Qwasers. The Qwasers are the one's capable of controlling a specific element through the power of the blessing of a Maria's soma. An alchemist who possesses the power to manipulate electrons, molecular vibrations and atomic bonding. They are the descendants of Hermes Trismegistus. They are counted among the ranks of those miraculous beings raised in secrecy even before the time of Rome. A Maria's soma is the life source and main food source for Qwaser's to not only feed, but also bring out the best of their abilities through this special elixir. It comes from the breasts of the Maria, often confused for breast milk, which it is not. The life source can be sucked out without damaging the Maria whatsoever, so an unlimited supply is available for the assigned Qwaser.
Fiore was an experienced Maria who had lost many partners along the way to enemies and their own minds. She was currently standing at the altar of the Church where Marias got their Qwasers and vice-versa. The gusts of wind from the open doors ruffled her skirt around her hips with her hair, but she merely stood there with her staff pinned to her back while she waited. Her choice of outfit would make it easy to access her soma, since any Maria had to be prepared for a random attack so they could supply their partner with the required elixir.
