Seasonal Greetings, Iwaku! Welcome to our last final month of the year, and if you believe in prophesied mumbo-jumbo, maybe even the last month our our lives. What better way to spend out final days than on Iwaku having a badass time with great stories and friends? Little chirping bunnies tell us that awesome members in the Community Volunteers have been putting together a Winterfest of activity for us to enjoy. Be on a look out for winter and holiday themed roleplays and goodies provided by... well... YOU! Let us get on with the news, shall we?

The ginormous Iwaku Roleplay Survey has made a return!
We're about to start off a new year, so it's time to dust out the rafters and make sure everything on Iwaku is in tip-top shape. One of the ways we make sure Iwaku is giving members what they need is through the ROLEPLAY SURVEY! It's long and asks a crazy bunch of questions, but your answers help us find out what parts of Iwaku needs help. So take a moment and fill it out!

Thanks for your patience through all of these server and system updates!
Iwaku is hosted on a privately owned server, which gives us the freedom to grow, expand and host anything we want in our community. Unfortunately, that also means that sometimes we have to go through a little trial and error when it comes to fixing server and site issues. Big thanks to everyone for their help in pointing our problems and errors for us! You can continue to help by throwing any big downtime problems you have towards jared555, he's the dummy that volunteered! 8D Thanks Jared!

Want to go that extra mile for the community that you love? Join Community Volunteers or Staff!
To make a community great it takes MEMBERS being super rad people and giving their time and energy. Iwaku always needs willing and able bodies roleplaying, mentoring, and volunteering to help develop and keep our community entertaining. Any member can drop in to the Community Volunteers group to see how they can lend a hand, even if it's just once in awhile. And if you're a more active and dedicated worker-bee, try your hand at joining staff to help us keep Iwaku neat and safe for members!

He's also very active in the General Forums, giving other members a chance to learn more about dreams and giving them an opportunity to let others into their sometimes messed up minds and share their dream experiences with Iwaku!

Remember, every month you can nominate new people for the Quotable and Notable section, so if you see an excellent post or snippet, please submit it at the link above!

January 2 - February 14
With the passing of the days, you may feel the need to consider your finances and re-evaluate your budget. The things that have value to you might be reassessed in the process of determining your funds, but it can be an enlightening experience for you if you’re honest with yourself.

The Soulmate
February 15 - April 1
Consider setting future goals for yourself and taking a break from beginning new projects or making any extreme changes in the near future. Instead focus on cultivating those things you’re already committed to and relaxing rather than seeking fulfillment in taking on more tasks.

The Guardian
April 2 - May 15
This is the time to look closely at the things you’re currently doing and focus on revising and transforming them until you’re content. Do not sit idly back and wish that things would change, instead take an active role in the way that it pans out and try to figure out what can be done to make it more enjoyable for yourself. Don’t worry, instead concentrate on what you can make better.

The Mentor
May 16 - July 1
Now is ideal for making connections with people around you and befriending those to whom you might not ordinarily think to talk. There’s great potential for meeting people that you’ll find camaraderie with and a strong bond, as long as you’re open to speaking with people that don’t seem the type with whom you generally associate.

The Trickster
July 2 - August 15
You might feel tense and slightly anxious in the upcoming month, a combination of past events and the stress of the holidays that are arriving. Taking time to yourself to gather your thoughts and refresh your spirit could benefit yourself and your relationships as you’re less likely to be terse and unfriendly fully rested.

The Ally
August 16 - October 1
Knowing the things in your life that you ought to be grateful for and reflecting on these might improve how you view the world afterward and is a good idea if you’re feeling more jaded and cynical than your usual self. It’s also important for your own psyche that you take responsibility for the things you’re to blame, so you can accept it and continue forward.

The Shadow
October 2 - November 15
While you can tend to be hard on yourself, you must remember that no person is perfect and you shouldn’t let your faults overwhelm how you feel about yourself. Accepting who you are is important, even while you continue trying to better yourself and diminish your flaws.

The Rebirth
November 16 - January 1
Your purpose is strong and your determination is burning bright right now, but remember not to tire yourself out too much in the process of taking on the world. The spark that ignites your passion can flicker if you try to take on too much so don’t be afraid to rely on those close to you for support.

That wraps up your December newsletter. This month while you're spreading the joy of winter and holiday cheer, or running rampart in fear as the apocalypse comes upon us - remember why you chose Iwaku as your roleplay home! The fun, the family, and the fabulous plot bunnies. Put your best face forward and may the muse be with you, Iwaku!
