I didn't get to watch it when I was a kid because mom thought Will Smith acted like an idiot, but I watched when I was twenty-one and I love it. So many 90's flashbacks!

I don't remember this show because I never watched it. But I do remember it got overplayed on Nickelodeon.

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the watcher of a show called Bel Air

In Oakville Ontario born and raised
On the TV was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin some guns on my GTA
When a couple of uncles who were up to no good
Started making trouble in my gaming time
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're putting your games away and moving to cable'

I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my console and sent me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my remote.
I turned my TV on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad
Watching Digimon at 6 in the morning.
Is this what the people of Television like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait I hear they're re-runs, filler, all that
Is this the type of place that they just send this cool cat?
I don't think so
I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the prince of TV

Well, the show aired and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a Will standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get hooked yet
I just got here
I sprang with the quickness like lightning, disappeared

I whistled for a TV guide and when it came near
The guide said Bel Air and it had ads in the side
If anything I could say that this guide was rare
But I thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, homes to Bel Air'

I pulled up to the show about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the guide 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

Ok in all seriousness though, like most shows as a kid it was something I had trouble watching consistently because of the whole factors of:

1) TV randomly canceling shows
2) Set time to watch only, so if something came up "Bye bye episode"

But from what I did see it was damn funny and entertaining every time. :P​

I used to watch Fresh Prince all the time! No episode really pops to mind when I try to think of a favorite, but the intro is what has stuck with me.

Will got killed in Philadelphia.

Bel-Air was Heaven and the family were his guardian angels.

His mother only appeared in the episode when she was visiting Will's grave.
