Path of a Gym Leader

I'm thinking of running an Rp from the perspective of in-training Gym leaders as they aspire to attain their own Pokemon gym.

I'm going to go ahead and reserve the electric typing until further notice. There can be multiple gyms of each type if you guys want.

Maybe Ground Dragon for me? But if push comes to shove ground will be fine

I think as long as it has ground as it's primary or secondary typing then it should qualify for ground (as with dragon). Unless the majority would rather stick to primaries.

Would fakemons be out of the question? Maybe are soon to be gym leaders are training to take the place of missing or retiring leaders in this region thus being new to them?

I have seen some fakemons with good influences for interesting environments

I'm gonna say no to fakemon for now due to certain complications. If most of us want to incorporate fakemon then I might change my mind. And yes, that or the region is brand new and they will be the first leaders to fill the role.
