    Initially, Ximena can seem very SHY, but her distance is mostly due to WORRY of making a fool out of herself and messing up in conversation. She is actually very INTELLIGENT but her adhd and processing problems make it hard for her to excel academically. Combined with her family's achievements, she has developed an INSECURE view of herself. She is constantly ANXIOUS about messing up in front of others, which her new powers don't really help with. Put her in front of a tv though and she is full of CONFIDENCE and focus. She's extremely PASSIONATE about gaming and cinematography and forgets her problems when she is dissecting a scene's editing or gaining headshot achievements. You may actually never get her to shut up at that point. Ximena is also a bit STUBBORN, RESISTING other's attempts to get her to socialize, but she is EASY TO WEAR DOWN if they are persistent, even if she WON'T ADMIT TO BEING WRONG. After she gets to know someone though she is very SWEET and even a bit PLAYFUL.

    Memorization- It may take her a while, but she can memorize procedural tasks and information fairly well, especially if it is written out rather than spoken. If something is drilled in enough times she'll be able to do it by heart.

    She gets easily distracted and sidetracked, and isn't too great at teamwork/taking direction because of her processing problems

    While she can memorize certain things, it doesn't necessarily mean she understands the details.

    Ximena's family is from Mexico. Her parents were really scholarly academics- her father is a literary anthropologist and her mother is a retired opera/theater singer turned music teacher- and they emigrated to the US for positions at Ivy League universities. People expected Ximena to be just as smart and successful as her parents, but her adhd made her fall behind in school and develop anxiety and insecurities about herself. She struggled for years as they tried out different medications and skipping school when it got to be too much before learning to scrape by through memorizing most of the information even if she didn't understand it. She was finally making some improvement when her abilities showed up, and then it was all downhill again. Every anxious worry seemed to come true, and the more anxious she got, the more impossible the event. It didn't take long for her father to realize what was going on, and in an effort to keep her safe, he sent her to Berkeley. She assumes they are alive, but there is a niggling thought at the back of her mind- what if the government found out about what they did to save her?

    Technological Contructs- can create various kinds of technological devices, able to analyze and replicate any technological device, improvise their own technology, and combine/hybridize various brands of technology for even more powerful constructs. Distinguishing features: The first things people notice about Tamara are her height and big curly hair. She hates sleeves, finding them constricting, and will go out of her way to wear tank tops or other sleeveless shirts whenever possible. As a magical girl her hair is more loosely curled and colorful.

Dream: To become a philanthropist gamer like her idols

Why did the Makers contact you? :Tamara always felt like she wasn't doing enough despite her busy life. Sure she had things to do, but she didn't think her actions ever really affected others for the better. She felt like all the time she spent training for gaming competitions was selfish somehow- a hobby she had taken so far it was more job than fun lately. When one of her opponents became corrupted, Tamara felt terrible that she was the cause, and yet there was nothing she could do to help. After the day was saved, she sat despondent at home wishing she could be a force for good and inspiration rather than a rival and source of stress. Fortunately, the Makers felt her determination and offered her the chance to save lives as a magical girl.

Personality: Tamara is an overachiever, stemming from jealousy of her cooler older sisters, a dislike for being left out, and major fear of missing out. She can get pretty competitive when it comes to her passions, but she can be a gracious loser and respectful of her opponents if she deems them worth it. She is bogged down with a lot of responsibility in regular life as well as her job as a magical girl, so while she may seem reluctant to cut loose, she's actually really aching for a good break.

That being said, she takes enjoyment and fun whenever and wherever she can. She can be boisterous and silly, and gets excited over the littlest things. She craves attention and affection, so she can come off as a little too eager at times.

Home life: Tamara's mother is a professor at the local University. She is also currently working on her PhD, so she is usually too busy grading and researching to keep up things like chores and dinner, duties that often get relegated to Tamara since her older siblings have already left home and started lives of their own. They don't have a bad relationship, but Tamara often gets irritated and overwhelmed by the amount of chores she's stuck with. Her father isn't nearly as busy with his office job, and often helps her with dinner when he can, making it a bonding experience for the two of them. Neither of her parents really notice she's a magical girl- her mother is too stuck in her books to notice anything outside of university, right now and her dad isn't about to deal with any 'flying sparkle magic shit, now go do the dishes like your mother asked you to 5 minutes ago.'

History: Tamara is the youngest of 3 siblings- the older two, Jolie and Jazmin, are seven and eight years older than her. Being the youngest by so many years, she was often babied or left out of her sisters' activities. Even so, she looked up to them a lot, and as a result often got tricked into more chores with the promise of getting to hang out with the big kids in exchange. Unfortunately, her eagerness to be included meant she got taken advantage of a lot in this way, but now they all look back on those times as funny stories. Mostly. She still envies her sisters, and misses them now that they're out of the house.

She got her start in gaming when she was very young. Her father used to be an avid gamer in his youth and while neither of the older girls cared much for gaming, Tamara jumped at the chance for attention and the chance to be included in something. It was slow going, but Tamara found she actually really liked the games and being able to reach new achievements and levels. Through her elementary days, the two used games as bonding time both in the house and at the Hub during special events. At 13, she started competing regularly, and since then gaming had become an even bigger part of her life than before.

Since her mother is a professor at the local university, all of the girls were expected to take their education seriously. Aside from her gaming, Tamara involved herself in many extracurriculars, many of which she has trouble keeping up with. Due to her (over)involvement, she has many friends in and out of school, but often doesn't have much time to hang out very often outside of clubs or class because of her long list of other responsibilities.

Personality
Growing up in a big tight knit family in the inner city, has had its effects on her personality. Lula is a very tactile person and often uses a lot of slang when she talks. This can come off as too laid back and even shallow to some due to her interests, but she is a whiz at business and dedicated to the work she takes up. For all her outward prowess, though, Lula often struggles with self-consciousness. She is prone to being affected by other's opinions and can easily get caught up in self doubt; combined with her desire to do what's fair, this can often result in self-sacrificing behavior 'for the greater good'. What Lula lacks in grace, though, she makes up for in charisma.

Biography
Lula comes from a family of witches who have been in America for generations, but her grandmother still tries to keep to their traditional Chinese roots as much as possible (including an instinctual mistrust of Tyrone and constant attempts to try and get Lula to exorcise him). The entire family is notoriously nosy, which has its positives and negatives. Pros: she's pretty skilled at information-seeking herself now. Cons: she knows it's no use trying to hide most things from her family, but they haven't really got the memo on that and consequently never believe her about anything. It's an exercise in futility. Nevertheless, they're a tight knit group even despite occasional frustrations and distance. Lula grew up in the inner city where there were few resources, but her parents instilled in her the value of hard work and innovation to overcome any challenges, making her the savvy woman she is today.

Background
Conwy's father is a muggle chef and owner of a popular restaurant, so she is very into cooking and is used to the demanding expectations of a well-run kitchen (tempers, perfectionism, technique, etc). Her mother is a pureblood witch who left the wizarding world behind during the first war, falling in love with muggle culture and a very kind cook who gave her a hot meal when she had nowhere else to go. It was almost as if she had forgotten the magical world entirely until Conwy started showing signs of magic. Sometimes, Conwy thinks she regrets having a magical child, but she is just weary of the politics and darkness that always seem to corrupt the wizarding world. She didn't want to send Conwy to Hogwarts (the end of 4th year was half 'I told you so' and half sheer terror), but she had to learn to control her magic, so off she went.

Going to Hogwarts, Conwy immediately fell in love with Potions class, as it was a lot like cooking, which spurred her dream of learning wizarding cuisine and becoming head chef of a wizarding restaurant. Her second favorite class was charms, since she could also use those spells in the kitchen for maximum effect. She respected herbology for the edge it can give her ingredients-wise, but she was never the best with plants and got middling grades at best.

Being a half-bood in Slytherin was a difficult balancing act, fearing retaliation from her blood purist housemates and Slytherin-hating hogwarts peers alike. She ended up mostly keeping to herself with the exception of the less extreme kids in her house and some nice Hufflepuffs who knew how to get into the kitchens, but she didn't mind much. This way she avoided most of the trouble that followed everyone else around like the plague, and it seemed most wizards cared more for the flashy or sinister rather than the artful, practical things she enjoyed anyway. It made sense to just not bother and hone her craft on her own. As the war started up, though, her parents worried more and more about her getting caught in the crossfire. She was pulled out of school for 7th year- and good thing, too, or she didn't know what might have happened to her. Now Conwy is back to finish her studies and show the wizarding world that Slytherins are more than just an evil stereotype.

Personality
Conwy would never have been a hufflepuff. She respects hard work and diligence, but believes it's nothing without passion and ambition behind it.

Sharp, fiercely attentive and driven. She is a planner- thinks steps ahead. Sometimes she wrestles with the idea that magic makes things too easy, but considering muggle advancement and tech, she can find a happy middle ground of using magic to help enhance what she can do rather than having it do everything for her.

She can get overwhelmed by her perfectionism and obsess over her performance in certain things. She is usually up for a challenge, but when she gets too stressed, she often procrastinates and distracts herself with other things.

Appearance:
Sabine can usually be seen wearing dark clothing or black leather, which can make quite the intimidating image. She usually does her hair and makeup to match her shiny gourgeist.

Personality:
She may seem scary, but Sabine is actually very encouraging to the trainers who encounter her. She is happy to be part of so many people's journeys and does her best to prepare them. If they don't run off right after finishing their battle, she sometimes shares some helpful tidbits about ghost types and the lore surrounding some of them. She finds these stories endlessly fascinating and due to them she never treats her pokemon like mere animals or her property- they are intelligent beings in their own right, some of whom used to be humans like her. When she dies, she only hopes she can unveil the mysteries of death on the other side, or come back as a ghost type herself! This can seem beyond creepy to others, but for Sabine, it's a dream.

Background:
Sabine was always really interested in ghost stories and the lore of her town, which is why she stayed in her town and became a stationary route battler rather than traveling to battle gyms and become a master. All the years of sharing her town's stories and helping trainers become stronger have been great, but now that she's getting older she feels like she's missing out. It's such a small town that she can't even think of settling down with anyone there (she either remembers them as snot-nosed kids or they left on their own adventures long ago), and she's itching to see the world and what else she can learn about ghost types around the region. Her trainer class contract will be up soon, and she will no longer be bound to the route outside her town. All she needs now is that final push to leave…
