until this point had been well guarded by his unit were exposed through episodes of attacks (emitting a force strong enough to knock the nursing staff off their feet and destroying lights and machines. He was later flown back to the US where he was admitted into the New Las Angeles military hospital where his abilities were recorded on file, alerting Arcadia to his undocumented existence. Taking into account what had been recorded and his military background, Arcadia personnel made arrangements for Keenan to be sedated and moved out in the wee hours of dawn to their own facility, entering him into their program.

The extent of his stay with Arcadia is obscured and restricted, a perfect existence painted for the public which would have one believe that he willingly accepted to work for the division. The truth however is much more twisted and dark, physical and psychological scars left upon Keenan who became known as #964. Unwilling to comply with Arcadia staff and long lengths of torture inflicted only served to break down #964 and install mistrust and savagery. He withdrew and spoke little, soon utilising his abilities which he had grown to understand well over such time in captivity to play staff against one another and in several escape attempts. His increasing threat level and instability was significant enough for officials to fit him with an absorber cuff, designed to intercept and inhibit #964 from using his abilities. This method of control and containment worked up until a simple error in judgement on behalf of a staff member gave #964 the opportunity to once again attempt an escape. At some point his absorber cuff was removed and in the seconds that followed, #964 was able to incapacitate several officers, killing three within the immediate vicinity before successfully escaping the facility. #964 is currently listed as missing.

Backstory
Born in Switzerland, Evelyne's life was never going to be considered average. The daughter of prominent business man Bastion Montavon and former model Nicola Bradford, Eve's family spent half a year living in Switzerland and the other half in England mainly due to Bastion's work. Unlike most children, Evelyne grew up primarily spending her time around her father's office. Though she was enrolled into a school, she completed studies through distance education with a tutor on hand especially when the family travelled across the globe. Eve's friends were made up of other children from families who mixed in the elite social circles and Montec employees who had watched her grow up over the years. A shared passion for technology and want to learn new concepts whilst hanging about the Montec offices meant Eve had a close relationship with her father as opposed to her mother who though by all appearances is shown in the media as a family orientated woman was in fact considerably distant to her daughter.

In her later teen years, Evelyne wasn't immune to the rambunctious and rebellious streak of a 16 year old. Easily bored and impatient, she utilised her intelligence, 'secrets' and handy work learnt from her years around Montec to utilise gadgets to commit several thefts with her friends, not for anything other than to satisfy her boredom. One thing which was not exposed until she was caught on camera was the fact that she possessed abilities. Suddenly very much aware of his daughter's activities and exposed abilities, Bastion spoke candidly with Evelyne after pulling enough strings to have her released without charge, choosing to keep his daughters abilities as secretive as possible whilst he worked with her to understand them better. Upon graduation from senior school, Eve registered for recruitment with the D.E.E.R against the advice of her father, having intimate knowledge of the type of tech work she would be able to achieve if she were to enlist and the simple fact that such a job would prove a hell of alot more interesting than simply working under her father's shadow. Through rigorous training with the D.E.E.R, Evelyne found a love for fieldwork operations and proved that even though she would fit well in the office roles, she was equally suitable for combining her talents in the field. her habit to cause a bit of trouble for fun was not lost whilst at the D.E.E.R, notoriously known for pulling a hack job during her training to switch timetables and grant recruits a weekend of leave. This and several other small infractions are noted on her record however her performance and proven abilities positioned her with a permanent field operative job alongside partner Alexandra Morris.

Past records show the duo to be a significant force with reports clean and various commendations for their service with the D.E.E.R. This was up until what is simply recalled as the 'Belarus Incident'. The report from this mission has been sealed by the department whose official public report is a bleached statement on not having knowledge of any D.E.E.R personnel being in Belarus at the time of the incident. Alexandra and Evelyne were asked to travel to a location just out from Dubrowna to conduct a surveillance and reconnaissance mission. The mission for the most part progressed as expected until the two were overrun by the enemy and the two were incapacitated and separated amidst the fray.

Taken captive by persons from Furor, Eve was held for ransom once her identity as a Montavon was revealed. Given the news by his legal team, Bastion was noticeably distraught and immediately argued for the ransom to be paid however the response sent back to Furor was that Montec had no intentions to negotiate with terrorists. Despite suffering at the hands of the Furor, the news of her father not paying the ransom was heartbreaking, so to being the death of her partner which had been confirmed by her captors. The idea that her father didn't care enough to save her and her partner's death prompted Evelyne to strike a deal with the Furor.

Eventually travelling to the USA with her new affiliates, Eve works on creating a range of robotics as well as providing a monetary backing for Furor whilst staying within the shadows of society. Though she doesn't share the same values and ideals as other Furor personnel, she has lost confidence in her father and her own government. The furor has given her a new opportunity to utilise her skills and knowledge whilst mutually benefiting through the funding from Evelyne to achieve their targets.

'Montec'

Owned and led by Mr Bastion Montavon, 'Montec' was created when Bastion saw potential in the global market to introduce a firm which researched, explored and presented the use of cybernetics, robotics and artificial intelligence systems in various facets of society. The appearance of Chloe Williams fuelled a large boom for Montec which was fortunate to benefit from the sudden popularity rise of robotics. Equally benefitial for Montec was the kidnapping of Miss Williams which left another gap for similar companies to lead the industry. With offices littered across the world, Bastion Montavon has built a reputable empire which provides research and services to local and international clientele of various backgrounds and interests.
