I have bad, no, TERRIBLE news.

I constantly have country music stuck in my head

Back when I was a wee tyke, I listened to country music due to my parents' influence. Eventually, thank God, I grew out of it, but NOW IT'S STUCK IN MY HEAD

Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, you name it, it's gone through my head AND LET ME TELL YOU, IT'S A CURSE

I'M THE GODDESS OF PUNK ROCK I CAN'T BE DOING THIS

I'm doing nothing to help you.

Music stuck on your mind? You have, as I can come up with now, two options.

1) Find something else to occupy your mind with.
May have varying results depending on what you use, but songs will (hopefully) be out of your mind.

2) Replace country with more catchy songs in a genre you like/don't hate so much.
Should be more effective, plus you'll probably discover some new music. Bas side is, you'll still have some music stuck on your mind.

Either way, good luck! Check out the various threads about music over in General Chat, chances you won't find something good are low.

One of the best ways to get an earworm out is to, legitimately, listen to the song stuck in your head from beginning to end. Do not stop it early, nothin'. Just listen to the whole 3:40 or however long the song is. "Enjoy it," if you will. Queue next song.

BOOM, song is now out of head!

Hum or sing The Star Spangled Banner.

Or God Save the Queen if you're British.

Or O Canada is you're Canadian.

Basically, whatever your National Anthem is, sing it.
