Hoods & Capes: In Fire's Wake

    we are all these people have left."-The Night Watcher

    The nights are light up by the glowing flames of society, and the ashes and rubble of the falling order. Pearl Springs used to be a peaceful city with issues that occurred every now and again (crime mainly kept down by the group of superheroes known as the Hoods and Capes). Crime used to be at an all time low, until the new major of the city decided to raise taxes through the rough, take away healthcare, and set himself as more of a dictator. The biggest problem was that the president allowed it. He didn't give a shit about the large, yet small city. Armed forces patrolled the city streets and implicated strict curfews on everyone but those who worked. Even then, people lost their jobs and were forced into doing government mandated jobs, including digging. Outside of the forest covered city, there were camps of people digging. Digging for what? No passerby knew. Not even the diggers knew. They only knew that if they wanted to keep their families alive, fed and well, they would have to do as the Government instructed. After two years of being slaves to the Government and being their bitch, the population decided that enough was enough, and they all, every last single one of them, rose up and decided to fight for their rights as human beings.

    The Anarchy group that called themselves "The People's Voice" started to exact their own revenge, getting their own justice, and began to attack every armed guard and government official they could get their hands around. Soon the streets were taken over by this new found Anarchy group, and they were heading straight for the Government officials. Multiple Hoods & Capes members have been killed in an attempt to stop these brutal riots and killings, proving that even the super powered can still be overcome by these situations.

    The city has called in backup from other surrounding cities, and have even blocked off all entrances and exits from all surrounding areas. There was no way that they would let this outbreak of "injustice" spread to other cities. Although a question of what is morally right and wrong, the Hoods & Capes leader has had to decide what is right for the city, and decided to try and evacuate the Major and every in office politician and person they can save. The streets have become a firing range, and a display of pure hate and anger. Few who didn't agree with who's side the Night Watcher was forcing the group to take decided that they wanted to fight for the true cause, and fight for their city.

    Weakness(es): The weaker his mind gets, the weaker his power. His internal strength causes his super powers.

      Superhero Name: Inertia
      Age: 23
      Super Powers:
      Telekinesis - Ability to move objects with her mind. She is capable of Telekinetic flight and can even carry another person for a short time.
      Force manipulation- Rosaria has the ability to manipulate Kinetic and potential force normally multiplying it to epic proportions she can also minimize force to zero which is useful for self preservation purposes. Thanks to her impressive concentration and multitasking skills she has learned to use her abilities in tandem becoming and

      There is a cloth mask that covers her nose and mouth. The dark hair is a wig that is fitted to her head but come off easy if grabbed.

    • Any Gadgets, Weapons and/or Accessories: Rosaria/Inertia is well aware of the fact that she will be going up against armed and otherwise dangerous opponents. Despite her common use of metal plated gloves, Rosaria/Inertis also has twin glock 17's with a custom laser sights. On top of this she has six throwing knives that can double as handheld combat knives.
    • Weakness(es): Her mind is essentially the engine for her power, if disrupted by electricity, drugs, or even simple distractions she can be left open until she can once again focus.
      Years Active: After discovering her power she took some time to get a handle on it so that she wasn't simply a liability in the field. This caused her to join later in 2010 and continuing to fight the good fight to present day.
    Secret identity: Larry Hamilton

    Superhero name: Cross

    Age: 27

    Superpowers:

    Healing
    • Able to heal 'wounds' on any biological organism.
    • Limited to physical wounds, cannot heal the mind.
    • Cannot exceed modern medical knowledge (as of now).
    • Obviously cannot bring the dead back to life.
    • Using this ability takes its toll which usually manifests in the form of exhaustion and sudden/brief 'phantom pains'. (He may or may not experience the pain the wound he heals would cause while using his powers or afterwards.)
    Enhanced agility
    • Can perform gymnastic, athletic and martial feats that most 'normal' people cannot.
    • Gets tired like people usually do though.

    Gadgets, weapons and/or accessories:
    Larry carries a pair of Colt 01992's along with a combat knife in case of hand to hand combat.

    Weaknesses: Larry can tire rather fast, especially when using both his powers to an extend, and therefore become a burden. Dealing damage isn't one of his strongest suits so he can be quite useless if you take his weapons away. In addition, he doesn't exactly like hurting people and tends to go easy on his opponents, which can result in rather disastrous consequences.

    Powers:
    -Enhanced Agility
    -can see in the dark
    -Mastery of multiple martial arts

    She uses a katana, throwing stars, and multiple types of throwing knives.
    Weaknesses: She still is learning how to control her gravitational powers, if she goes overboard and loses control she can and will create a black hole that will consume her, so she has to use her powers carefully.

    MAJOR THREATS

    -Each player can play up to two main characters: One hero, and one villain. NPCs are available to be played as.
    -Pick between 2-4 Superpowers (Superpower Wiki use this page to help if you're stumped on powers)
    -Write your character as if they would be in other roleplays that have to do with the Hoods & Capes.
    -This is a dark, gritty and even bloody story. Don't be afraid to kill and get descriptive in blood and gore.
    -Do not godmode with your powers.
    -Weaknesses are required so that your character can have struggled every now and again.
    -Being the only good people left in the city, characters are allowed to go crazy and join the other side halfway through the story if need be.
    -This is NOT a sandbox roleplay. Unlike most of my others, this follows a strict story line, and WILL HAVE AN ENDING.
    -Try your best to add to the story and keep the plot going, and enjoy yourself.
    -One last thing: Create your own superhero, do not use already created heroes. You can use a picture of (example) Batman, but you're not allowed to be Batman. Your suit can look like Batman's, but it's encouraged to make modifications to it.
