There was a time where the world lived in a peaceful cease-fire, very few fights ever happened and continents were at peace for a long time, until the unknown lords arrived.
There was 6 lords with immense power who due to specific treatment, they wanted to become the lords of our world. There was 12 major cities and loads of towns and villages around the world but each city has to have a overlord or else the shield that covered a portal would be shattered. All the overlords got together after "Extreme" measures and stressful actions, with the plan to banish these lords from our realm. They could predict these 6 lord as, they wanted to kill half the original lords to take over their city and gain more power. When they arrived, there was a Extremely difficult fight which took a few days but in the end, the 12 Overlords had restrained them and took them to a portal which was restricted to all pedestrians and only overlords could enter as, they wouldn't mess anything up. They took off the restrictions and with a swing of their hands, some wind pushed the 6 lords into the portal and then they destroyed the remnants of the portal, forever forcing them out of the dimension.
after about 180 years later, people kept mysteriously disappearing and there was conflicts happening between different cities, believing that each of the overlords were trying to summon a unknown entity back to the world for power but truth was, that no one was doing that.
another 220 years went pass and each city were wary of each other, hearing rumors about the portal returning ( Which actually happened, ) And not sure whether to trust each other or not. Many incidents happened over the decades which gives them reason to not trust each other but they knew that if this was true, then they do need to work together.
Now 2 overlords had died for unknown reasons and there are posters scattered around the world for heroes needed to assist the overlords on very special missions.
