Aria Mirari
Lady Songstress
The Melodic Lioness

Name: Aria Mirari
Age: 20
Gender: Female

Titles: Lady Songstress, The Melodic Lioness
Tribe: Half-Fae and half-human. She believes she is fully human.

Appearance
Height: 5'5"
Skin: Fair, golden undertone.
Hair & Accessories: Wavy, dark cinnamon with golden highlights down to her lower back. Half up adorned with a butterfly pin.
Eyes: Caramel.
Build: 125lbs, toned.

Wardrobe:
The castle where she grew up, they had her wear fine, handcrafted dresses – fit for a Princess. Though she is not one by birth, the king taught her as such, next to his own daughter. He lavished her with glittering jewelry of many rainbows and gave her many gifts throughout the years. The Princess' envy elevated against Aria and the darkness in her heart surfaced evil thoughts.

Since Aria's escape, her only attire is what she is currently wearing: A dress the colour of the sun. One she is able to move freely in, shadowed with her black, hooded robe. Dancing shoes which allow her to walk and run without a sound. Jewelry of the moon which obtains its glow from the sun. Phases of the moon clasped around her neck, stars in her ears and an engagement ring of crimson, which she has taken off and placed in her purse.
A purse of gold and small trinkets.

Personality
- Though she has been surrounded by many, she is incredibly alone. Many call her by title than her name.
"Lady Songstress!"
"She is The Melodic Lioness, no one compares!"
- Healing through her songs, she is naturally compassionate. She hates seeing the suffering of people and reaches out to help them anyway she can. The only confidence she has is through this power.
- Trust in people has been diminished over the years of being locked away in a golden cage all her life.

Dreams: The freedom she has never known and true love she hasn't found. Friendship seems but a fleeting hope.

Hobbies
- Dancing
- Capture the Gemstones (game, like Go)
- Research
- Reading from the Ancient and Mysterious Oracle
- Writing

Fears
- No control over her life
- Without freedom, captured
- Monsters
- Being alone
- Handed off to an unwanted marriage
- Failure in general and also failure in trusting the wrong sort. She's been sheltered and doesn't recognize a deceiver.

Strengths
- Magic. Whether through song or the elements of air and water.
- Compassionate towards both people and animals. Like a double-edged sword, she is wary towards people. It is the sick, the widowed and orphaned that captures her heart. Animals have always had a soft spot in her.
- Judgment between right and wrong.

Weakness
- Poor judgment of character
- Trusting others too much
- Lack of confidence in socializing for fear of being spotted or captured
- Self-critical

A prophecy has been known to the king and his counsel about a Songstress being born among them. She would save the city with her Songs of Healing and Everlasting Verse for invigorating the army and hindering enemies in time of need. Accompanied by a duo of elemental magic to protect her city.

A star in the night's sky would lead them to her. An untamed stream of magic would lead them to her. The king had his Magistrates be on the lookout for such an event.

Aria was taken from her family in the guise of helping her and her mother. Her father was out on business, unable to defend and be an authority figure in his own house. It has been said he didn't care for the child and was in on the abduction.
And so, Aria grew up in Hilltop Castle without knowledge of her real family. Not knowing she is half-fae and half-human. Born without wings, as it happens when mixing DNA. From childhood she had recurring dreams of flying, having beautiful wings, and silhouettes of what she felt were her parents.

Taught as a Princess, her sister has been incredibly jealous and envious of Aria's position. A Songstress was considered in higher stature than a Princess. Her sister had marked her for destruction and ruin for cursing her existence. Aria sought a way of escape from the entire kingdom. She would rather face her fears than allow her life to be cut short or played like a puppet for the rest of her life.
Leaving the kingdom city, she felt sorrow for those she had abandoned...

Cloaked in a black robe, Aria sneaked her way through the castle under the blanket of night. This was her only chance of escape and she won't squander it any longer. She memorized the hallways, corridors and wings of the place she grew up in, like a blue print tucked away in her mind. All she had to do was get to that special room where her friend was being held and escape together.

Light on her feet, she passed by the routine of guards of their patrols, even their shift changes. Hiding against a wall, she peered out to see a guard standing in front of the door. She waited for him to move, but he just stood there. Worried and impatient, she glanced her surroundings, keeping her breathing in check. No guards coming this way, yet. Short on time, she had to do something before they saw her and mistake her for a thief.

She whispered a song and a butterfly, glowing like the moon appeared. Gently she blew it toward the guard and it slowly fluttered to its destination. She hated doing this against people who were sworn to protect her, but she had little choice left. Her life now hung in the balance between freedom and death.
The whispers of song were subtle and eerie to her ears, and also the guard's. Aria watched, half hidden by the wall, as the guard's head moved from one side to the other. In a frantic state he made a whimper. Stifling himself from screaming into the night, he briskly walked away as quietly as a man could stuffed in armour.

Clank, clinky-clank, clinky-clank.

Away from her view, she heard him nearly jog further down the corridor. Once she could barely hear him, she captured the opportunity to get through the door. Slinking down the hallway against the wall, cloaked in darkness, she could hear another clanking of armour coming from behind her.
Now or never!
Swiftly, she moved her feet almost like a dance, refraining from making any noise, and tried the door.
Locked.

Clank, clank, clank.

The guard was coming closer, but now she's hearing more than one. She couldn't tell from which direction and her stomach began to drop, her heart beginning to pound. Her lips parted to breathe more rapidly, but trying to control it again while frantically trying the door again and again.

Ker-plunk. The door opened.

Aria slipped through just in time and quietly shut the door. She came face to face with her friend.
A blue eyed, white cat with wings sat before her in a cage. Wearing a white color fastened with a light blue, moonstone crystal.

"Lily!" Aria hushed herself quickly from excitement. "Let's get out of here." She unlocked the cage with a simple wind command and Lily charged out, meeting her hands.
Lily rubbed against Aria's hands as she consoled her while hearing the guards pass by. Aria opened the door and the two made their escape into the night.
