The ghost city

In the year 3074 Trma, life continues in any way it can within the ghost city of Pyremoure. The UAA Virus is contained within Dome Hope and business for Stellar LLC is holding steady; however, the interest in wishes seems to be on a decline, and with it the numbers of Fær Bringers. Will there always exist those who will chase a wish through hell or high water?

Dome Pyremoure

The original city was ground zero for the UAA virus and would later be renamed as Pyremoure, the ghost city, by the outside world that already buried it, uncaring for the people still left alive inside. As far as they are concerned, Dome Pyremoure refers to everything within it, including the inner domes. There is no distinguishing færan, Fær Bringers, and the everyday people who want to go on with their lives. To those residing within the dome, however, Dome Pyremoure refers to the land between it and Dome UAA Stellar.

After Dome UAA Stellar was built and the threat of the virus was contained, there still remained the problem of the displaced population. The few sympathetic places willing to take on refugees dwindled as civil unrest rose over whether it was safe to take on those who were believed to be exposed to the virus and potentially place many more at risk, which left the majority of the population without anywhere to evacuate to. It would all come to a boil when extremists, under the belief everyone that still remained in Pyremoure were infected or carriers of the virus, took to burning the remains of the city to the ground along with as many of its trapped residents as possible. Survivors of this onslaught were left homeless and without hope.

It's the year 3074 Trma and - effectively cut off from the world wide internet, cell service, and world news outlets - the citizens of Pyremoure are oblivious to the ongoings of the outside world. But life continues in the best way it can within a society built from the ashes of a city that once was. The remaining population settled in what are now called havens within Dorm Pyremoure, though rumors of havens inside Dome UAA Stellar with populations dominated by Fær Bringers are beginning to spread.

Current total population: 33,596 of what used to be 994,447.

Currency

The currency in use is Credits. These are the approximate price ranges and what they're viewed as in daily life (mostly by the common division):

• Cheap: 1-5 credits

• Average: 6-18 credits

• Costly: 21-62 credits

• Expensive: 78-156 credits

• Luxury: 171-1,562 credits

Social Division

Upper Divide "Upper Division"
Those who were able to hold on to past wealth or got ahead of the curve and amassed resources. They primarily live in Main Haven with dwellings that are a constant source of envy.

Average Savings: 847

Common Divide "Common Division"
Those who are not only surviving, but thriving - albeit with a more modest sum compared to the Upper Division. They are more often found living in one of the four named havens with good paying jobs and comfortable living conditions.

Average Savings: 403

Working Divide "Working Division"
Those who are just getting by with little room for luxury. Hard Working citizens but are often left with jobs no one else wants to work and are paid less for it. They are commonly known for jumping between jobs and havens, which diminishes their trustworthiness in the eyes of most employers.

Average Savings: 194

Lower Divide "Lower Division"
Those who are surviving and nothing else. They live paycheck to paycheck due to some unfortunate circumstances and are unable to catch a break. They're often stuck living in Main Haven where job openings are not common with no means to move to a different haven to find work elsewhere as they are the most exploited by gangs and dirty cops.

Average Savings: 26

Under Divide "Under Division"
Those who have nothing to their name besides the clothes on their back and a tin can. The homeless of Main Haven who were chewed up and spit out by the city-haven.

The Domes

The Central Dome was erected 3020 Trma after an Unidentifiable Astronomical Anomaly made impact and, as a result, a vicious virus spread. The response was remarkably quick, but while the virus was thought to be contained the fear it left was absolute. The Dome was designed specifically to contain all the evils the Anomaly wrought. It's the smallest of the Domes at 71 sq mi. Structural integrity compromised.

Dome Jericho, much like the city that once was, was erected under a different name. In 3025 Trma the structural integrity of the Central Dome began to fail with frightening suddenness. It is believed that because the second dome was built under such a tight deadline and was undeniably rushed it fell quickly. The other reason for failing within 6 months is too grim to bear. Structural integrity compromised.

Dome UAA Stellar was erected by the Stellar LLC corporation that was hired to build the backup for Dome Jerico. It was erected in 3026 trma. With it barely having more time to be constructed than Dome Jerico, and less time still than the Central Dome, there were concerns for how long it would actually hold. Currently those fears are unfounded. Despite the existence of Dome Hope, Dome UAA Stellar is often used to refer to the Infected Zone - any area infested with færan. Structural integrity stable.

Dome Hope was erected in 3034 Trma by Stellar LLC. The same corporation took over rebuilding the city but not before it became Pyremoure, the ghost city. Dome Hope was built around Dome Stellar as a necessary precaution and is still up to this day. Structural integrity stable.

Dome Pyremoure was erected around Pyremore City in 3040. It is the largest Dome ever constructed. Citizens were trapped while it was erected and any attempt to leave was met with brute force. Noncompliant citizens were often burned alive with very few given mercy in the form of a bullet. The dome, like those that came before it, was supposed to be a completely metal construct but Stellar managed to negotiate a glass top for it. Structural integrity stable.

The Havens

What remains of Pyremoure City has broken up into smaller populations with Main Haven having the largest and being the most established. Though there are three other named havens, they are still yet young and establishing an identity for themselves. Mixed-use development is commonplace in these havens as their layouts are often organic rather than planned out ahead of time. Afterall, there are no official building codes to follow. Outside of these named havens, the rest of the population is spread across even smaller havens that function as villages and hamlets. Some lone wolves are around too.

Main Haven
Also called Pyremoure by the locals. It is where 64% of the population reside. The Pyremoure Towers are towering buildings with expired purposes. They now have boxy growths merging out of their sharp facades as residents convert them into places to live and flourish. These towers are nowhere near the size of past skyscrapers with building restrictions limiting the max build height of them to be 30 ft below the walled off part of Dome Pyremoure. Using the natural way the towers were built, a wall and two gates were established with posted guards at each one. These gates are currently the only way in and out of Main Haven.

Current population: 21,501

Wealth Range: Upper-Under Divide

Crime Rate: Home to the Fire Knuckles, the largest operating gang in Pyremoure with 200-300 assumed members, it has the highest crime rate of all the havens.

Key Features: Many public gardens growing herbs, spices, mushrooms, fruits, and vegetables.

Animal and Pest Control Laws: While meat substitutes still exist, the food served is vegan as meat and dairy requires raising animals, and animals are banned within this haven. Not even imported animal products can be found... at least not where it can be easily found. This decision came from the fear of animals contracting or carrying the virus and spreading it. Laws and pest regulations are so strict, not even rats and birds are found here.

Fire and Smoke Control Laws: As everyone is encased inside a completely enclosed structure, air quality is important. Any burning of coal, wood, or any other fuel for energy is prohibited, making mass production often not a choice. Fire safety is taken seriously and clean energy is a top priority. Residents are actively encouraged to cook only one meal a day over a stove, or seek out alternative means of cooking entirely. Ovens and traditional fireplace installments are banned.

Local Views: It's common for locals to be under the belief that they live in the best conditions within Dome Pyremoure, that survival rates for the smaller havens are low and resources are scarce. No matter how bad things are in Pyremoure, they are worse outside the walls. It's also generally well known that the authority here is corrupt and bribery is commonplace.

Outsider Views: Main Haven is well known for hoarding the majority of the resources found in Dome Pyremoure, including food and water. Even still, it's common for travelers, tourists, and other non-locals to be exploited in some way or another as it's also advertised to be the safest of all the havens

Porter Haven
Built within the remains of a shipping container yard that stretched 80 miles in its prime. The people here are said to be practical and hardy. They are also commonly seen with canine companions that are not robotic.

Wealth Range: Mainly home to the common division and working division. Having lower income or being under division is not common but not unheard of.

Population: 3,628

Eco Haven
Built within the remains of suburbia with a clean water stream flowing through it. It also has a high population of cats. Where did they come from? While most technically don't stay at a house none of them are strays. Eco Haven is their home.

Wealth Range: Mainly home to the common division and working division. Having lower income or being under division is not common but not unheard of.

Population: 2,419

Subterra Haven:
Built within remains of a subway tunnel. The residents didn't just build around the existing structure, they broke it in and made it theirs. Out of all the havens, the least is known about Subterra and the kind of people who live here. Many don't even know it exists.

Population: 1,208

Immigration

Theoretically speaking, no one is allowed in or out of Dome Pyremoure, and with the overall stigma on the citizens of the ghost city being diseased ridden and suffering from physical deformities, no one should want to go in either. But once word somehow got out that the citizens had their own "wishing well", imaginations sparked everywhere in the ill-informed, and when there is a will there is a way.

Citizens of Pyremoure are encouraged to report immigrants from the outside. As immigrated outsiders often bring with them prejudice and threaten the fragile peace that they have, they won't hesitate to do so.

Anyone who enters Dome Pyremoure cannot leave and immigrants are often stranded by whoever smuggled them in. If they are reported or caught through other means, they will not be taken out of the city and will instead be placed in custody. With how the fate of those placed in custody left ambiguous, having a change of heart about chasing a wish is rarely an option.

Technology

After Pyremoure was isolated from the rest of the world, technological advancement abruptly stagnated with a vast amount no longer even being accessible due to it either being destroyed or cut off from outside resources that were required for it to run. Most energy now comes from solar power, with the technology to gather and store solar energy built into the very foundations of most havens, which further encouraged a regression in certain advancements.

Though Stellar supplies Fyrhto energy to the Upper Divide of Main Haven, it is still regarded with caution and has yet made it into general use.

Cooking
While traditional ovens have fallen out of household use, stovetops and retained-heat cookers are commonplace. In more luxurious kitchens, food is cooked with "Fyr Light" and the technology is far more advanced. Most, however, prefer the tried and true method of precooking their food on the stove for a few minutes before shoving it into a retained-heat cooker for a deliciously slow cooked meal ready by dinner time.

Communications and Smart Technology
Phones have all but been replaced by smart watches, with the name brand, STARWatch, being regarded as the best and most advanced. Twar Watches are a cheaper and more affordable brand that is still reliable even if it can't tell you your biometrics. Cellular communications is done through short-range wireless ear pieces connected to the watch and texting is aided by the keyboard projected onto the wrist. Even photos can be taken, though often aided by attachments made to look trendy.

Recently, privacy concerns and suspicions of Stellar monitoring all communications and metadata have been on the rise giving popularity to micro SD chips as a way of avoiding texting or sharing information over wireless networks, or saving anything directly to the device itself. Some go as far as to involve their electropets in texting by saving their message on the micro SD card and directly sending the SMS log to the intended receiver via a hidden compartment in their electropet turned messenger.

Electropets
Robotic animals with AIs in various states of advancements. They are a popular choice of companion in Main Haven, especially with children, as real animals are banned. Basic models come in the shape of a kitten, a puppy, a bird, and a rabbit, and are often more affordable. At a higher cost these robots can be modified in numerous and exotic ways, often for security purposes as seen with robotic guard dogs carrying the framework of a Great Dane and the attitude of a Doberman, or to flaunt wealth with ferocious robotic, but life-like tigers.

Stellar LLC

A private limited liability company that services in infrastructure and property construction, transport infrastructure concessions, and energy infrastructure. Despite their primary role being construction, their science and technology department pioneered Fyrhto energy discoveries, which is how miraculous wishes are made. Comparing it to magic, or a source of magic, wouldn't be incorrect in the slightest.

The process of how Fyrhto is turned into energy, and then wishes, is not known to the general public. To make a wish, you must file it with a wish coordinator who will go over any stipulations your wish may have. Once your wish is filed, you may be led to the depot where you will be fitted with your purchased gear, if applicable, and then to the access control vestibule where you will pass through Dome Hope and into Dome UAA Stellar. Once you have collected the Fyrhto owed, return to the access control vestibule and you will be directed into a different building located between Dome Hope and Dome UAA. Here you will then be given the de-mutation treatment to revert back to being human. This is where your Fyrhto will also be collected. No one remembers the de-mutation process and what the treatment entails.

It takes 3-5 business days for Fyrhto to be processed into energy, then into your wish. Credits and other material products may be physically picked up in person. For wishes with no material form the wisher will simply be notified through mail of when the wish has taken effect.

Possible Wishes

Money:
Wishing for money is the most common wish there is. The cost for this wish fluctuates the most. Some businesses won't accept credits earned in this way.

Cost: 1 Fyrhto for every 10 credits wanted.

Time:
Oh to be young again. Or to realize the longer you take with this wish, the more time you need. You may choose to go back into time with your accumulated minutes, or to extend your present day beyond 24 hours. If you somehow obtain 48 hours, 48 hours to you will still feel like 24 hours to everyone else. It simply will be the longest 24 hours you ever had - to just you. Adding the accumulated minutes to yourself will only reverse time's effects on your body to look younger, to feel younger, but will not extend one's life. Once the end of your natural life has been reached, you will simply pass away in your sleep. To go into the future, is to disappear.

Now with a new gifting option!
Some exceptions may apply

Cost: 1 Fyrhto for every 15 minutes wanted.

Beautification:
Wishing to look beautiful in general achieves mixed results. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder afterall. But to look beautiful to yourself is always successful. Wishing for a nose that looks like someone else's is too.

Now with a new gifting option!
Some exceptions may apply

Cost: 20 Fyrhto

A Cure:
This could be a cure for cancer, mental illness, or the virus itself... Too bad this wish only affects the individual making the wish and never the general population. Now with a new gifting option!
Some exceptions may apply.

Cost: 50 Fyrhto

Love
Is it true love? Sure, the feeling is genuine, but would it ever be there in the first place if not for this wish? Covers platonic and romantic love.

Now with a new gifting option!
Some exceptions may apply

Cost: 100 Fyrhto

Resurrection:
Wishing for someone to come back to life is no small feat, but with Fyrto it is in the realm of possibility. It has been done once before and they were brought back whole. It is whether or not society will accept them that is the concern.

Now with a new gifting option!
Some exceptions may apply

Cost: 150 Fyrhto

The Eradication of the Færan:
Oh the wish that is so funny: to kill færan to eradicate the færan. Might as well kill them all yourself.

Cost: 1,000,000 Fyrhto

Other:
Any wish that doesn't fall in the described categories, including Not Possible. Any wish for material gains usually falls under here. The Fyrhto cost is dependent on the wish and will be applied on a case by case basis.

Cost: Not Yet Decided

Impossible Wishes

Removing Dome Pyremoure
Per their contract with the government, Stellar LLC is not permitted to allow the removal of Dome Pyremoure under any circumstances.

World Peace
Wishing for world peace had been ruled a threat to Dome Pyremoure and the citizens outside of the dome. In fact, any wish that would affect the lives of the outside world in any way has been banned.

Going on a Trip
Per their contract with the government, Stellar LLC is not permitted to allow any Dome Pyremoure inhabitants to leave the dome in any way. Likewise, Pyremoure inhabitants can't wish for any outsiders to be wished into the dome.

Unlawful Wishes
Anything that may break a law within Pyremoure or otherwise. This includes wishing for someone's untimely demise. Or wishing for færan and fær bringers within Dome Pyremoure.

Meta Wishes
Anything that may break the game/rp. This is mostly up to my discretion but anything like "I wish this world was One Piece" or "I wish this power system was based on Bleach" is out. This includes wishing for more Fyrhto, level ups, abilities, mutations, etc. The term mutation covers any unnatural traits or divergences in human evolution like telepathy, having mouths in your hands, or extended lifespans/immortality.

Active Wishes

[Data Expunged]

[Date Expunged]

[Date Expunged]

Multiple wishes for plantable soil.

Clean, breathable air.

Multiple wishes for cleared ground.

Multiple wishes for growable herbs, spices, mushrooms, roots, fruits, and vegetables.

Multiple wishes for other types of flora

Multiple wishes for water sources, clean water and filtration systems

Gear

Gear is a very general mechanic not meant to bog down the experience with stats, and can be bought with the Credits listed under average savings for your character's social divide. It mostly exists as flavor text while also serving as a way to judge how easy your character's first few encounters are. The more expensive the gear, the easier the encounter and less injuries there are. Alternatively, the cheaper the gear, the more of a shit show it will be. They're meant to be early game items but any item can have its uses given the situation.

Gear can only be purchased once from UAA Stellar. Guns are only sold in single units and two may not be purchased.

Stellar LLC Gear

- Field Knife: 16 Credits

- Barbed Wire Bat: 31 Credits

- Suppressor: 50 Credits

- Pouch + 4 storage: 75 Credits

- Deluxe First Aid Kit: 140 Credits

- Handgun + 6x bullets: 156 Credits

- 1x Bullet: 26 Credits

- Hunting Shotgun + 5x shells: 243 Credits

- 1x Shell: 49 Credits

- Hunting Rifle + 16x shots: 343 Credits

- 5x Shots: 68 Credits

- Stab Vest: 203 Credits

- Ballistic Vest: 219 Credits

Guns
Most characters, even those in gangs, would never have fired a gun before. The recoil will ruin their aim if they're not prepared for it. But I'm not looking for total and complete accuracy, and if you wanna use Hollywood logic I won't bat an eye. Go forth and confuse all the clips and mags, silencers and suppressors. Revolvers can be interchangeable with handguns at first purchase too. You can add typical cyberpunk fuckery to anything within reason but here is the general rundown of the guns mentioned:

Handguns
I was thinking along the lines of a 9mm but I kept it general so people can go ham and describe whatever their little heart desires, including different rounds. I will inform you that, because of their size, they are deceptive. Most people I've talked to find them unwieldy for a first timer as they are trickier to use than they may appear, especially since most aren't prepared for the recoil (the higher the gage, the more recoil it will have - though a .22 pistol will not fire as smoothly as a .22 rifle apparently).

Shotguns
I had waterfowl hunting shotguns in mind but once again you can have whatever your heart desires. Shotguns can shoot a shotshell that contains pellets so when they're shot, they fire a spray. They may also shoot a singular slug. Most have fair expectations when it comes to shotguns so there's not much to say on the subject. Yeah you may break your nose with it if you shoot it wrong, but the same goes with a handgun.

Rifles
Children of gun enthusiasts are started off on rifles because of how manageable they are. They will still leave their tiny hands sore, sure, but the design of most rifles offer more control over the recoil. But children of gun enthusiasts are also raised on guns, gun safety, and are trained in a control environment. Good luck.

Miscellaneous Gear

Stellar will allow the admittance of one luggage item (a backpack for example) and up to 12 different items not on their list for purchase. Extra clothing items are not counted individually and can simply be listed as clothing.

Luggage items have 12 inventory slots, and each slot maxes out at 3 in a stack. To carry multiple stacks of one item takes up multiple inventory slots (you can carry up to 3 bandages in one inventory slot but 6 will take 2 inventory slots, leaving 10 inventory slots left for other items).

Stellar would also like to remind their customers that Dome Hope is an enclosed structure with no ventilation. Lighting fires (making camp or molotovs) should be done at your own risk.

Fær Bringers

Fær Bringers are the Pyremoure citizens who are foolish enough to brave the inner domes and eliminate færan to have their wishes granted. Limited resources have left the average civilian without any proper weapons to kill a færan, and unless one is able to afford Steller's prices, are often left to defeat one on their own. This has resulted in a high death rate and a decrease in interest in this particular career path. But it's to the Fær Bringers that the Pyremourians owe a livable existence. It's on their wishes the foundations of all havens have been built upon, and for life to continue, so too does the existence of Fær Bringers.

For those who succeed in killing a færan, they are granted a basic mutation that allows them to continue on. Once a Fær Bringer, you may not leave the UAA Dome until you have gathered sufficient enough Fyrhto to fulfill your wish. There is no leaving prematurely. Once your quota is met, you are not only free to leave, but cured of all mutations by the Stellar LLC company. No mutations/Fær Bringers are allowed outside of the UAA Stellar Dome.

Diet: Because the UAA Virus has no effect on Fær Bringers, they can hunt animalistic færan without worry. Eating færan that were made from humans in one form or another is taboo.

Roles

Once within Dome UAA Stellar, Fær Bringers have many roles they may choose to play during their time here.

They can focus on gathering Fyrhto to grant their wishes.

They may also be hired as guards within the UAA Dome by regular scavengers looking for resources within the Dome.

Or hired by "sponsors" to collect Fyrhto for their sponsor's wish. The most common use of this program is making civilians gather Fyrhto to pay off a debt, or die trying. The more ruthless of a person you owe a debt to, the more likely a relative is to inherit your debt upon your untimely demise.

Richer citizens may sponsor a Fær Bringer, or the creation of one, for their own wish. This may include splitting any gathered Fyrhto with the generous sponsor if the Fær Bringer has their own wish, which may bring up the cost of it, or only collecting Fyrhto for their sponsor just to earn credits.

They can simply choose not to leave at all and become permanent denizens of the UAA Dome.

Abilities

Abilities have three categories:

Combat
Any damage dealing ability falls under combat.

Defense
This includes barriers/shields or an increase in your own durability.

Support
Any ability can offer support in some way. This includes healing, anything that increases physical attributes like strength or speed, and regeneration. Abilities that allow you to de-mutate at will also fall under support.

Mutations

A physical mutation is when a part of the body undergoes an inhuman change. For a mutation that includes a secondary attribute to occur, both a physical mutation slot and an ability mutation slot must be available. For example, turning the skin into a hard material takes both a physical mutation slot and an ability slot as the added durability will be a support ability. No ability slot will need to be taken up for mutations like claws to cut or fangs to bite.

Parts of the body that are counted for separate mutation slots and how they are counted:

The head. Any changes to an individual facial feature uses up one mutation slot. Eye mutations take up one slot for applying symmetrical mutations. For asymmetrical mutations, only one eye can be affected unless another mutation slot is used for the other.

Any mutation that affects facial features, like changing the pupils in the eyes, counts as a head mutation.

Changing the orientation of a facial feature (wanting to turn the eyes vertical from their horizontal orientation for example) is a head mutation.

A mutation that affects the hair is a head mutation.

The neck.

The torso. This includes the front (stomach and chest), and back. Tails are counted as a torso mutation. An additional set of arms is counted as a torso mutation, and as one mutation - they must match the arms the character already has. Adding something like spikes to the back is a torso mutation.

Arm mutations take up one slot for applying symmetrical mutations. For asymmetrical mutations, only one arm can be affected unless another mutation slot is used for the other.

Hand mutations take up one slot for applying symmetrical mutations. For asymmetrical mutations, only one hand can be affected unless another mutation slot is used for the other. Any mutation that gives claws can go on the hands and counts as one mutation.

Leg mutations take up one slot for applying symmetrical mutations. For asymmetrical mutations, only one leg can be affected unless another mutation slot is used for the other.

Feet mutations take up one slot for applying symmetrical mutations. For asymmetrical mutations, only one foot can be affected unless another mutation slot is used for the other. Any mutation that gives claws can go on the feet and counts as one mutation.

Skin mutations include any mutation that covers the skin such as fur or scales, or changes the color of it. This also includes turning the skin into another material, like rock or diamond, entirely. If you try to turn the skin into something like rubber, only the skin will be affected, not the bones and muscles like Luffy's Gum-Gum fruit.

Changing the properties of the entire human body is currently not possible at this time.

Phase 01 "Ph1"

Earned through killing one færan and gaining a Fyrhto. The Fyrhto is placed over your own heart and it barrows into the skin. The process is painful indeed. Pop an Ibuprofen for all the good it will do. Through this process the Fær Bringer can gain up to 3x physical mutations, and up to 4x abilities.

Up to three combat abilities are allowed. The remaining slots can go towards defense or support with no limit on how many of either one can have (meaning one can have up to 4 support abilities or up to 4 defense abilities, not that one may have an infinite amount of either).

Each Ph1 ability has 3 charges, meaning it can be used up to three times in a role play thread. Some exceptions, though rare, may apply. It takes five hits from a Ph1 ability to kill a Ph1 færan. Pray you don't miss. A Ph1 Fær Bringer has the ability to kill one Ph1 færan with certainty. Two Ph1 færan will be a struggle. Three Ph1 færan is high risk.

Phase 02 "Ph2"

Earned through using five Fyrto on yourself to power up. Once Fyrhto is used to power up, it cannot be used towards a wish. This begs the ultimate question: do you gain strength to take on more? Or do you save up every Fyrhto you can?

You may power up four current abilities to Ph2 or choose to gain two additional abilities. Any gained abilities will start at Ph2. You may gain one more combat ability if you so chose.

Any Ph1 ability not upgraded will still only have 3 charges. Any Ph2 abilities will have 5 charges.

You may also gain up to two additional, physical mutations.

It will take 20 hits to take down a Ph2 færan. Take on multiple at your own risk.

Færan

Færan; from Old English, Proto-Germanic, "to terrify". From simple life forms, to the dead, to the living, little is actually known about this UAA virus. The term Færan was coined by Dr. Amani D. Gates, CDC scientist and an interveree featured in The Days: An Oral History of the UAA Humanitarian Disaster:

"They are not zombies. Zombies is too kind of a term to refer to what we saw these poor animals change into. They never died. They became something else entirely. Something cosmic and beyond our mortal comprehension. They are still alive, still of conscious mind, and they are terrifying. From this point forward, we will be referring to these new creatures as Færan..."

Like zombies, all it takes is a bite or a scratch to become infected. The incubation period, the time between getting infected and when symptoms appear, was 18-24 days with older strands. Newer strands now have it down to 2-5 days. During this time frame infected look and act normal. The most obvious sign of UAA is progressive weight loss despite an increase in appetite. The infected may also expirence a decrease in social interaction, loss of awareness, and start displaying a total lack of fear to immediate threats.

Once the virus has incubated, symptoms will begin to to show. At first, the infected will shows signs of acute inflammation; redness, swollen joints that will feel warm to the touch, and joint pain and stiffness. Then flu-like symptoms such as fever, chills, fatigue, headaches, and muscle stiffness. Once symptoms peak, the body will undergo a spontaneous transformation into a horror. In oral accounts, one witnesses described this transformation as a quick and violent metamorphosis with the skin acting as a cacoon for mutation to occur.

"Sometimes it's like they burst out of their [own] skin." - Anonymous.

Færan are hunted by Færbringers for Fyrhto, dark, crystallized masses that forms in the heart or brain. Little is publicly known about Fyrhto, only that they they can bring about mutations in human, and that the Stellar corporation can process them into energy and wishes.

Though it's currently unknown how Færan advance through them, there are currently three documented phases in Faerans:

Phase 01: Most commonly weaker animal and dead based mutations, and because of this, the most commonly hunted phase; however, without proper equipment they are still hard to kill for a normal human. They are the most recognizable as what they once were.

Phase 02: Most commonly predatory animal and living human based mutations. Only the strongest make it to this phase. Most Fær Bringers tend to avoid them, even if they do tend to carry two Fyrhto cores. It's often hard to tell what they once were.

Phase 03: It's uncommon for Færan to make it to this phase with only 1 in ever 50 phase two Færan making it to phase three. They can have up to three Fyrhto cores.
