Roleplaying is one form of creative outlet. Short stories and roleplay posts are similar, but what about the long used verse?

This is a poetry challenge. You may use any style poetry you wish as long as you utilize the given quote somewhere within your poem. It can be the entire quote or parts of it, so long as it's recognizable. Have fun, be creative, but don't feel limited by the content of the quote. Expand and let your muse free.

If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumbered here
While these visions did appear.

~Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream

That you have but slumbered here
While these visions did appear
a tale cast in sheet rock
spilt it's blood across the wall.

A broken face against the floor
a blooded palm print on the door
Set the mood of this here scene
Without words of which to tell.

Shattered bottles on a stand
Cast aside by vacant hand
A stagnant breath of swill
permeates the very air.

Standing here I see it all
The aftermath beyond the fall
Cast in hell I see my fate
Of weight I will soon bear.

But peace of mind sets in my soul
In spite of this, I feel whole
No longer broken, Never shamed
And honestly quite free.

So face I will what justice served
For an act the bitch deserved
I see the writing on the wall
And wait...

Twilight masks the deeds undone
As nightmares linger in the air
Darkness whispers their lullaby
Mending madness of the mind:

'If we shadows have offended
think but this and all is mended'

Carefully scripted plans unraveled
Revealing dark secrets and desires
Twisting fate to fit the whim
Allure the victim into the game

A penumbra for the prey to see
Trapped in the umbra blindly
No hope for escape cold hands reach
For the premeditated prize

Rapturous feel of goal obtained
Shovels dance with the earth
A crowded feeling creeps within
While voices whisper in the ear

Battle demons who plague the mind
In the end only one victor alive
To sow the benefits of the night
One last encounter remains

With one swipe deliverance is made
The earth is moved to make two graves
A smile plays on the victors face
A final lullaby is sung

'While these visions did appear
Worry not your part in this game
That you have but slumbered here
Clears conscious mind of moral fear'

Visions

You journeyed through a wondrous dream,
Where nothing was as it would seem.
For us shadows you had no fear,
While these visions did appear.

We brought your fantasies to life,
Flashed memories before your eyes
Without ill will, you shed a tear
While these visions did appear.

If we shadows have offended,
Think but this and all is mended:
That you have but slumbered here
While these visions did appear.

You journeyed through a wondrous dream
While these visions did appear.
