Jezebel Morganthe, standing at 5’7 in height, pale and thin, with long light brown hair and bright purple-blue eyes with the appearance of a eighteen year old, laughed happily as the wind whipped her hair away from her face as she jumped from rooftop to rooftop of the human city not even twenty miles from the woods where her own demon city was hidden. The Lightning Demon waved as she sped past other demons hanging out, terrorizing humans or roof hopping like she was. Although they came here nightly, it was always such a rush to leave the Demonic City behind and go play in the human counterpart.

Scaring the few humans that stayed out after dark was fun, Jezebel thought, dropping to the street below, causing the pair of human girls that she landed in front of to shriek in fear before she jumped back up to the top of the next skyscraper, but she preferred roof hopping more than anything else. It gave her a chance to go fast and without having to hold back on her speed at all.

Jezebel was going so fast that her momentum nearly threw her off the building when she suddenly stopped; only years of practice stopped her from going over the edge and hitting the ground below. Not that it’d kill her, but it’d hurt like a bitch. Backing up a couple of paces, she turned to get a clearer look at what had made her stop.

It was a boy sleeping in his bedroom in the building across the street. Hopping to the window ledge, Jez pried the window open and slipped quietly into the room. She looked at the boy and silently squealed. He was kind of cute… maybe she’d take him home and make him her pet. It wasn’t so unusual; it happened from time to time and it wasn’t like the humans knew the exact location of their city. Thinking her plan over, Jezebel decided to take the human. Throwing him over her shoulder, she stopped for a moment. What if woke up? She shrugged; she’d cross that bridge when she got to it. If worse came to worse she’d knock him out. Jumping out the window, she headed back home.

With his small frame and long, silky golden hair it was a wonder that the demon had even recognized this human as a male from his face-down position on his bed. Even when his soft, pale pink face came into view, some still might not have been convinced. His bedroom was definitely that of a young man's though, barely decorated by posters featuring barbarians and undead, clothes strung out all over the floor and his dresser, his bed's sheets in a bunch under where he laid.

His torso was hidden under a black hooded sweater that gave the illusion of a slightly larger body, though when lifted it would have easily been dis-proven. Covering the rest of his body are dark blue jeans and plain white socks, a black long-sleeved shirt under his sweater. This was how he usually slept, wearing the clothes planned for the next day so he wouldn't have to bother with it in the morning when he'd rather just grab some coffee, fight with his hair for a few minutes, and pass out for another hour or so. His room-mate was never there longer than a few minutes during the day, so he didn't really have to make himself presentable so early, but he still tried simply out of habit.

Not that he could right now, seeing as he was currently being stolen away by a demon. Of course, he wasn't aware of that yet, even as the change in temperature began to wake him, despite his warm clothing. That much might have become obvious to his kidnapper as the boy's body began to shiver. Even if it wasn't that cold out, the slight chill of a passing breeze would set him to shaking. He whined quietly as his shivering became increasingly violent, so obviously used to warm weather. Moments like that gave him the appearance of a pitiful child, though this human was in fact within his few years of adulthood, twenty to be precise.

His eyelids cracked, just barely revealing a pair of teal eyes that refused to focus. Without much fight, they closed again, not even having caught one glimpse of the outside world that was so obviously not his bedroom. It should have been obvious, at least; The unbearable cold, the feel of movement, the lack of a soft bed beneath him.. But he ignored all this, not quite ready to fully awaken. Instead he continued to sleep, whimpering again every now and then during the trip.

Jezebel ignored the curious glances directed at her and the human she was carrying as she walked into the city. The city looked a lot like the human ones, except the buildings were made of smooth stone and imbued with demon magic to keep them from being destroyed. Readjusting her grip on the boy, she placed a hand on the pad next to it and the door slid open. The homes were keyed into the magical signature of the demons who lived there, much easier and safer then those keys humans used.

Walking up to her bedroom, Jezebel placed the human on her bed. Her room was, at best described as organized chaos. The walls were a bight blue, decorated with a few pictures, a few pieces of clothing were scattered on the floor and her bookcase and desk were filled with large tomes and scrolls. Brushing his hair out of her human's face, Jez swore at the cold temperature of his skin; she'd forgotten how cold humans could get, Demons didn't get cold that easy. She placed him under the blankets. Not sure it was enough she went to grab another comforter from the hall closet just to be safe.

"Ohh, he's cute."

Jez turned to see her childhood friend and roommate Morgan, a fire demon, hovering over the boy.

"Back off, Mor, he's mine."

She pouted, "Aww, can't you share?"

Jezebel hissed, her lips pulled back exposing her sharp teeth. "No. Now back off."

Morgan looked at her in shock for a moment, but shrugged, "All right see ya later then."

Jezebel slammed the door behind her and locked it. She blinked, when was she normally so possessive? She shrugged and climbed into bed beside the human, not even bothering to change out of her black jeans and purple tank top. She was soon fast asleep, arms possessively around the boy that she had claimed as hers.

A faint smile crept across the young man's face, suddenly warm and comfortable again. Maybe not at the perfect temperature, but much closer to the one he'd grown accustomed to in his sleeping hours. The boy snuggled into Jezebel's embrace, thinking nothing more of it than how comfortable it was. For a while, at least.

With a soft, but clearly agitated sigh, the boy pried his eyelids open for the second time tonight. This time he won the little struggle. Though his vision was still a little blurry, he could easily recognize an arm, looking downward from where his head lay against the girl's chest. He turned his gaze up at the face of the person who held him, examining her face through his half-opened eyes. Looked to be a normal girl, as far as he could tell. He could have sworn he'd gone to bed alone.. But whatever. Things happen. He was too tired to care right now, anyway. Figuring the girl's presence to be natural, without any real questioning, he re-settled himself in her arms and went back to sleep.

--And then came morning, or perhaps some later point in the night. Hard to tell with erratic sleeping patterns. (Leaving that up to you, in other words. )--

He yawned quietly, curling his toes a little before lightly nudging the girl's foot with his. If he didn't remember her, chances are the two of them had been drinking a lot the night before, and while he seemed to have an amazing immunity to hangovers, others usually weren't so lucky.. Best to try waking her as gently as possible, he thought, remembering the violent reactions of some of the other girls he'd shared a bed with in the past. "Are you awake, sweetheart?.. ", he asked, cleverly avoiding use of the girl's name with a common, but cute pet-name.

Jezebel frowned slightly, pulling closer to the warm body next to her and slowly opened her eyes, looking into the face of the human she'd brought home last night. She refused to think the word 'kidnapped'. It made her sound evil or something.

"'Morning," she muttered groggily before looking at her alarm clock. With a groan she flopped back down on the bed. It was only six in the morning, much to early to be awake in her opinion.

"Go back to sleep..." she paused; she'd have to learn his name if he was going to stay here and be her pet. Her stomach growled at her. "Actually, scrap that idea, I'm hungry. And if I'm hungry, I bet you are too." She stretched, cat-like, yawning and glanced at the boy next to her. He was awfully cute when he woke up.

"I'm Jezebel," she offered, smiling at him. "Err, what's your name?"

When the girl, Jezebel asked his name, the young man felt somewhat relieved. He'd feel bad if she knew him and he couldn't think of her name. He voiced his relief through another little sigh, then just laid there and watched Jezebel for a moment. It was no wonder that he was in bed with this girl, she was a pretty little thing. Long, pretty hair.. Though not as pretty as his, he thought with a smirk so faint, it'd likely go unseen.. And absolutely gorgeous eyes. He stared into them for a long while, almost lost in them.

Eventually, he uncurled and stretched as she did. Arms raised high above his head, one hand holding the other wrist. "Mmn.. My name.. ", he said, interrupted by a sudden, long yawn, "Is Emmet. " He lowered his arms, rubbing at his eyes with the palms of his hands before opening them completely. The two little blue orbs were bright and soft, though high-lighted by dark rings. Once his eyes adapted to the light, Emmet sat upright, crossing his legs under him. From there he stared at her for a moment longer, then offered his hand, "It's a pleasure to properly meet you, miss Jezebel. And thank you for asking, but I'm not really hun-.. " Half-way through the word, his stomach interrupted with a growl similar to the girl's. It shut him up, and left him with a light blush and a nervous half-smile, gripping his ankle with his free hand.

When he introduced himself, the demon inwardly squealed; he was so polite. She'd have a fun time breaking him of that habit, she decided. Since he was going to be staying here, his politeness wouldn't last too long. Morgan could be very vulgar most of the time, and Jez was only slightly better. She chuckled. "Not hungry, huh?" She grabbed his hand and tugged him up. "Well c'mon Emmet, lets go find some food." Unlocking the door Jezebel pulled him down the hall, quickly glancing into Morgan's room. The fire demon wasn't there.

She pushed him into an empty chair at the kitchen table, "Stay," and went to go find some food they could eat. "It's a good thing Morgan's not home right now," she told him as she looked in the fridge and grabbed a couple eggs. Omelets sounded good to her right about now. "She was interested in you last night." Lighting crackled off of her and her eyes started to glow as she slammed the fridge door shut and turned to the stove, making her look more demonic then she normally did. "But you're mine and I don't share. Not with her. Not with anyone."

Little Emmet was grinning slightly all the way to the table, sitting down and remaining seated as instructed. "Yes ma'am!", he snickered. Being dragged and ordered around was different, amusing. In his experience, female dominance had never left the bedroom before. It was an interesting change.

After a quick search of his pockets, the young man found his hair brush; Pretty and golden, like the hair it groomed. After the first few strokes, Emmet tilted his head back toward Jezebel. Only when he saw the sparks flying did he begin to feel something wasn't right. Normal girls didn't do that, right? And the way she referred to him as "mine" was a little unsettling. Could be he'd went and found himself a Mistress while he was drunk, but the lightning and glowing eyes would take a little more to explain.

He quietly took a breath, turning to face the girl a little more directly. "Hey, hey.. Relax, I'm not after this friend of yours", he said, trying to calm her down a little. He had a growing feeling that it would be in his best interest to do so. "My eyes are for you, and you alone Jezebel darling.. ", he spoke in a soft, smooth voice. 'Even though I've barely known you a few minutes', he thought to himself as he smiled at the girl.

As he spoke Jez instantly relaxed. Closing her eyes, she slowly counted to ten, her powers slipping back under the surface, making her look human-like again. Sighing, she opened her eyes, "Sorry, lost my temper. Shouldn't happen again." She smiled brightly at Emmet, "Omelets okay with you?"

Going back to the stove, it was a few more minutes before she spoke again. "Did you mean that? That your eyes were only for me? Or were you just trying to keep me from blowing stuff up?"

"Of course I.. " He hesitated, staring over at Jezebel. Emmet was a terrible liar, and he knew he couldn't keep it up if he tried. Besides, it wasn't the best way to handle a relationship.. Or whatever this was. "No. I wont lie. I only said that to calm you down a little. "

He bit his lip lightly, scratching at his wrist a little. "Honestly, I don't even really know you.. I have no memory of how we got together lastnight", he almost stuttered, turning his gaze toward the floor, "I'm sorry, Jezebel. "

Jezebel blinked, "Well that's honest," she said, trying to keep a hurt look off her face. She suddenly brightened, "But if you continue saying nice things like you were before I called you out on it, I wouldn't mind even if it was just to stop me from blowing stuff up. As to how we got together last night.."

She chuckled, "Well it's simple. Me being the demon I am, just couldn't help myself. I kidnapped you."

Emmet returned his gaze to Jezebel, shaking his head a little. "From here on, I wont lie to you.. Any kind words will be genuine, I assure you", he said with the same softness in his voice from before, giving her a little smile as he continued, "And though I was untrue when saying my eyes were for you alone, I do admit that it wouldn't be so bad. You're pretty easy on them. "

And then her last few words hit him. His smile faded as he stared, fear starting to sink in. "Did you really just say.. Kidnapped?", he asked, hoping he had just heard wrong. The idea of being held captive and likely being tortured was unsettling. And what was to become of him once she'd collected ransom? Or was she even hoping to collect one? Maybe she had something darker in mind.. He swallowed hard, trying to hide the fearful tone in his voice, "What do you intend to do with me?.. "

"Yep. Kidnapped," she said as she slid the food out of the pan and onto plates. "You caught my attention while I was running, which is impressive, I might add, not many people could do that and you were across the street and asleep. Anyway, I got a closer look, thought you were cute and decided I wanted you as a pet." Jezebel caught sight of the look on Emmet's face and quickly continued. "You won't be confined to this house, though I would recommend not going into the city without me until I mark you as mine in some way."

"As for what I intend to do to you, well..." She couldn't help cackling, "A great many things, love."

Her pet? This could be very, very bad.. His eyes ran over her from top to bottom and back. Or very, very fun. Emmet smirked a little, raising a hand and running his index finger along his bottom lip slowly, without thinking about it. "Mm.. I'm beginning to think it wont be so bad.. ", he said, showing a suggestive little smirk. Before he could get too carried away by those thoughts, he shook his head again. The young man cleared his throat, speaking in a more neutral voice, "So, ah.. Why shouldn't I go out alone? Where am I, exactly?"

He raised a brow as he watched Jezebel's omelets slide onto the plates. His stomach rumbled, as though excited or impatient, but his mind was elsewhere. "Mark me as yours?.. I'm guessing you don't mean you'll be writing your name on my cheek with permanent marker", he said with a little half-hearted chuckle, both curious and nervous at the thought. "I.. Just hope I don't find another butterfly on the small of my back.. ", he groaned, lowering his head a little and pinching the bridge of his nose between his eyes, head shaking at the memory.

"No, no permanent marker. And no butterfly, although until we find a more permanent way maybe..." She snickered at the look on the human's face. "Kidding." She placed a plate in front of him. "Here. Eat. Anyway, as to where you are... You are in the Demon city of Garath." She smiled at him, "My home. You wouldn't want to go out alone because it's not exactly safe for human's without a mark to go out without their Demon. Another Demon could try and claim you as theirs; it wouldn't be pretty."

She took a bite of her food and sighed happily. Food.

Swallowing, she grinned. "Another butterfly? Is the first one still there? Can I see it?"

"I'm guessing others like yourself wouldn't be quite as friendly, mm?", he started, raising his brow, "No offense meant, but.. Demons don't exactly have a reputation for being friendly. " Emmet looked down at the food presented, tilting his head and examining it. Looked like a normal omelet, nothing strange about it, he thought as he poked the top of it with his index finger. Maybe that's all it was. Just an omelet.

If there were souls or human flesh in there, they weren't half bad. He chewed the small piece he'd ripped off, swallowing before looking back at Jezebel again. "I uh.. Had it removed", he lied. He'd meant to, but never quite got around to it. Emmet cleared his throat, "Er.. Anyway, I don't suppose hanging around would be so bad. I mean, job searching back home wasn't going so well.. Roommate's out too often to miss me. Nothing really keeping me there, that I can think of. " He became silent, just staring at the girl. After a likely awkward moment, the young man blew his hair away from his face and tore off and ate another piece of omelet.

Jezebel pouted. "Damn, I really wanted to see it." she muttered.

Eating another piece of the fluffy omelet, she shook her head. "No," she admitted, "We aren't very nice." She looked thoughtful for a minute, tapping her chin. "Actually, I'm pretty sure your city is terrified of us. Isn't there a curfew or something? I didn't poson it," she added, watching him eye the plate in front of him suspiciously. "It's just egg.

"Anyway, no we're not very nice, especially when it comes to wanting something. The last time a demon - a Shadow demon I think it was, I can't remember the name, I was quite young- tried to take a human that had already been claimed... Well there wasn't much left of him, the Shadow demon that is, after all was said and done. Word of advice, don't upset a Water demon, they're more vicious then a Fire demon when you piss them off."

"I really don't have any experience with demons, to be honest. I've only heard stories", he said after swallowing another piece, "But I generally try not to step on anyone's toes at all.. Mostly out of habit, but.. " He leaned back a little, pressing down on the front of his hoodie to tighten it against his body, "I'm actually pretty small for my age, if you hadn't noticed. I'd probably go down pretty easy."

Emmet pursed his lips, thinking for a moment before speaking again, "You say 'we', but you're not so bad, as far as I can tell. Maybe I haven't been around you long enough, but your first impression was pretty nice" He smirked a tiny bit, tearing off yet another piece, "The sparkly little light show was a little weird, but I'm guessing that's pretty normal for your kind. "

"Only for Lightning Demons; other demons do other things." She snickered, "Morgan tried it once though, it was funny."

Swallowing, Jezebel smirked, pulling her lips back, so he could see her sharp teeth. "You've managed to catch me on some of my good days." She got up and walked over to stand behind him, wrapping her arms around him, she continued, "Besides," she breathed against his cheek, "I'd hate to damage my new pet right away."

"Heh, I bet it was.. ", he said as he watched her, matching her smirk. His was admittedly much less intimidating, however. When she moved and wrapped her arms around him, Emmet forgot about his food entirely and tilted his head back toward her. "Good days, hu-.. Oh.. ", his voice trailed off when he felt Jezebel's breath against his cheek, blushing faintly.

After recovering from being caught off-guard, his smirk returned. "For you, I could take a little abuse" He chuckled quietly, turning his head toward her and leaned in closer. Barely an inch away from her lips, his smirk stretched. His eyes were set on hers, peering deep into them as if trying to hold them against their will. Funny thought, considering she'd been the one to pluck him out of his bed in the middle of the night.
