- Fantasy is my #1; I will give almost anything a chance if it has strong fantasy elements. Post apocalyptic, superhero, alternate history, science fantasy, some supernatural, romance, and a few fandoms (especially Game of Thrones) are also likely to catch my eye.
Greetings, various nerds of Iwaku. I saw an interesting thing on the internet somewhere when browsing things on my phone instead of doing real work, but I forgot to save it so I'm just recreating it in text form. It's one of those things where you place your entire music collection on shuffle and then do things with whatever comes up, but instead of the standard "X song is what will play at your funeral" and whatnot we're gonna do something different. We're gonna make some fucking poetry.
Throw your music on shuffle and take the first line from the first 10 songs. Put them together and see what kind of weird poem you get. Skip any songs that don't have vocals. I've tried it a few times and they've been amusing every time. The example below is my favorite of the lot.
Even in these chains, you can't stop me
All this talk of your sweet girlfriend is starting to pay off
Everything is getting worse
Midwinter wrongs the rites of Spring
Kiss me hard before you go
To the sound of a heartbeat pounding away
Next phase, next craze, next nothing new
Well, it's happening
Walking through fields of gold
To the hills, to the hills, to the hills we go
