hi everybody !! i'm ratsoupp and i'm new around here, but i'm looking to start roleplaying again and this little site seemed like the perfect place to meet some like-minded storytellers.
i prefer to roleplay through discord and i have a third-person semi-literate to literate writing style (though it's quite rusty ;^^), however, i'm willing to match the writing style of my partner. i'm particularly interested in creating worlds with layers of lore that are flexible to change and development. the world-building itself is my favorite part of any roleplay, so finding someone to match that energy is definitely a must! i enjoy long-term roleplays (one of my longest went on for 3 years ;D), but i don't mind something short and sweet. i think that having a bit of spicy nsfw content in a story makes it more enjoyable and immersive (yes, i'm 18 c:), but i wouldn't say i like to make it the story's main focus.
for this story, i plan on playing as a vampire that embodies the classic characteristics of the 2000's vampire rave (think twilight ;3). i want to incorporate a dark, gritty, romantic aesthetic into a custom-built modern world. my biggest source of inspiration for the setting comes from matt reeves' 2022 "the batman" (it's my #1 fixation for the 1000th time). my character will be male, so for this particular story i prefer an mlm pairing, but i'm not entirely opposed to committing to a wlm couple.
other than that, the ideas rolling around in my brain for this story are endless, and i would love to find someone who can withstand me blabbering on and on about it while (hopefully) getting some actual lore development done, hehe. i don't plan on making this a fandom roleplay, but to help spark up some conversation, below are some of the fandoms/media/games/music/things i'm interested in !!
