blue A group of unlikely people that met through tragic and miraculous circumstance have looked at the world around them and they have seen the suck. The villains suck. The heroes suck. The cops suck. The government sucks. Everyone fucking sucks. But these guys? They decided to embrace the suck. The Marvelous Madcaps were born on a whim, which is only fitting considering they act on whims. They aren't SHIELD agents or X-Men or Avengers with missions and dossiers. They're a group of kickass people tired of being told they have to be heroes or that they can't be when the heroes they have are doing a shit job. The Madcaps go where they want, when they want, and they do what they want. Maybe they'll rescue a kitten from a tree or maybe they'll have a massive war with a squadron of the Watchdogs' finest. Maybe they'll even rob an ATM or two. Who knows!

  • Once upon a time, there were some people that did some things.

In a world where heroes and villains seem to have peeled themselves from the pages of graphic novels and inserted themselves into our lives, it feels like everyone expects extraordinary people to do extraordinary things. To them, it seemed as though anyone with the intellect of Tony Stark or the strength of Our Lord and Savior Steven Grant Rogers should definitely use it for good, to serve humanity and thwart evil-doers.

Unfortunately for all the assumers making asses outta themselves, not everyone wants to fall in line with their black-and-white model of good and bad, heroes and villains. Being incredibly skilled or having powers beyond human capability shouldn't force you into one of two boxes, right?

That's where Madcaps comes in. Their name is about as seriously as they take their "job".

It all started one balmy summer day six months ago. Eight individuals happened to be on the same plane that was hijacked by a wannabe-villain -- The Ender. Terrifying, right? The only thing that was scary about him was his incompetence. The plane went down, but only by a series of highly unfortunate accidents rather than by The Ender's own doing. But, luckily enough for the good people of Flight 871, they had not-quite-superheroes on board! The crash landing wasn't so bad, and there were no fatalities or serious injuries. The Ender managed to get away, but nobody was dead and he was an idiot that was probably going to get caught soon anyways. No harm, no foul.

Now, the people of Flight 871 ended up stranded in the beautiful, mosquito-infested wilderness of the Rockies for a month before the rescue party found them. Huzzah. The Eight -- as the heroes of the crash were initially called -- were harangued and harassed the whole time about working for the greater good. The not-quite-heroes talked amongst each other (because talking to everyone else was annoying) and discovered they were more alike than they thought.

They parted ways after the rescue, but they remained in close contact. A few years later, they found themselves kicking it at their bi-annual vacation when one of them spoke up about some real shit...

Their heroes kind of fuckin' sucked. They were all so useless. It felt like there was nobody that was willing to stick up for people that weren't human and it was a load of bullshit. In fact, the UN had passed a Registration Act that was even worse than the new-and-improved Sokovia Accords (which prevented superhumans and mutants from using their abilities outside of their own homes). The Registration Act called for anyone and everyone that wasn't human and any human with a kick to report to their local Sentinel Services office to be evaluated and tagged. The government would decide whether or not they were dangerous, and they'd then be registered to an international database. The dangerous ones were considered WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction), and the fine print of the Registration Act declared that any WMD was considered government property and subject to be procured and used at the discretion of their native country.

Some of them were already evading Sentinel Services -- more than a few of them had a track record already. Tony Stark didn't seem keen on helping, and Captain America was AWOL with his half of the Avengers. The Revengers would probably help, but they didn't have much drive without Thor there.

So, thus the Madcaps were born. Sure, their name was kinda dumb, but they're a force of nature. Their goal? To dole out justice whenever, wherever, and however they see fit. Nothing is below their paygrade.

  • ☆This is a zero tolerance zone, okay? I will not tolerate bullying, rudeness, or people just being dickwads in general. Please remember that drama belongs between characters, not between writers.

☆If you're experiencing problems with another writer, please contact me so we can handle it efficiently and maturely. The last thing we need is for the threads to dissolve into a flame war.

☆This roleplay is based in an alternate Marvel universe. As such, I am okay with, and encourage, characters that are amazingly amazing, maybe even downright goddamn cliche. You want a character that can bend the very laws of physics? GO FOR IT, BRO! Just please keep in mind that your characters are not immune to cause and effect.

☆That being said... Nobody's characters are untouchable. I will not accept godmoding, extreme powerplaying, or metagaming. Please use the two commons when writing: sense and courtesy. Just because your character can snap their fingers and explode the heads of every NPC within a 5 mile radius doesn't mean that they should. Will our characters get around to doing dumb shit that will end up messy for them? Absolutely. But it won't be a constant thing happening.

☆Do not be afraid to make suggestions! This isn't just my story -- it's our story! I would love to hear from my fellow writers on what you guys think would make this even more fun.

☆I'm honestly 1000% okay with people having the same powers or skills.

☆NO CANON CHARACTERS. You may apply for characters with connection to Marvel-canon characters, but I will be picky about them and I will not accept blatant rip-offs of canon characters, nor will I accept canon characters under any circumstances.

☆Please use real-life people for your character face claims. I don't care if you use Beyonce, but please. Real life face claims. Thank you

  • Considering that our AU includes mutants, Inhumans, and everything in between, the timeline is kind of... there. Nothing that Fox or Sony has ever produced is in any way canon in this universe. I spit on their films. PTUH! Anyway. Consider this an MCU-AU. The events of the films from Iron Man up to Black Panther are canon, as are the events of everything from Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones,*gag*Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher, Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, and *shiver* Inhumans.

But, for your convenience, here's a basic-as-shit timeline!

1942: With the help of German engineering *in my Reinhardt voice*, the American Government has created the first perfect super-soldier – Steven Rogers, aka Captain America. Months later he crashes a ship and freezes after a battle with a Nazi that unironically calls himself Red Skull.

1962: X-Men divert the Cuban Missile Crisis. Hellfire Club ends and Brotherhood of Mutants begins. United States government begins massive cover-up.

1965: Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters is officially registered as an accredited school and begins to enroll students and recruit mutants.

2008: Sometime in mid-February he "breaks Harlem" in a battle for the ages against Abomination, a creature that is the first prime example why the government can't be trusted to train or create supers. Then Bruce Banner disappears. Around that same time, Tony Stark is kidnapped before reappearing in May. A few months later Tony Stark murders (is it murder if it's self-defense?) Obadiah Stane before coming out as Iron Man.

2010: Shit almost goes to Hell in a handbasket because Tony Stark's father is a thief and Whiplash came for blood. Justin Hammer went to jail because he sucks – and teamed up with a supervillain. And Tony Stark/Iron Man beat his new nemesis, Whiplash. But where's the bird? The good news is that Tony's bestie, Rhodey, decides to steal one of his suits, call himself War Machine, and is now a hero.

2011: Humans find out that they are definitely not alone. As if playboys with missile-laden suits of armor and giant green monsters weren't enough to worry about, humans found out that the Vikings weren't crazy. Thor crashed down to Midgard after being exiled and had a grudge match with his adopted brother, Loki (who's also real fine) that nearly leveled a small town in New Mexico. Then they all just disappeared. OH! SHIELD also found Captain America and decided to defrost him.

2012: Loki came back and he's mad. He wants to rule over humans because he believes humanity is incapable of doing anything worthwhile on their own. He's not entirely wrong. But, humans are humans. The Avengers, SHIELD's super secret boyband, is formed and consists of: Iron Man, Thor (who decided to chase Loki to Midgard and help the puny humans), Bruce Banner/Hulk (who was seduced out of hiding by–), Natasha Romanova/Black Widow (who was previously spying on Tony Stark and destroying Happy Hogan's ego), Clint Barton/Hawkeye (who's basically their dad), and Captain America. They beat back Loki's invasion and win the Battle of New York. Insane. Why didn't the mutants help? They're perfectly fine not being discovered and hunted down.

2013: Once again, people go after Tony Stark and his tech. He has a lot of shit going on, the Vice President turns out to be shady, exploding super-soldiers are running around, Tony does dumb shit (like challenge a super villain to come and fight him at his house). It's messy. The panic attacks and PTSD aren't helping matters. But, because he's a hero, he saves the day. And then he destroys all of his suits and fixes his chest – HOORAY. And apparently, War Machine is now Iron Patriot because that sounds less like his sole mission is to invade and conquer. Later on that year, we see many places in the world experience unnatural phenomenon as the worlds, not the stars, the worlds align. Dark Elves apparently aren't dead (thanks, Bor) and they try to take over the entire universe. Thor, his biceps, his genius girlfriend, her intern, her intern's intern, and some old guy manage to defeat them! Though there's a giant creature from Jotunheim running around somewhere now...

2014: SURPRISE, BITCH! IT'S HYDRA. Yes, HYDRA. While the government thought that Captain America had ended them decades ago, they were surprised to find out that HYDRA has been infiltrating SHIELD and every level of government since the 40s. It wasn't that hard, given that the government actually hired some of them... But who cares. It's also when Cap's best friend, Bucky comes back as a sort of mind-controlled zomie: The Winter Soldier. It's frightening, though most citizens didn't even know what was going on, just that secret organizations and supers were fighting again, and now there's a black guy with metal wings and a jetpack flying around with Captain America. Nick Fury is "dead". SHIELD fell and many agents sought refuge working for the government or, even better, Tony Stark. Those that didn't work for Stark continued on in the shadows, aided by the many faces of Koenig. There's also some shit going on in space with a Kree guy, Ronan, and a dipshit human that goes around calling him Star Prince or something.

2015: Tony Stark seems to be incapable of not messing shit up. This marks the year that his murderbot got smart and realized that humans were shitty creatures destroying the world. So he decided to help them do it faster. The Avengers refused to stand for it and they beat him, though at the expense of several lives and livelihoods, as always. And then Hulk launches himself into space and Thor goes home with the technology that created Murderbot. An amazing potential hero dies when it should have been Hawkeye, and the Avengers gain a 17 year old witch. Back in the US, there's a tiny man with ants running around calling himself Ant-Man. Scott Lang, a brilliant hacker and burglar, got his hands on Hank Pym's tech, which is better than Stark's, and decided to be a superhero in the best way – taking down corporate. Hey! He managed to beat Falcon! In Queens there's also a kid running around in a crappy spider costume calling himself Spider-Man. But he's doing good. He's doing real good.

2016: The Avengers botch a mission that ends up killing refugees, children, and others when they accidentally toss a bomb... at a hospital. The legality of their operations is then called into question. The Sokovia Accords are drawn up! Anyone and everyone wanting to do superhero shit (especially supers, and especially Avengers) have to sign and abide by the new rules or retire. Or be imprisoned. The Avengers split up because at least 4 of them know better than to trust the governments to oversee people with super abilities. They fight a lot, have a showdown in a German airport. Tony Stark thinks it's brilliant to let a 15 fight seasoned assassins, heroes, soldiers, and warriors. Rhodey becomes a paraplegic. Bucky tries to clear his name because he's not going around killing people – it's another man in a wig. #TeamCap gets imprisoned on The Raft until Cap breaks them out, but not before he and Bucky put the smackdown on Tony. Meanwhile, T'Challa/Black Panther is actually doing something productive and he manages to catch the man who orchestrated the entire splitting up and destroying of the Avengers. Later, Cap and his team hide out all over the world. Bucky is kept in Wakanda where their advanced technology helps fix what HYDRA broke.

AND IN CHINA there's a wizard fight. Sorcerers from Kamar-Taj engage in an unholy battle to decided whether or not a timeless entity will be allowed to merge with our world. Doctor Strange, a cocky and narcissistic surgeon that found something better than god – MAGIC – becomes the new Sorcerer Supreme after successfully wielding the Eye of Agamoto to annoy the shit out of a timeless entity (Dormamu) until a bargain is struck that makes Dormamu go away and wish he'd never met Strange. Unfortunately, the misunderstood and misled Kaicilius had to die. Sad. And there's a black wizard running around killing other wizards.

OH AND BY THE WAY. The X-Men went viral went someone from Xavier's accidentally uploaded their mutant-filled mansion birthday bash to all of their social media accounts. And that's how mutants were outed. There was a press conference a week later that saw the President of the US bumble his way through an attempt to educate the general populace about the X-Gene. 2016 got even better. Three months after mutants are outed, the UN draws up the Registration Act. The Registration Act requires any and every being, whether human or not, that has any kind of powers or special abilities or special equipment to register with their local government, to then be uploaded into an international database. Unlike with the Sokovia Accords, this didn't apply only to people that wanted to fight crime and be heroes. Have powers, must register. Unfortunately, the fine-print decrees that non-human beings have absolutely zero constitutional rights and any being deemed too dangerous or powerful would be labeled a WMD (weapon of mass destruction) and considered property of their respective government. AND THEN ALONG CAME SENTINEL SERVICES.

2017: Stuff is happening in space, but now it's here too! Nobody on earth knows why mysterious blue goop started bubbling up and swallowing things and it's impossible to analyze. To be discussed later. Spider-Man is still around and now he thinks he's the shit because he has a teched-out suit and he went toe-to-toe against Falcon and Winter Soldier and Ant-Man and won. But let's not talk about how Cap handed his ass to him. He manages to take down Vulture, a notorious arms dealer, but he's just doing friendly neighborhood Spider-Man stuff. Nothing to see here. The real action is in space! Hulk finds Thor, they fight, they laugh, they instigate a revolution led by a pile of talking rocks, the Kronan called Korg (please, take a pamphlet). But why is Thor on the slave planet of Sakaar? Because his big sister that makes him look like the adopted one is back now that dad's dead, and she wants the world. Thor can't beat her so he saves his people and releases Surtur, who destroys all of Asgard. Ragnarok, bitches.

2018: Deep in the heart of Africa, Wakanda is being better than the rest of the world and M'Baku is being fine as hell. They've got their shit going on, but it doesn't matter to the storyline because nobody in the story would know about it. There's also an alien coming but... hey. Who cares. Thor's ship has landed but he's nowhere to be seen -- just Loki (disguised as Thor), the last Valkyrie, Heimdall, Bruce Banner, and a shit ton of refugees. Tony Stark and Black Panther pooled their wealth to buy a large piece of land in rural New York that Asgardians could settle until they figured out a more permanent solution.

And because there's so much going on in the MCU tv shows, rather than put them all in the timeline, here's this:

    • Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Season 1 (2013)
    • Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Season 2 (2014)
    • Agent Carter – Season 1 (2015)
    • Daredevil – Season 1 (2015)
    • Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Season 3 (2015)
    • Jessica Jones – Season 1 (2015)
    • Agent Carter – Season 2 (2016)
    • Daredevil – Season 2 (2016)
    • Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Season 4 (2016)
    • Luke Cage – Season 1 (2016)
    • Iron Fist - Season 1 (2017)
    • The Defenders – Season 1 (2017)
    • Inhumans – Season 1 (2017)
    • The Punisher – Season 1 (2017)
    • Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Season 5 (2018)

  • Alright, so you've read the timeline and you're wondering what's going on with the supers. I get it. Well, here you go!

SHIELD: Currently a super secret organization (more than before) back from the future and trying to change it. Operating out of an underground bunker. Nick Fury is alive, but he's on a beach somewhere enjoying a mojito.

AVENGERS: Team Cap (Captain America, Ant-Man, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Hawkeye, White Wolf, Bruce Banner) is in hiding and are considered war criminals. Team Stark (Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Vision, & Iron Patriot) are out enjoying their lives as superheroes, doing whatever they want. Natasha once sided with Tony, but then switched to Cap, and is now in the wind as a blonde just doing her own thing. T'Challa is on T'Challa's side and he has a kingdom to run. Fuck the Avengers.

TRASK INDUSTRIES: A private (secretly funded by the government) corporation that poses as a pharmaceutical company. It was founded in the late 1930s and since then they've done everything they can to get their hands on any kind of super they possibly can. They engage in experiments that violate all kinds of laws of humanity, and their goals are often unclear. They view humans as superior and everything else as lesser beings to be manipulated and harnessed as tools, weapons, toys, and whatever they deem fit. They are ruthless and uncaring.

SENTINEL SERVICES: In 2016, when mutants "came out", many politicians that'd been previously unaware of their existence demanded that there be a branch of law enforcement dedicated solely to capturing, subduing, and imprisoning "rogue" mutants. Sentinel Services has been around for two years, but they're already showing signs of being corrupt; they have a nasty habit of capturing innocent mutants, charging them with the crime of existing. But nobody says anything because it's hard to prove when you've got the government at your back. Rumors are that they sometimes supply Trask with mutants.

WATCHDOGS: They're a bunch of fucking assholes. Most of them are former military, but they've got a stick up their ass about supers. They don't mind humans genetically enhanced by steroids and experiments and cybernetics too much, but they hold a special hatred for Inhumans and Mutants. The Watchdogs are a milita that rolls around kidnapping supers with all the skill of a black ops team. They then either torture and kill them or sell them to places like Trask Industries. The government doesn't really seem to care.

X-MEN: They are a barely-elite group of mutants that specialize in protecting mutants from humans, humans from mutants, and everyone from the Brotherhood. Most of them are under 21 and former students of Xavier's. They don't have too much to do besides search and rescue since the Brotherhood ghosted them. Unlike the Avengers, they don't like the spotlight. You won't see them doing television interviews or anything; they get their job done and they leave.

BROTHERHOOD OF MUTANTS: They really can't stand humans, and who can blame them. Most of them suffered greatly at the hands of humans and turned to the bosom of the Brotherhood for safehaven. They believe the world would be better off without humans and have, on many occasions, attempted to make humans aware of mutantkind, only to be thwarted by the X-Men. They disappeared from everyone's radar in 2015.

MUTANTS: Mutants are also called Homo Sapien Superior. Many papers have been written on them and the X-Gene has been studied extensively, although the government is keen on keeping this information under wraps. Mutants were once considered myths, though they aren't rare at all. Before, Xavier's and the Brotherhood were quick at snapping up budding young mutants before they could be discovered by humans. They lived a life of secrecy, hiding what their genes made them capable of. But, after the Brotherhood disappeared, they came out. Not because they wanted to, though (refer to 2016 on timeline). They still try to remain secretive, but more and more feel emboldened enough to be out as they are.

INHUMANS: Inhumans were even more secret than mutants once upon a time. Nobody even knew they were a possibility. But, after water supplies and a large amount of fish oil vitamins were contaminated with Terrigen Mist, people with Inhuman genes began to go through Terrigenesis all over the world. SHIELD recruited many, some decided to just hide, and others were kidnapped... And then you have the bloodline of the OG Inhumans. After their home was overtaken, the Inhumans that have been living on the moon migrated to Earth and were granted a large piece of land in Hawaii to restart their kingdom anew. But not all people of Attilan trust their royal family to break away from the oppressive and degrading caste system that started the coup in the first place; and can they really trust humans, especially from the government?

SORCERERS: They have magic. Some inherited, others learned it. They keep to themselves and guard the world from the supernatural.

ENHANCED HUMANS: They come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Their powers were obtained in many different ways -- blessed by some deity or cosmic entity, getting struck by lighting during a blue moon, getting bit by a radioactive raven -- but the majority of them are the subjects of illicit, unethical, and often illegal experiments conducted by either the government or private corporations.

AESIR & VANIR: Asgard was home to many Aesir and Vanir, though both are often mistake as Asgardians (it's wrong because Asgardian isn't a species, it's more of a nationality). They look like humans but they can lift up to 2 tons, weigh thousands of pounds, can punch Hulk through five buildings, have an immense amount of stamina, and are incredibly durable. Not because they are all warriors, but just because it's how they're designed. They're currently refugees in upstate New York.

ALIENS: I won't even try to list them all, to be honest.

RELATIONSHIPS

Rosita Bianchi || "Rosita reminds me of the girls I worked with, back at Lolita's. She's sharp as a tack, that girl, and has a hell of a tongue, but she's smart, too and anyone who cares about what they believe in the way she does is alright with me. Even if she rubs most people the wrong way, Rosie's alright by me."

Colleen Hoang || "Colleen is a whole lot. I dunno how else to describe her, cause that girl's both sides of the coin at once, sometimes. But she's sweet as hell and I don't doubt she'd do anything for a friend. Still, she strikes me as the sort who cares a little too much... and it's gonna get her hurt, some day."

Robert Valentine || "Funny how Robbie can be the most real... and least real person I've ever met, at the same time. The guy is a douche, but he means to be, and there's something about him that makes me so mad he's basically a walking bar tab. Maybe it's cause he reminds me of ... No. It's not that. Nevermind."

Edmund Finn || "I've always wondered what it would be like to meet a human pet rock. I get the feeling there's more to Ender than meet the eye, but I'm not sure it's worth delving into. The guy needs to let go a little... get out more."

Elijah Reynard || "Eli is what I call a fifty-percenter. Fifty-percent of the time you wanna take the kid out for ice cream. The other fifty-percent, you wanna kick him in the crotch. Either way, he's better than people give him credit for, and he knows what he's doing out there. Still, he needs to be careful, or he's gonna rub someone the wrong way, one of these days, who isn't gonna hold back. And he's got a pretty face, it'd be a shame to see it all broken up."

Kelsey Vance || "If there was anyone on the team I trust not to screw up in a big way, it's probably Kelsey. She's focused, and that's important. That person I mentioned, who might break Eli's pretty face, though? Hm..."

Adam Masters || "He's easy to look at, but I've been around one too many businessmen to trust this guy. He might seem nice, hell... maybe he is, but suits and ties and that shark-stare put me on edge in ways I'm not tryin' to remember."

Alison McPherson || "Alison reminds me a lot of Rosita, probably cause their personalities are pretty close. She's nice enough, and has a charm about her that sometimes makes me question if the sarcasm is a front... But I like her alright. Her photography is incredible, though I feel like she's wasted on that hack of a paper."

(These are meant to be a WIP... I'm willing to add more to them if anyone has thoughts on actual connections/history! Just lemme know !)
KNOWN EVENTS

Penny Rigel never met her father. With men in and out of her wayward mother's life from the start, she caught on fairly young that people were just unreliable as a whole. By fifteen, she had outgrown the inconsistency, and taking off, Penny set out on her own. It was a good notion... one that tanked almost immediately. Within weeks of leaving home, she was broke, homeless and utterly lost, scraping by on coins she earned with stolen dance routines.

She was everything a man like Keller Gowen could take full advantage of. A predator of the worst kind, Gowen picked Penny up out of the gutter and put her to work in his club, Lolita, a seedy, less than ethical establishment in the depths of Hell's Kitchen. For the next three years of her life, Penny was put through the unimaginable. It was a small twist of fate - or rather the twist of an angry business associates knife in Keller Gowen's gut - that cut her free of her ties, and with a blank slate, she turned in a different direction.

Scraping together what she could to survive, Penny found herself a job as a dishwasher in a run-down diner and for the next two years she labored there. While she wasn't working, she effectively lived at the public library, devouring book after book. She taught herself everything she could think to learn, and while little of it panned out, for the first time in her life Penny discovered a talent for something that she didn't have to borrow... A genuine, human talent. Pastry was the name of the game, and starting with only a few piping bags, one pan and working out of the ovens in the diner after her shift, she managed to build a ramshackle business selling gourmet cupcakes to interested parties.

For a while, life was good...

Then the world fell apart. The world fell apart, and suddenly cupcakes weren't such a hot commodity. With secret agencies falling out of the sky, and men in Devil costumes running around her streets, pastry became an afterthought. It was a last minute decision, leaving New York, and one she might've taken back if she'd known what it would lead to. A hijacked plane and nowhere left to go, Penny was exposed to an entirely different talent... Surviving.

But with the crash, with those few weeks in the wilderness of the Rockies, Penny found something else, too - a camaraderie she had never anticipated. And eventually, it was this camaraderie that led her down another new path. The Madcaps... it was a crap name, and probably a crap job... But someone had to do it.

So here we are, at the start of it all... The Madcaps is a real, functioning (well... semi-functioning) league of super...whatever they are.

What could go wrong?
PLOT LINES

If life were a text book, mine would be math... cause I just don't understand it...
Daddy Issues | Eventually wanna explore the idea of Penny figuring out who her father is. (dun dun duuuun)

Who is Nate Stengal? | His name appears in three places in Temperance's life. A journal entry that reads, simply "I miss the hell out of you, Nate", an obituary clipping from the New York Gazette tucked into a shoebox of her personal items, and a tattoo of the initials, NS, just behind Penny's left ear.

MORE TO COME!
NOTES

Penny speaks and understands Spanish, nearly fluently, something she learned while working as a dishwasher for several years.

Also, it's not a superpower... but no one... absolutely no one... can make a souffle the way this girl does.

And while Penny knows little of her father's identity, the only thing her mother ever spoke of was that he was a highly gifted man (!)

Penny hasn't told anyone about her past at Lolita's or much of her life in Hell's Kitchen - as far as the Madcaps goes, they know that she worked as a baker and that's about the whole of it.

•SISTER•NATURE•

Public Knowledge
Her past: The Bianchis are infamous. Talia, her mother, is a lead weapons designer for Hammer Industries. Edgar, her father, is a geneticist for Trask. Her brother Francisco is a human rights lawyer with an emphasis on human. Dmitria, her sister, was a SHIELD agent, though is suspected to have had ties to HYDRA. She has told her fellow Madcaps that she cut ties with them after she started attending Xavier's, though she left the details very murky.

Her skills: Rosita rarely divulges the true nature and full extent of her powers -- government officials believe that her ability is to manipulate electricity and the Madcaps think that she's limited to basic elements of nature: electricity, plants, earth, fire, water, and air. The only person who knows the range of her mutation is Adam. However, she's made no secret about her other, more practical skills.

Relationships

Colleen: Rosita appreciates Colleen's friendship and is endlessly amused by the other's creative way of wording things. She would go so far as to saying that Colleen is a far better wordsmith than even she is. Between their love of embellished vocabulary and the moods that seem to change with the tides, it's hardly a surprise that they get along so well. Rosita sees Colleen as the sister she always wanted.

Penny: The truth is that Rosita has a little crush on Penny. Just a little one. Rosita admires her strength and independence. And her delicious food. Rosita is always more than happy to sprout some fresh herbs and veggies for Penny to use in her cooking as long as it means she gets a second and third plate. She respects Penny's desire to keep her heart far from her sleeve, knowing all too well how it feels to not want anyone getting too close. But that doesn't mean that she won't try to slowly crack the walls Penny's built up to show her that she has a friend in Ro.

Allison: Rosita initially thought Allison's perky nature was kind of annoying, but the other woman eventually grew on her and she's come to appreciate the shrinking woman's optimism. In a group that's divided between the cynical and the realists, it's a breath of fresh air to have Allison around. The truth is, Ro isn't quite sure how well they'd all fare if Allison wasn't there to be a sort of mediator. She makes a lot of sense and has a well-composed delivery. Ro respects that. She also respects that Allison, despite coming off as the kind of woman that would stand there and scream if someone mugged her, can kick some serious ass.

Kelsey: The truth is, Rosita isn't always quite sure how to feel about Kelsey. The other female seems to have a very strong idea of how a moral compass is supposed to work and be followed, while Rosita sees morality quite differently. Rosita can practically feel Kelsey rolling her eyes everyt time Ro opens her mouth to say something. While she doesn't appreciate people assuming that she's snobby, she does understand where the assumptions stem from. Even so, Ro does respect Kelsey's strength and conviction. Plus, Ro gives mad props for the fact that Kelsey can turn into a goddamn dragon.

Adam: Rosita knows Adam from back in the day. Their parents mingled at their classy events and the two had bumped into each other a few times when the adults made the children go away. They were reunited on that fateful flight where they spent their time catching up a bit and getting officially acquainted since their past interactions had been brief. Rosita trusts Adam more than anyone else in the group and is prone to bantering playfully with him. When it comes to needing comfort she's more likely to turn to him before anyone else. She was surprised to find out that he's a mutant too, but it was a pleasant surprise. Her crush on him is hardly a secret, but she happily pretends that her flirting is all in good fun between two close friends. After all, nothing sours team spirit more than relationship issues.

Ender: He annoys the shit out of Rosita. His power is cool, but his attitude makes Rosita want to smash her head against a tree trunk. Repeatedly. As someone who is very passionate in her beliefs -- and with her main belief being that their group can make a difference, his gloomy cynicism makes her want to punch him sometimes.

Robbie: Ro actually really likes Robbie. And not because he's on par with Adam as far as attractiveness goes, though undoubtedly more rugged. Rosita doesn't pity him, but she does sympathize for the pain that his mutation causes him. The very thought of having the ability to do something extraordinary only be caused pain by it breaks her heart. She doesn't judge him for his excessive alcohol usage, nor does she care too much about his criminal past -- pot, kettle, right?. She appreciates that someone as flighty as him decided to stick with the team for so long. Truth be told, even if he wasn't an asset, even if he was just tagging along for free food and shelter, she wouldn't care. Secretly, Ro hopes to put her knowledge to good use in finding a way to help dull his pain without needing to become inebriated, or maybe even to be able to control his abilities so that it's not painful. Maybe those are just dreams though.

Elijah: He's cute and he knows how to throw a punch, that much she's seen. But he's also incredibly annoying to her and sometimes she wants to chop him in his throat. The simple truth is that, out of everyone on the team, she trusts Elijah the least. She trusts him about as far as she can throw him. Rosita has a bad track record with humans and government organizations, so the idea of accepting him is still something that makes her crinkle her nose. After it came out that SHIELD had been infiltrated by HYDRA she began to trust him even less. Honestly, she's just baffled as to why he's even there, wondering why he would bother caring so much about what happens to a bunch of powered freaks. Her deepest fear is that he's spying on them.

  • Rosita Bianchi:
"She's a good friend. We both came from money, and we actually met a couple times when we were younger since our families hung out in the same, high society crowd. While we didn't associate too much back then, it was a pleasant surprise meeting her again years later, even if it was under unfortunate circumstances. The time we spent in the mountains, at our group vacations, and together throughout the years have taught me a lot about her. She might not be everyone's cup of tea, but she's not a bad person. In fact, she's pretty special."

    Colleen Hoang:
"Colleen is a handful. For the most part, If I have to talk to her, I'll have a clone do it. Her personality varies so much I never really know what to say to her. Outside of that, she seems alright. Her abilities are unique. I mean, floating hands. That is something you don't see everyday."

    Robert Valentine:
"In a way, I feel bad for the man. He always seems in pain, and If drinking is what takes his mind of it, then so be it. I gave him a case of cigars once as a gift. I don't know if he smoked them though."

    Edmund Finn:
Of all the members of the Madcaps, I know Edmund the least. Our conversations seem quite boring, and that's putting it nicely. I'd like to believe he's got some terrible secret or incredible story he keeps to himself, and he's just waiting for the time to tell it. Unfortunately I have no idea how I'd get that out of him."

    Elijah Reynard:
"Elijah is an odd man. In truth, I don't quite know what to think of him quite yet, as we've only had a few interactions. His abilities are quite unique, and I feel like we could be good friends, given time."

    Kelsey Vance:
"I've never had issues with Kelsey. If anything, I feel like we get along quite well. I keep on her good side because I'm aware she's essentially a dragon, but its not something I find myself having to actively do. It's quite nice having her as a member of our team. After all, who wants to fight a dragon?"

    Allison McPherson:
"Outside of abilities, Allison seems like one of the normal members of the Madcaps. The first time I saw her shrink I almost mistook her for one of my cigars. That was an interesting experience. At the end of the day, It's a cool person with a cool ability."

    Temperance Rigel:
"A beautiful woman, I feel as if we've never really had an actual conversation that was more than surface level. She seems to have had a rough past, and something tells me that's part of why our talks never get anywhere. If anything, she seems to speak more through her baking, which is quite phenomenal."

Hidden in different sections of his journal are various pieces of poorly ripped notebook paper worn from being held often. Coffee stains litter a few of the slips of paper while some have doodles in the free margins. Despite the obvious use, they seem well taken care of.

    The Madcaps
The first and easiest paper found, stuck between the fourth and fifth page. It's a fairly new, only a few weeks old and unstained.

Let's do a headcount. A woman i'm pretty sure is some nature goddess, a genius man with mind fuckery, a dragon lady, a woman who can shrink to the size of a tic tac, a few copies of the same man, an ex-SHIELD agent with emotion fuckery, a man who can literally make your worst nightmare come true, a woman who can copy your every move, and a girl with weird killer gloves. I bet everyone is expecting some heroic story about how we formed, but I think I slept through it if we actually have one?

We really don't know what we're doing.

Wait, do we get uniforms? I call pink.

Below the paragraph is eight crudely drawn hero costume colored in different colors; dark red, fuchsia, hazard yellow, olive green, sunset orange, lavender purple, red, and deep blue.

    Colleen Hoang
The second to be find in Eli's Notebook between the ninth and tenth page which are both filled with rough sketches of motel signs from all across the country. Not the oldest paper in the bunch yet the worn ink suggests it's a few years old. Some of the ink is faded and some of it is new.

I think I first liked her simply for the fact that she's human. No powers, no training, only those weird floating gloves. Brave but reckless, but then again I have no room to judge. Over the years, I figured out that shes... spontaneous? Prone to mood swings and gives off loud emotions every time I get close to touching her. Either way, I feel like we could be great friends or perhaps just partners in crime. I should avoid touching her, too many feelings and I think she'd slap me. Chatty Kathy (Chatty Colleen?)

    Robert Valentine
The third of the slips of paper to be found - loosely tucked somewhere between page seventeen and eighteen. In the margins, hastily written in pencil, seem to be various brands of alcohol, but the reason why remains unknown. Some of the writing has been written on the paper behind the paper. It seems to be one of the oldest in the bunch, likely having been written not long after their first biannual meeting yet has been obviously changed throughout the years through the use of whiteout.

I'm pretty sure he's almost always drunk or drinking. I can understand the need though. My empathy couldn't turn off at one point and I always felt emotions that weren't mind. I got lucky with the touch thing, he didn't. Other than that? He's too stubborn for his own good or just stubborn enough (I haven't figured that out quite yet). Honestly, he reminds me of myself but with less ego and more alcohol. He's alright to touch, I think. Drunk people's emotions and memories are always too muddled to read. He seems resourceful and has a good mind... He really does remind me of Nicholas.

    Edmund Finn
Fourth to be found in between the twenty-fifth and twenty-seventh (twenty-six seemed to have been torn out rather roughly as if in anger). The margins remain bare save for some illegible words that might be in some foreign language or just gibberish. This is one of the few slips of paper that seem to be held less but has an old coffee stain on one of the corners, letting it be known that it is at least a few months old.

We get along like salt and pepper. He's too different from me, but our powers would go great together. Ender is, well, passive and calm. Despite not getting along all too well, I would rather spend time around him. I once touched him by accident and I felt... nothing. No emotions and no memories, like a barrier between my mind and his. I nearly fell to the ground and thanked every god, even Thor, for this. He would be a fun one to tease and flirt with, never being able to know his emotional responses, but he doesn't give much of an outwardly reaction. Sad times.

    Temperance Rigel
Paired with another slip paper, this was found stuck between the thirty-third page and the thirty-fourth. Lined with lightly drawn waffles smudged from fingers over the years, this one also is stained with coffee and smells faintly of flour as if written in a kitchen or bakery. Aside from a sentence covered in white out nothing was changed from when it was originally written.

Pretty girl with a lot of trust issues. I'm not quite sure what to think of her just yet. She's a strong, independent woman but why the lack of trust? I'm curious but not enough to search through her emotions or memories. I may be a dick, but I'm not that much of a dick. But if the whole super hero thing falls through, that girl should open a bakery. Honestly, best food I've ever had. My mother's probably turning in her grave at me saying that. I wonder if she bakes good waffles?

    Kelsey Vance
Paired with the slip of paper before, this was found alongside that one. The bottom of the paper is covered in cartoon flames that seemed to have been drawn prior to being torn out. The paper was almost ripped in half at one point but hastily taped back together. This one, aside from the rip, seems untouched in comparison to the others.

If there was one person in this entire group that I was sure would set me on fire and actually could... I avoid Kelsey for the most part, but can't help the flirting and sarcasm that's occasionally is sent her way. I think it might be a bit too fun to try and tease the dragon out of her. I might have a death wish. No matter what, I don't think I would ever touch her. She pulls away every time I come too close. As I've said before, I'm a dick but not that much of one.

    Adam Masters
The next paper found somewhere between page fifty and fifty-one. The back of the slip of paper has the phone number, address, PO box, and logo of Adam's company building in New York. It seems to have been written quite some time ago, probably when the group first met. There's a ring stain of coffee as if placed under the mug and on one side there is an obvious indention as if held like that for quite some time.

I don't quite know what to think of Adam. Smart and successful, sure. Attractive, yeah. The cloning thing though... That freaks me out. Back when my powers were still knew, I met two of him at once. That was weird, but what really freaked me out is the different emotions the two expressed. It was confusing and... I'd rather not repeat that experience. Good guy, but I don't think I've seen a dark side to him yet. He owns a cigar company, right? And he's made of smoke? That's... I love irony.

    Alison McPherson
The second to last piece of paper found and perhaps the hardest to find, held between page one hundred and one hundred and one. Slightly torn near one of the corners this slip seems the most well worn out of all others but is remarkably stainless. A sentence has been whited out at the very top and the picture that was drawn (something resembling a tiny woman or maybe an ant?) is faded and smudged.

She's like me, but not an asshole. When I first got my powers and went to the biannual meetings, she was one of the three I stuck near. She was simply a positive woman and there was no anger or boredom or any other negative emotions for the most part. I guess it's a habit to gravitate towards her or one of the other two when everyone else seems to be emotional. She can shrink and change her weight, right? I wonder what it's like to see the world when you're so small.

    Rosita Bianchi
The last yet second easiest to find, caught between the final page and the back cover. This slip of paper is mostly untouched, but has drawings and doodles here and there, especially along the backside. Probably remained untouched out of fear of smudging it like the rest. This also seems to be newer, but one can't quite tell.

When I first met her, I knew me and her would either get along like a forest and fire or like a kiwi bird and flying. Rosita can come off as a bit of a snob at times, but I don't think she means to for what it's worth. She actually hard to read, but he wouldn't dare touch her. Not only would she throw him off a cliff, but that would be a massive invasion of privacy. She went to Xavier's school, right? Maybe she met Nicholas there since he was a mutant. I wonder what it's like there, and I also wonder why she didn't join the X-Men

  • Group S (for suicidal): A (loosely defined) group of idealistic, self-destructive, psychologically troubled enhanced individuals that while together both gradually resolves each other's issues and enable each other to greater lengths of stupidity. Unfortunate. Dysfunctional. Unreasonable at times. In severe need of help. I can only do my best to keep them alive and protect them from themselves.

    [fieldbox="Rosita Bianchi, gray, solid"]Aristocratic. Head-strong. Driven.

Notes: As much as she tries to distance herself from her family, they define her. From the way she talks and acts to her effort to become the absolute opposite of what they are, and prove that they do not define her. Her overly dramatic nature is a side effect of being raised in such a high profile household, as much as her constant and excessive remarks a defense mechanism. She has good enough intention, although biased when it comes to any political topic.

Conclusion: Independent. Reliable. Somewhat predictable. Minimal need of watching over.[/fieldbox]
    [fieldbox="Colleen Hoang, gray, solid"]
Strange. Moody. Complete lack of restraint.

Notes: She is literally a child. I can't comprehend it. Her lack of restraint is baffling. Prone to random shifts in interest and whims, and way too curious for her own sake. The environment she'd been exposed to is woefully unsuitable for someone without any instinct of self-preservation like her. One of these days she's going to kill herself, or worse. I'd advice her to stay away from this dangerous side of the world and put those artifacts away, but I know she wouldn't listen to me.

Conclusion: CONSTANT SUPERVISION. DO NOT LET HER OUT OF SIGHT.[/fieldbox]
    [fieldbox="Temperance Rigel, gray, solid"]
    Defensive. Distrustful. Disciplined.

Notes: She always wears a mask. It's not a very good one. A harder look and her mannerisms scream tragedy and victim of bad fortune. Very independent and adapt at improvising. Probably taught herself most of what she knows too. Clearly lacked a parental or any authoritative figure as a child, from the way she resist anything that remotely resembles a command. Extremely difficult to reach. Getting her to open up might not even be worth it. Keeping her and the rest alive is hard enough.

Conclusion: Can fend for herself. Minimal need of supervision, probably the least among the group.[/fieldbox]
    [fieldbox="Elijah Reynard, gray, solid"]
    Reckless. Idealist. Inexperienced. Troubled.

Notes: A good kid, but with a severe abandonment issue, leading to serious self-destructive tendencies and a desperate need for approval. Defense and coping mechanism includes excessive sarcasm, attention-seeking, flirting, and overall strained attempts at appearing to be "cool". Lacking restraint and easily manipulated. He's a good kid, but he tries too hard. The shell he built around himself's toxic to both him and the people around him. I'd try to help, but I'm no therapist. The group's having a gradual but promising effect on him. Hopefully he'll get better before he kills himself.

Conclusion: Close supervision. Perhaps even intervention in extreme cases. Worrying.
    [/fieldbox]
    [fieldbox="Kelsey Vance, gray, solid"]
    Hot-headed. Morally inflexible. Tragedy.

Notes: I can see how damaged Kel is under the toughness she uses as a shield. Severe, nearly debilitating mother issue, naive in some aspects but overly distrustful in others. I can feel her scars, and the walls she built to keep memories and people away. She treats anything unfamiliar like fire because she was burned once, testing with quick movements and immediately pulling back at the first sign of anything going wrong. She lives her life tip-toeing around the tragedy and finding distractions instead of facing it. I cannot fault her for living that way. I pity her. I know the last thing she'd want from anyone is pity, but what else can one feel in the face of such misfortune?
Today, I saw a glimpse of the memory she had locked away. It was unintentional, her pain screamed out to me and I touched it without thinking. I think that hurt her, my action a violation of sort. I regret it still. Sometimes in her presence, my hubris whispers to me that I can fix her, break down her walls and make her whole again. But it would not have been her choice, and that was all that mattered. You cannot fix a scar by adding another.
There is not much I can offer her but distraction, and a silence that's free of thoughts and judgements.
    [/fieldbox]
    [fieldbox="Allison McPherson, gray, solid"]
    Unassuming. Practical. Normal (?).

Notes: She is the least worrying of the bunch. She has a good head on her shoulder, reasonably experienced, good at adapting, and overall reliable. She very much takes after her mother. I'm not sure if that's at all a good thing.

    Conclusion: Safe. Predictable. Self-sufficient.
    [/fieldbox]
    [fieldbox="Robert Valentine, gray, solid"]
    Self-destructive. Reckless. Irresponsible.

Notes: His mind has always been his greatest asset and his worst enemy. He resents it and blames it for the way his life had turned out. His ability and the coma had distanced him enough from reality and other people that instead of trying to reconnect, he chooses to dull his senses so he doesn't have to deal with his problems. Obvious signs of parental issues, deep fear of betrayal, and complete lack of self-control. He's so afraid of other people's thought he boxed himself in with his own. Reasonable enough when he's intoxicated, miserable when he's not. He is his own worst enemy.

Conclusion: Requires substantial supervision. Therapy's probably completely useless unless we can bring in Xavier somehow.
    [/fieldbox]
    [fieldbox="Adam Masters, gray, solid"]
    Ambitious. Tricky. Smart. Morally flexible.

Notes: He likes to think of himself as one person, but he is a collection of individuals connected by his ability and the shared past memories with diverging lives. His biology, while extraordinary, has slowly removed him from certain aspects of humanity over the years. His empathy, especially for physical pain of others, has dwindled. He is also proned to inconsistent emotional reaction depending on which "clone" is concurrent.

Conclusion: Serious threat of developing DID. Disregard for financial impact. Psychologically unpredictable. I don't see a solution to this.
    [/fieldbox]

Allison sat down to her laptop one night after a particularly fun get together with the other Madcaps. If it wasn't for this group Allison would be the first to admit that she would have no life outside of work. The people at work had no real clue about her powers, and most of them were in their own world. Allison didn't even have a cat anymore. She had one for a while named Merlin, but when she acquired her powers her parents begged her to get rid of him. They were afraid that somehow her powers would activate at the wrong time around Merlin, and explaining how Allison was killed by her cat could get awkward. However, with The Madcaps Allison didn't see herself as just another group member, but as part of a family that she loved.

Allison sipped a cup of tea and then began to type:

This evening was a blast on so many levels. I really am so blessed to be with this team, but I know that there a certain risks involved in what we do and who we are, so in case something does happen I want you to know how I feel about you.

Rosita: Very few people can keep up with me in the sarcasm department, and are as outspoken as me when it comes to what you believe in, but you are and so much more. Without a doubt you're the sister that I never got to have. Mom was pregnant with another baby not long after I was born, but ovarian cancer took care of that and any other future siblings, so I view you as my sister. I also admire that you're willing to do what is right even if you stand alone. With me around though I will always have your back
. (@Small Foxx )

Colleen: If Forrest Gump's mom was right in that "life is like a box of chocolates" you are certainly the personification of that statement. There are times I have no idea what to expect from you from one moment to the next, so at times I have tried not to let my sarcasm overwhelm you. However, you are as loyal as they come and I am truly humbled to call you my friend. One thing is for certain, life with you is never boring and I admire your sense of commitment to whatever you do. I am glad you're a part of my life. (@Shizuochan )

Robert: Not a big fan of the moody tough guy routine in most people, but for you it's not a routine and it works for you. I wouldn't try to change you to get you to lighten up because it has gotten you this far in life, so if it ain't broke don't fix it. Although on more than one occasion I have seen your wit on display and I gotta admit you got a good one about you. Not to mention your self-awareness is a strength so don't let anyone change you. If they do I won't be afraid to communicate my displeasure with them...with a solid right hook. (@Bears )

Edmund: I don't think you realize this but we've seen each other a couple of times at City Hall. You worked a floor below my mom's office. I'll be the first to admit your "strong silent" persona can take a little getting used to, but you've taught me some valuable lessons. First, not every moment of every day needs to be filled with sound. That enjoying peace and quiet is a good thing, and you've actually been an influence on my work and as a result I've taken some of my best photos so far. Thank you. (@Jays )

Elijah: If Rosita is my sister than you are definitely my brother. Your eccentric nature has taught me to live life on my terms and not on anyone else's. You have taught me, more than anyone else, that my powers have a value even when others would roll their eyes and scoff at them. You can be arrogant and as sarcastic as me, but you know what...I don't care. Your arrogance is born of a strong sense of who you are and I can respect that. (@CallMeCrimson )

Temperance: You have a strong will about you that is a strength born out of a life that has been far from easy. You've taught me to harness my competitive drive into helping others. When I saw how someone who comes off as, for lack of a better term, a "tough chic" was willing to help others after the crash that is what spurred me into action. Yes, you were the one who inspired me to reveal my powers. I like to think that maybe I will get to know you a little better, but for now I'll take what I can get. (@Elle Joyner )

Kelsey: Every group has that one member that you don't wanna piss off, and we have some tempers in this one, but you are in a league of your own! I made a couple of remarks in the beginning and I wasn't sure how you took them so I stopped. You have a strong sense of right and wrong and that is a gift. In a world where most people think having gray areas is cool you stand out for being who you are with no apologies. I realize that you and I may never be as close as others in the group are to each other, but I do consider you a friend and I always back up my friends. (@Cosmic Penguin )

Adam: You are one of the most unique individuals I have ever known. You have an incredible work ethic and you are one of the smartest guys I have ever known you bring the spice to this little stew of ours. Although I am still a bit shaken about the time you reached for one of your cigars and you started to grab me. Sorry I screamed so loud, but if I am not ready for it seeing someone's hand coming towards me and trying to grab me can be a bit unsettling to say the least. That'll teach me to get drunk, shrink down and fall into your cigar case when no one is looking.
(@QuakeUPSB )

Allison looked at what she had typed raised her tea cup and said, "To family." She took a sip and saved her work on the hard drive as she smiled.

[tab=The Madcaps - Thoughts and Musings][/tab][tab=The Madcaps - Thoughts and Musings]Rosita Bianchi:
Ah, yeah. Rosie. She takes a little getting used to but I suppose you can say the same for everyone in this little justice brigade we have going on. She's got a mouth on her and a drive that almost makes me feel bad about my lack of. She also has some snark alongside all that privilege... I dig it.

Colleen Hoang:
Surprise, surprise. Floaty-fists can be a handful. Hah. Seriously though, Colleen is a bit of a maelstrom of energy and words when she wants to be. It's pretty entertaining to hear her drone on when your wasted but the absolute worst when your hungover. Trust me. Good kid though.

Edmund Finn:
I heard Endy here went into a coma too. Maybe we're of the same grain, maybe not but that connection is there. I'm not exactly the type of man to reach out and neither is he, so we don't speak as much as one would think of friends for six years but eh. Endy's alright.

Elijah Reynard:
Empath Eli on his own is fine. He's young and pretty quick to think of something to say and that's always fun... but if the kid thinks I'm letting him anywhere near my inner workings while I'm not drunk out of my mind he has another thing coming. My past is my past. No peeking damn it.

Temperance Rigel:
They should've named her Temper. There's friction between us, it's hardly a secret. I have my reservations about the girl but whatever reasons she may have for constantly being at ends with me is probably justified one way or the other. Hmph. No pretty face is without issue and considering Penny... well.

Kelsey Vance:
She's a fucking dragon, er... wyvern I mean. Ah fuck it--all I'm trying to say is that Vance is a badass. Seeing as we're both rather private, we have a bit of an unspoken agreement between us. She's more than happy to not pry and I drink extra when I know we will be working close so I don't hear anything that I shouldn't.

Allison McPherson:
Six inch. Like Vance she has a hell of a power and though it isn't as bluntly badass as being a dragon, it's something that sets Alli apart. She can accomplish things that no one else on the squad can and for that she has my respect. Not that I show respect for anyone outright but hey... its the thought that counts.

Adam Masters:
They were a little on the nose but I smoked the cigarettes. Beyond that Smokey has always been a little too fine around the edges for my taste. With that said, we get along just about as well as I do anyone on this team. I just don't trust a face as pretty as that. I especially don't trust a face as pretty as that when there can be multiple clones of it at the same time. [/tab]

Rosita Bianchi - If she could arch her brow any higher, I swear it'd pop right off. She reminds of Melinda, stuck up and perpetually staring down her nose at the rest of the world. Aside from her snottiness, she isn't that bad, though her chattiness is excessive. Her powers are remarkable, and I can only describe them as things a god would possess. I wouldn't be surprised if she turned out to be one-- we already have Thor, the previously though mythical thunder god, so why not a nature goddess as well?

note: I've been thinking of asking her to speak to Lisa (her cat), she's been acting very sluggish lately and the vet has no explanation...

Colleen Hoang - Another chatty one. I find myself quoting to her nearly every moment we're together, that curiosity killed the cat. She's too curious for her own good, and the only reason why I haven't roasted her yet is that it wouldn't be fair and because such a rash action would certainly result in my exclusion from the team. I'm quite fond of her abilities as they deliver endless amusement in terms of wordplay.

Robert Valentine - I don't like him and he knows this. Life is split into two halves; one good and one bad. Robert is in the bad half. I do pity him though when it comes to his powers. I can't imagine having to wrestle with all those migraines just because I set something on fire or transformed.

Edmund Finn - I enjoy his company the most and by that I mean, I enjoy standing in silence without the need to chat. His powers, however...There was an instance where he entered one of my dreams--a nightmare rather--than intertwined with a memory that I had thought was lost to me forever. We've yet to speak of this incident and I'd like to keep it that way.

Elijah Reynard - I would like to set him on fire. Not only is he absurdly irritating, but he is also dangerous. He's possibly the only one who could fill in the gaps in my memory and that terrifies me. I have to admit that sometimes I am a bit too aggressive towards him in an effort to keep him from accidentally touching me, but...For now, it's for the best.

Temperance Rigel - She is my favorite team member after Edmund. The chattier ones in the group need to take cues from Temperance and Edmund. I enjoy her baking immensely but she has ruined souffle for me as I have yet to find one that succeeds her's in bold flavor.

Allison McPherson - She can be overbearing sometimes but I admire her work ethic. Like most of the group, she's outgoing but she's not on Rosita or Elijah's level, thank god. (this is so short because in her personality, you said that Allison makes a crack at someone if she likes them, so I'll leave that up to you!~)

Adam Masters - (if the reader squints, they can see faint drawn hearts that were obviously hastily erased) I...He...I--If only he didn't smoke. Then he'd be perfect. I'm not a liar--well at least not on purpose--so I'll just come right out and say it. Adam is a handsome man and his power makes him a huge asset to the team. We even work well together, as my powers give off smoke (sometimes) that he can use.
