Savior's Legacy (Not accepting anymore)

Name: Farnor 'Moving Fortress' Orusho
Gender: Male
Age of Death: 44
Sexuality: Straight

Description
Farnor, in his prime, was a mountain of a man, towering above most others at the height of 6'4, with a build that could only be described as overwhelming. His brown hair was kept at medium length, and his eyes were of a warm, dark chocolate. He had large hands, large feet, and a tanned complexion riddled with scars and injuries. Despite this though, there was always an inviting aura around him, and he carried himself with an air of responsibility not unlike that of an older brother. There had always been a smile on his face, and despite the fact that he had been a keystone in his country's army, the Aether that he manifested never looked out of the ordinary. Just a great shield and a heavy suit of armor, something you'd see any other paladin use. His weight, of course, was a secret.

At death, his hair was as white as doves.

Personality
Idealistic and naïve, Farnor was a selfless man, always willing to put his own body on the line in order to protect others. He had few material wants in life, donating most of the wealth that he had incurred to charities and churches, this saint-like attitude of his making him one of the more popular Saviors of his time. There was no hidden 'dark' side to his behavior, and he had always acted the part of a loyal soldier, fighting off hordes of shadow spawn with his comrades, never refusing an order regardless of how impossible the task is. Others may be able to kill more shadow spawn than himself, but as a fellow man-in-arms, Farnor was the best one could ask for.

But then, Ragnarok happened, and his childlike ideals began to erode.

Aether

  • The manifestation of Farnor's Aether is that of a massive tower shield, almost larger than the man himself. Despite how heavy and thick it is, the man wields it with ease, swinging it about like one would with a roll of paper. There are no particularly ornate designs on the great shield, only a red cross painted on its silver-iron surface, but the shield possesses multiple handles that allow it to be held either in the center or parallel to the forearm. Unlike most warriors, Farnor holds his shield in his dominant arm, and uses it to smash apart the ranks of shadow spawn, and to protect his allies from harm.

  • Farnor was a simple person in the end. He developed only a few skills to use in combination with his shield, and put most of his energy towards making himself stronger, faster, and more durable. However, he does have the ability to make his shield grow at an exponential rate, increasing its weight and durability to suit his needs.

  • Protection from Arrows – Protection of Arrows allows Farnor to block however many projectiles are in his field of view, regardless of what distance they are away from him. The moment he plants his shield down on the ground and speaks a short incantation, the force of all arrows, spells, bullets, rocks, javelins, and whatever else will be unconditionally drawn to him instead. Instead of changing their direction in order to protect others, Protection from Arrows negates the offensive capability of projectiles, redirecting that offense onto the shield itself. This is the move that made Farnor famous. This is the move that gave him the title of the Moving Fortress.

  • Unparalleled defenses
    Incredibly high stamina
    Great at raising morale
    Extremely potent anti-projectile defenses

  • Strategy? What's that?
Terrible at dealing with underhanded tactics.
    Self-sacrificial
Only form of offense is physical, melee.

Background
Farnor Orusho was a boy with a dream, and enough belief in that dream to pursue it, regardless of the difficulties surrounding that. He dreamed of being a hero, a protector of the weak, and did his best to strive towards that goal. That boy grew up to be a man, and from there, a Savior. Loved by the people and by his comrades, he fought side by side with everyone else at the vanguard, protecting them from the attacks of the shadow spawn.

But when Ragnarok began, and his detached was attacked by a force greater than what they could defend against, only Farnor was ordered to retreat. Only he was considered a valuable enough force to sacrifice a town and a few hundred other men for. As he was forced away, he watched his men become overwhelm, and accepted a new mission: to accumulate as much strength as he possibly could, so that their deaths were not in vain. He trained tirelessly. He fought tirelessly. He lived tirelessly.

Yet, in the final battle of Ragnarok, Farnor was one of the first to fall, having not contributed anything to the final struggle. As he laid there dying, his massive shield shattered into countless bits and pieces, the white-haired man realized that all those sacrifices were in vain, that he had failed to make the deaths of his friends mean anything.

He should have died early, fighting amongst his friends.

That was his final thought before Farnor closed his tired eyes.

VoiceToo manly for this emo shit.
ThemeThis Illusion of Heroism

Name: Lunesia Maras
Gender: Female
Age of Death: 28
Sexuality: Straight

Description
Lunesia is a slender, elegant woman, well-endowed both in hip and bust size. Despite this, though, it's her red eyes that many people's gazes are drawn to, a sharp, vivid scarlet that has an almost magnetic appeal to it. Her hair is of an unnatural light blue, which, in moonlight, gains a ghost-like allure. Though she is a swordswoman, her hands appear free of calluses, and her muscles aren't apparent at all if one casually glanced at her body. Often, she wears her hair in a ponytail, having grown it long enough for the tips to reach past her waist. With a taste for masculine clothing, she has rarely, if ever, been seen wearing a dress.

Personality
A strong, independent woman. Funnily enough, Lunesia Maras fits that image perfectly, her emotions never surfacing from her face. In a way, she's almost like a doll, one whose gaze seems to pierce right through another's soul. And yet, inside her is the wish to discard everything, and to pursue her own dreams, something that is impossible, as long as she remains an existence necessary for the survival of her country. Despite her uncaring exterior, she too wishes for a peaceful end, and fights so no one else would.

Then, she remembered her past, and all the despair that the man who came before her felt.

Aether
  • Lunesia Maras's manifestation of her Aether takes the form of a two-handed sword with a crossguard that looks like the head of a dragon, opening its jaws to let out a single-edged, curved sword. The black leather hilt contrasts greatly with the moonwhite sword, which appears to be made out of a single block of metal, and, it is a beautiful weapon, perfectly balanced despite its shape.

  • Unlike her predecessor, Lunesia was a prodigy that had a wide variety of skills, from splitting her sword into a thousand shards, to temporarily turning the world into a two dimensional one, to converting solar energy into kinetic energy. Needless to say, she has knowledge of a massive amount of skills, making her a master of Aether in a different sense.

  • One Stroke to Split the Night – Lunesia's finishing strike, One Stroke has two different parts to it. The first is the 'passive' form, in which, as she continues to fight, her sword absorbs light and heat energy from the environment, steadily making it darker and colder, all while gathering this energy within it. The second is the 'active' form, in which the absorption rate temporarily increases tenfold, enough that the immediate surroundings are plunged into complete darkness. It is within the darkness that all the energy gathered in the sword surfaces, turning the blade into one of radiant, blinding light. With one slash, all the gathered energy is released when the sword cleaves through an object, creating a dazzling explosion. However, all that light is simply for show. It is the heat that actually aids the cutting.

The Broken Castle –Lunesia's generic area-of-effect attack, the Broken Castle is what happens when she manifests the shattered pieces of Farnor's massive shield, sending them flying at the enemy by throwing those pieces at them. Each shard varies in size, from that of a regular weapon to that of a medium-sized boulder. While they can float in mid-air, serving as aerial platforms for Runesia to walk on, they can never join as one and become a proper shield.

A Thousand Stars – By shattering her own sword, Lunesia gains the ability to control the one thousand miniature blades that are brought forth by it. While extremely fine control is difficult, with her only being able to control four different clusters at once, it provides her with a very flexible mid-range offense and defense, as well as being able to disorientate enemies temporarily.

Background
Lunesia never knew who her parents were, and spent most of her life thinking that she was created by god, not born by humans. Praised and loved by all in the same way that a newborn prince would, she nevertheless stayed distant. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy the love, but that she did not understand why they would do that. Her training soon came afterwards, every day of her life spent not on academic studies, but on physical conditioning and swordsmanship. She didn't know why her teachers were so intent on teaching her how to wield a sword before she could learn how to read, but she went with it. After all, she had no life outside of that.

When she debuted as a Savior, she single-handedly drove back a horde of shadow spawn…but didn't actually care for it. Runesia was praised, but she didn't understand why it was so impressive, when a group of Saviors could have done it faster than her alone. She lived as a Savior in the army, not even understanding why she, specifically, had to be part of this, when there was no passion behind her attacks, when she only derived a little bit of pleasure doing this 'heroic work'.

Then, Lunesia remembered her past. She remembered the friendships, the betrayal, the despair of Farnor. She fell in love with the idealistic young man who strove to be a proper hero, who had all the passion that she did not. She cried for him when she remembered that his dreams were never realized, that he would die without ever making the family that he desired. And she decided to avenge him, avenge the betrayals that lead to him dying a death that he did not desire.

On one winter night, Lunesia took her time killing those who lied about everything, who thought that they deserved salvation by crawling on the corpses of those whom they sacrificed.

And, after that, she disappeared from the country.

Runesia wandered as a fugitive, killing shadow spawn, helping those in need, and evading Saviors who were sent after her. In her travels, she realized another thing.

She utterly despised the concept of a Savior, the idea that, the moment they were born, they were forced into combat. She hated those that stole her freedom from her when she was born. She loathed the fate that chained her to a life bereft with blood and death. She pitied those who could only struggle belong, desperately trying to become stronger while others were born with immense power simply due to a past life. It was unfair in so many ways, how those who didn't want to be heroes had to be, and those who desired to be heroes couldn't be.

Lunesia wanted to destroy the world, so no Savior would ever have to suffer again. Yet, another part of her wanted to try harder to save the world, so that the same end could be achieved. She carried those conflicting desires and emotions with her all the way until she was captured, branded as a traitor, and executed by a squad of Saviors.

But she had already become strong enough by then, and, for better or worse, given another life to contemplate her decisions.

VoiceThis world…I'll end it.
ThemeA Far Off Dream

Name: Veil Farresia
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Sexuality: Straight

Description
Short blond hair and green eyes are pretty much all that really define Veil Farresia, a person who has no incredibly magnetic aura or a body that's particularly attention-catching. He has the stamp of a normal person all over him, and it isn't even because he tries to hide his power. All things considered, Veil looks just like a regular person, a run-of-the-mill Savior. His expression is neutral most of the time, a mellow face as opposed to that of a poker face. While his hands are big, and his face somewhat handsome, those are all facts that are very…noticeable. His height is average as well, only a 5'5, and there are no scars at all on his body. Well, it's not all bad. After all, plain is nice as well.

Personality
Veil Farresia is a calm person, one who takes things in stride well and rarely appears to be bothered by anything. While he's not an analytical person, he certainly isn't one that appears to be stressed out or worried. In his eyes, there exists a solution to every challenge, and while he's not smart, it certainly wouldn't help him if he became angry or too narrow-minded about the challenge at hand. Perhaps 'carefree' would be a better way to describe him, as he is very similar to a bird, flitting around and focusing only on the present. He lives life in a way that would cause the least trouble to himself, and thus, definitely isn't a hero of any type. If a girl is being attacked by a thug, he wouldn't try to intercept. He'll call the police and have them handle it instead.

Of course, if that thug attacked him…well, self-defense was fun as well.

Aether

  • Veil can walk on air, and has an unexplainable amount of physical strength, speed, and endurance, as well as skill with swords that aren't his own.

  • Pretty much nothing, cause he hasn't taken this Savior business very seriously at all.

  • Insanely Talented at Aether
    Physically Overwhelming
    Acute Battle Instincts
    Deception and Misdirection

  • Strategy? Who needs that?
    No Motivation
    No Experience
    No Pain Tolerance

Background
They were aware that he was a Savior on his third life, and that his second life was that of a powerful traitor. So they gave Veil a peaceful life, all while pushing him towards the path of a Savior. They gave him drugs to take on a daily basis so that he could stay healthy, and they gave him a balanced education. Throughout all this, they made sure that he made lots of friends, becoming close enough to them that they could use those friends as leverage.

And only then was Veil, oblivious to all the insurances that were made to keep him caged, allowed to begin his training as a proper Savior. Unfortunately for them, there was a complication.

Veil Faressia was completely and utterly unmotivated when it came to seriously training as a slayer of the shadow spawn. After all, it was a frickin' era of peace!

VoicePretend you never saw this. I was just…bored.

But not everyone who is part of the RP is in the group, and it's not like we'll be getting more sign ups any time soon, right? Considering how the RP's closed and all.
