◗ a royal state of affairs ;
↳ pairing: vigilante & royal
↳ ¿ themes ?: arranged/forced marriage, kidnapping, stockholm/lima syndrome, age gaps, a/b/o dynamics
↳ notes: still currently open. i was wanting to play the vigilante / muse b !
↳ main plot points:
▪ Muse A was born in a castle on the sea, the second born child of the King and Queen. Muse B was born in a jail cell beneath the very same castle.
▪ Growing up, Muse A is comfortable. They receive all of the education they could ever need, all of the things they could ever want, and they truly cannot complain about their situation.
▪ After being born, Muse B is left on the doorsteps of a church. The individuals within raise them until they run away from the establishment, looking for something that is uniquely their own.
▪ Muse A prepares for the future by sitting in on diplomatic discussions between their parents and other leaders, reading books on the strategy of war, and meeting the less fortunate individuals in the city below.
▪ Muse B is slowing growing an army. Though the royals had their knights and their army, it was no comparison to the number of people who loathed the crown. Muse B feeds into their hatred.
▪ Muse A is meant to meet the one they'll marry, an arranged marriage they've known about since the start. It's supposed to unite two long-warring kingdoms.
▪ Muse B and their gaggle of rebels make quick work of the guards outside and within the castle, before rounding up all royal members. Muse B requests that the king decides which of his children to kill. With just the slightest bit of hesitation, he points to Muse A.
▪ Muse A is terrified. The terror grows when these strange men move closer, brandishing various weapons, and then blood spills, but it isn't their own. Only a few moments later, Muse A's family lays dead at their feet.
▪ "Take that one with us." Muse B demands.
↳ optional plot points:
▪ Muse A's relationship with their family members had always been strained. They were always treated as the odd one out, the one who didn't belong. The sight of seeing them dead at their feet, gives them some sort of twisted and horrific satisfaction.
▪ Muse B decides to remain holed up in the castle, daring others to try and take it from them.
▪ Muse B takes Muse A to an undisclosed location in order to deal with them properly.
▪ Muse B forces Muse A, the rightful heir to the throne, to marry them.
◗ sanguis ;
↳ pairing: vampire & blood slave
↳ ¿ themes ?: age gaps, historical era, sexual slaves, incubus/succubus, fantasy
↳ notes: still currently open. i kept the main plot fairly open, bc i could see this going several different ways and i want to give my partner and i the opportunity to do it how we want.
↳ main plot points:
▪ Muse A has been alive longer than even they can remember. They've been forced to wander through life, aimlessly, always looking for something, though they're not quite sure what. Along the way, they've become powerful and influential ( in what way depends on the historical era )
▪ Muse B is struggling for money. After their father died, their income became split in half and they're unable to find a stable job that will continue to help support their family.
▪ Muse A's home is filled with men and women, high off the euphoric feeling feeding always gives humans, fucking on their bed and their floor and everywhere else they can manage. Their blood just barely satisfies their hunger.
▪ Muse B hears a man talking about a quick and easy way to make money. The words 'blood slave' roll from his tongue.
▪ With the death of one of their food sources, comes the opportunity to pick another, but this time it's different. The scent of one of the individuals is stronger and it gives them to strongest urge to simply lunge forward and take what they want. Instead, the simply point to the human and make their way out.
▪ Muse B is escorted to a room and is then locked inside, alone.
↳ optional plot points:
▪ Muse A informs Muse B that there is no monetary payment for the position. All their needs would be provided for them until the day they died, but they would receive nothing else. Confused, Muse B demands to be released, but Muse A refuses to let them leave.
▪ Muse B is an incubus/succubus, a creature specifically made to tantalize and seduce vampires. They were built for Muse A. Whether they decide to use that to destroy them or they simply fall in love, is up to Muse B.
▪ Muse A comes to their bedroom and is unable to resist the urge to feed once in an enclosed space with Muse B.
◗ the horsemen ;
↳ pairing: grim reaper & dying human
↳ ¿ themes ?: post-apocalyptic, modern-fantasy, forbidden romance, dystopia
↳ notes: still currently open. this could be REALLY dope if we spend time on the lore / reason why Muse A can defeat Death, etc. could also end up bein' real angsty if shit goes bad.
↳ main plot points:
▪ Muse A was born after the world went to shit and the Army of the Dead took over and slaughtered nearly 80% of the human population. They somehow managed to grow up in the wasteland that was the result of the war. They joined a group of bandits and have been living somewhat comfortably for the majority of their life.
▪ Muse B is an assassin for Death itself. In the world after the war, many of the reapers were set to the task of searching for a single individual, the one being who could potentially challenge Death and end the rule over the humans. One day, Muse B stumbles upon them within a group of criminals. It isn't difficult for them to convince the others they're simply a lost traveler looking for a group to travel with until they reach a major city.
▪ Muse A is suspicious of Muse B, as they always are with new people, but it only takes a couple of weeks of them traveling together before Muse A begins to let their defenses fall. They've seen numerous horrors together and it seems as if Muse B will become a permanent addition to the group.
↳ optional plot points:
▪ Muse A is a nephilim. Angels were thought to have been completely wiped out during the war and it's said they're the only being capable of stopping Death. While Muse A only bears half of the genetic makeup of an angel, it's unknown where their parent is and they're the only chance the humans have of survival.
▪ Muse A is some other type of creature / human half breed that's capable of stopping death.
▪ Muse B informs Death of Muse A's whereabouts and the route they're taking to the nearest safe haven within the wasteland before they've established a relationship with Muse A. Just before they arrive at this safe haven, their group is attacked and everyone slaughtered but Muse A and Muse B. Muse B either hands Muse A over, or helps them escape.
◗ freshmen blues ;
↳ pairing: serial killer & potential serial killer
↳ ¿ themes ?: college lifestyle, party culture, murder, small age gap
↳ notes: still currently open. i'm gonna be super picky about characters when it comes to this, so just know that.
↳ main plot points:
▪ Muse A is the golden child. Everyone in their family and town say so. Somehow, they managed to impress a scout and subsequently received a full-ride scholarship to a fairly elite university. It was more than they could have ever dreamed of. It's even more reason for them all to adore and praise Muse A. Muse A has always wondered if they'd praise them this much if they knew what went on in their head?
▪ Muse B has always preferred to be a loner. They've never been able to establish a connection with someone, not even their own parents, so it seemed smarter to remain isolated. Being unknown had it's perks when one wanted to slit the throat of some freshman sorority girl in an alleyway behind a dive bar.
▪ Muse A sees Muse B at a party. They're intrigued by this individual, though they're unsure why, and they keep attempting to interact with them. Muse B seems to be rather elusive, however. Eventually, Muse A tires of the search for the other and goes off to get a drink and rejoin the lively party.
▪ Finally rid of that annoying stranger, Muse B gets back to the task at hand and searches for their next victim. It doesn't take long until they've decided on some wasted frat dude who's ventured off down the road a bit. It should be an easy kill.
▪ The alcohol has made Muse A's stomach turn and they've made their way outside into the woods a bit, so that nobody can see them retching. When the nauseousness has faded and saliva no longer drips from their mouth, they hear a strange sound and decide to investigate further. With just a few steps more steps into the woods, Muse A is able to see Muse B stabbing some guy over and over.
▪ Muse B's finally satisfied with the crime they've committed and so they stand, ready to gather up the body and transport it to a better location, and that's when they spot Muse A.
↳ optional plot points:
▪ Muse B gets ahold of Muse A and threatens them with the knife at their throat. Muse A either ( A ) pleads for their life and swears secrecy and Muse B decides to spare their life and release them, or ( B ) offers to help Muse B get rid of the body, both as an act of good faith and curiosity.
▪ If Muse A ends up getting away from Muse B, they can't seem to stop thinking about that night. Muse B and the murder consume their thoughts. They do some digging online and are able to find out where Muse B is staying. They show up, curious and scared.
▪ If Muse A decides to help Muse B with the body, a small sliver of trust is wedged into them both and a partnership blooms from there.
◗ download the future ;
↳ pairing: android & human
↳ ¿ themes ?: dystopia, post-apocalyptic scenario, scifi, technology, futuristic
↳ notes: still currently open. think ' detroit: become human ' androids, not ' i, robot '.
↳ main plot points:
▪ Humankind was forced underground by the looming threat of the androids that had gone haywire on the surface. They had been designed by man to be flawless, intuitive, and obedient beings. The first two proved true, but the third became a problem as the androids grew more and more sentient. Their own machines turned on them and started to slaughter them by the thousands.
▪ Muse A lives underground with their family. The world beneath the surface of the Earth is claustrophobic. There are too many people and not enough jobs or room to support them. They were constantly going hungry at night, always without heat or running water, and had very limited supplies to support themselves.
▪ Muse B wasn't corrupted in the same way their brethren were. Sentience had come to them, but not with the urge to obliterate their creators. They'd been living in a place of neutrality for a long time, not killing androids or humans unless they threatened them directly. They planned on staying neutral forever, until they heard of the attack that was going to happen beneath the ground where they knew the humans had holed up in an attempt to stay away from the androids.
▪ Muse A is sleeping when the first explosion comes. They wake up quickly and find that their family members are already on their feet, gathering things they might need to escape. Their father shouts at them to retrieve something from the shed outback and still half-asleep, Muse A stumbles to the back. After getting the item, they run back towards the entrance of the house, but a hand clasps over their mouth and an arm settles around their neck.
▪ Muse B watched as the group of androids entered the home and gathered up the four individuals inside. They'd snuck around back, trying to get away from the commotion, when they spotted another human bolting for the door. It was instinct to grab them and keep them from going inside. They struggle against Muse B's hands as they watch each member of their family get murdered execution style.
▪ Muse A is only released from Muse B's grip after the group of androids has moved on. Muse A attempts to go to their family, but Muse B convinces them it isn't safe and they have to leave. Eventually, they reach the surface of the Earth and hightail it from there.
↳ optional plot points:
▪ Muse B hides the fact that they're an android from Muse A, worried it might put a halt to the friendship that's growing between them. Eventually, Muse A finds out.
▪ An android spots Muse B and Muse A leaving and pursues them discreetly. When the two finally believe they've gotten away, they're attacked.
◗ opposing worlds ;
↳ pairing: outlaw & socialite
↳ ¿ themes ?: historical, wild west, forbidden romance, age gap
↳ notes: still currently open. i'm thinking m x m or f x f for this guy bc it's a time period piece. i had a character idea for a, but wouldn't be opposed to playing b. also this is a huge wall of text but im NOT sorry bc i really want it.
↳ main plot points:
▪ Muse A's parents died when they were seven, leaving them to fend for themselves in a world that was wild and unkind. Through some stroke of luck, they fall in with a gang with big plans to take over the world or, at least, a piece of it. They're taught everything they know by the members of this gang and soon they find that this is their place, among these people.
▪ Muse B lives in one of the only well-developed cities in the state. They've traveled there with their parents from up north, hoping to make some name for themselves further west. They're used to parties with the mayor, plush comforters and mattresses, and fine clothes. It's a strange new world they're in, however, and when their family decides to travel to a nearby, smaller town for an evening they jump at the chance to participate. They've always been the more rebellious child, something their parents like to remind them of.
▪ Muse A and a few of their companions have been settled at a saloon for a few hours in both an attempt to relax and search for leads. Nothing has come up just yet, but they have no better place to be, so they continue to sit and knock back whiskey shots. The swinging doors of the saloon opening and crashing back together draws the entire group's attention to the front of the saloon. A group of fancy-looking individuals walk in, looking a bit out of place in the run down establishment. Muse A doesn't even have to look at his companions to know they're going to try and swindle something out of the folks.
▪ Muse B can tell that their parents and siblings aren't comfortable, but the lack of snobbishness from the people is a breath of fresh air for them. An hour or so in and the liquor in their belly is quickly turning into courage and confidence. Their parents and siblings retire soon enough to a hotel just down the road, reluctantly leaving behind Muse B in such a foreign atmosphere.
▪ Muse A watches as Muse B's family leaves them behind and that's when they slide in, offering Muse B a beer in an act of faux friendliness. They'd always been known for their silver-tongue and it didn't take long before Muse A was putty in their hands. After fucking behind the saloon, Muse A makes quick work of slipping expensive items from the pile of clothing they'd left behind while feigning to search for their own clothes. They quickly depart, riding off with the men they'd rode in with.
▪ Muse B can't quite forget the way Muse A kissed them just before they left, lips still burning from the heated exchange. After pulling on their own clothes, they realize that Muse A had robbed them of the more eloquent details on their outfit and the items in their pockets. Feeling angry and betrayed, they join their family at the hotel and breathe no word of the incident.
↳ optional plot points:
▪ Muse A runs into Muse B again by complete chance. This time Muse B isn't exactly thrilled to see them and strikes them in the face to show their displeasure. Muse A then tries to talk their way out of the situation.
▪ Angered from being wronged, Muse B decides to gather information about the men that had been in the saloon and soon finds the whereabouts of the man's gang. In the middle of the night, Muse B approaches a peacefully sleeping Muse A and points the gun they've just bought at them. They soon realize that, perhaps, threatening an outlaw within a group of outlaws wasn't the smartest option.
▪ When Muse A and Muse B enter a relationship with one another, they attempt to keep it a secret. However, some of Muse A's companions known them better than they know themselves and soon they figure it out. The pressure to manipulate Muse B is soon applied to them, followed by speeches about the greater good of the gang.
▪ Muse B's parents find out about the relationship and disapprove greatly. Eventually, they choose to disown Muse B and throw them out with just the clothes they've got on their back. Without any other option, Muse B goes to Muse A for help.
▪ Alternatively, when Muse B's parents find out, they restrict them from ever leaving the house and limit their interaction to only those in the family in order to 'fix' their child.
▪ After joining the gang of outlaws, Muse B finds it difficult to adjust to the new lifestyle, leading them to do a few reckless things that could potentially cost the gang their lives.
