Nuclear war would have more climate implications than it would continental. That said there's a whole gambit of possibilities. Concentrated bombardment of a mountain region could result in mountain areas being turned into high altitude valleys, isolated from the rest of the world. Underground detonations could result in cause a drop of global sea levels pushing out the coast lines as sea. Much of it would be land similar to the salt flats in Utah.
