Adventure stories! They can be fantasy, modern, sci-fi, all kinds! Give me some good world travel stories and I'm all over it! I also enjoy romance stories and even though I tend to play females I love playing gay men.
I got inspiration from Archy's "Let's play" And figured that I'd give this a try!

For your viewing pleasure Zypher and Yoshinobu Akita, Sorcerous Stabber Orphen!

There you are! Episode one! Watch, comment, create RP spinoffs, hold me as I cry for reasons you don't get at this point!

I own the first, and second season. I was very pleased with how the story unfolded with this anime title.

This is my new time-killer...I really like the artwork so far, and the story intrigues me...Thanks Zy!

Hooray! I'll get around to putting up part two in a little bit! (Then I'll start adding comments!)

OOOOOOO! I LIKE THIS!

It ain't a Let's _____ unless there's snarky play-by-play commentary!

Ep 1 Part 1:

0:23 - OH MY 80'S. Is that a marimba I hear in this song? This is really from the late 90s/early noughties? Goin' for that retro feel with the music, perhaps...

0:28 - "Sorcerous Stabber Orphen." Dear Japan, this is why you don't try to give your shows English names from the beginning, if you have any suspicion that it might one day actually be watched by English-speaking viewers...

0:32: Bishy. Otaku. Ruffian. Ojou-sama. Comedy potential is afoot.

0:46: ;_; don't touch my sword provocatively like that, you'll cut your hand

0:50: "Music: Tsunku"?! :O As in, Tsunku the secret overlord and master puppeteer of Morning Musume? Amaaaaazing.

1:00: Here, have this sword. Take it. >_> Hey, you passed it. That's my hand... No! Don't take my arm! AAAAAAGH

1:12: This must be Mr. Stabber. Stabbing... fun.

1:20: I was kind of digging the opening song by this point. Anime OPs tend to grow on you over time...

2:15: It's Tuxedo Mask! Oh, it's just Orphen looking dramatic. How did he get up there?

2:38: EYES. So... glassy... *sprays Cleao's eyes with Windex and wipes them clean with newspaper* By the way, in case you didn't know, newspaper = best way to clean a window.

3:00: Thingy from Asmo's avatar!

3:45: "You are to address me as master. Be a good little boy." OH, THIS~

4:10: Majic's voice will take some getting used to.

4:30: Loving the spontaneous weepy electric guitar solos... manipulative riffs, for maximum emotional effect. The producers of this show know what they're doing.

5:55: It took me about three repeated views to figure out that Majic was talking about Orphen's necklace and not his chiseled neck-muscles here.

8:00: Starly! Use Quick Attack!

9:15: "I've got a ton of new cleeeewwwwthes." Cleao really picked up the valley girl accent while she was away at college.

Ep 1 Part 2:

1:10: What's this, the otaku is in collusion with Orphen? And he knows about the sword that the shady circle of magicians is after? So mysterious...

2:40 Orphen, why are you doing the Yugioh battle-pose for the commercial break? You have your own show now! No need to be Setoh Kaiba's stunt double anymore...

3:11: Princess Cleao's Castle Rules.
1. All residents must be blue-eyed blondes.
2. All paintings must be female nudes.

3:58: Majic's all ^__________^

6:00: As expected, comic relief brought to you by chibi Volcan and chibi Dortin. Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again.

7:00: We all know who your type is, Orphen. <3

8:29: Cleao's feisty! I likey.

9:30: Dramatic finale, here we come! Start the wind machine! Give us your dramatic swordsman pose, Orphen!

Ep 1 Part 3:

0:03: Explosions - check, desctruction - check, day turning to night in less than 10 seconds - check.

1:15: The Bloody August. Oh, I hope they defeat each of the 12 months over the course of this show! That would be fun

2:10: I like the dramatic still that they leave on the screen for this encounter between Orphen and this dragon-creature he calls Azalie. Pretty cool to see concept art mixed in with the show this way.

First impressions: Lots of high-quality artwork, attention to detail and attractive character design in this show, especially considering when it was made and that it's not CGI. I like the mix of seriousness with bits of levity; it seems that so many shows are entirely tongue-in-cheek nowadays. The music fits right in as well, deviously playing with your emotions and adding an epic (though some might say "sappy") feeling to the scenic shots. Thanks for sharing Zyph, I'm intrigued... Bring on Chapter 2!

Episode 2! Char will do my play by play!

First thing that happens here? Cleao starts screaming. Of course!

Oddly enough, with Episode 2, I found myself at a loss as far as silly commentary, as I started to watch this on a straightforward, non-ironic level - pretty much just enjoying the action and looking forward to the continued unfolding of the plot. Not that there aren't points that one could poke fun at, but they pretty much speak for themselves, I think. Anyway, keep 'em coming if you like! And yes, Hartia speaks for us all when he requests "An order of Orphen, for takeout." Yum.

I have to admit when I saw the title it sorta worried me.

And then I saw it was just anime.
