A PLOT CHALLENGE is where you are given a word, a phrase, a sentence, or a setting and you have to come up with a plot idea that is inspired by those words!

The object is to THINK FAST and share the first ideas that come to mind. It's an exercise in quick creative thinking. You can do this challenge any time. Or multiple times!

To Participate: THINK FAST. Don't waste any time. The first idea(s) that comes to mind, write it down and post it! You are to write down a plot premise or basic idea. This isn't about writing scenes, this is about writing up a setting!

It's the year 5067 and Oksana has had enough of her brother's shenanigans. Since they were old enough to work, Oksana and her brother Fyodor have taken on their deceased father's craft in mechanics. Their family name being famous for extraordinary talent, Oksana and Fyodor have only added to that reputation with their skills. But a young boy like Fyodor can get bored from such a peaceful life. At first, Oksana took no notice of her brother's interests in weaponry. But now, he's gone too far. Fyodor has built a robot that's dangerous and out of control. It's a test of Oksana's skills to make a machine to stop the robot (and not murder her brother). Not only that, but it's illegal to build weapons. So now she has to deal with running from the cops! And where the hell did Fyodor run off to?

Police Chief Wallace had wanted a nice normal job, in a nice normal town, looking after nice normal people. He had never counted on accidentally saving the life of a multi-billionaire who dreamed of staring up his own city on the moon, and now that Jason Hathrift's dream is realized he's going to see to it that he repays his debt.

Now Chief Wallace is stuck as chief of police for the Hathrift moon colony, chasing after geniuses in everything from nuclear fission, to temporal mechanics, to zoology. And here he'd thought nerds just wanted a quiet place to study.

But no, experiments go wrong, chemicals get combined that shouldn't, machines learn too much – which leads to the latest fiasco. Someone's made a slash-n-dash robot and now it's lost downtown.

Note: Players can play as anyone on the Hathrift moon colony where due to the brilliance of the residents, anything can happen.
