PM screen size

Hey I'm seriously having an issue with my private messages here. Its like they're all scrunched up on the sides making it look really weird and I can't type properly. My laptop is an old laptop but it shouldn't be the issue I don't think. I'm on google chrome and its at its regular size of 100% so its not oversized what's the issue?

There is a little circular arrow on the right side of the screen that you can click to hide your sidebar!

Thank you now if only I could figure out my other technical issues with this old ass laptop.
