When you subscribe to a forum and set it up to send new messages through alerts, does it send messages from every thread in that forum?

Yes, if you've subscribed to a forum and clicked on the 'send notifications for new messages' option, then you'll get notified every time something is posted in any thread in that forum.

The only exception is when you haven't read a thread. (More information on that in this post)
