There was no response from the woman to the call of her name - or one of her names - and Baquo smirked at Tohq's attempts as she continued to walk freely, unhindered by either restraint or the guidance of hands upon her. She was single-mindedly focused on where she was heading, seeming to know the destination even better than the Etz'os around her did.
"Whatever she was to you before, Tih'ahl, she is Tel'neeri's now." he mocked before moving ahead toward a room within the Kaelyck that glowed with a pale blue light, unlike any of the other places in the large tower. Ember moved straight for it, bypassing many of the Etz'os who let her until she was even with Baquo and then moving past even him into the room. The rest of the group followed in time to see a blue-skinned Etz'os - a rarity among her green-skinned kind - slipping clawed fingers beneath Ember's chin and tilting her head up with an alluring chuckle. "Ah, my little pet returns." she crooned, giving the human's head a stroke like one might touch a dog before tilting her head again and examining the blood at Ember's temple.
"I trust there was justifiable cause for this damage? I need her mind intact, not half mush inside her skull." Tel'neeri snapped as her pale blue eyes, without a pupil or any other color, flickered sharply to her kin. They all seemed to tense and Baquo was the only one who maintained a professional composure. "She resisted and was subdued, nothing more."
A brow arched and Tel'neeri continued to pet Ember's head with one of her four hands even as she looked back to her research table and started to write something down with another hand. Still another set crossed over her chest in clear disbelief and disapproval. "Resisted? She's hardly a great threat to you, Captain."
Baquo didn't budge, keeping to his explanation. "She was subdued. Nothing more."
Tel'neeri looked at him from beneath hooded eyes and smiled just a little. "Well, do pray she wasn't overly damaged in this necessary subduing. The Madkor will be most....displeased if my progress is reported to be hindered....again." The threat was clear and the Captain nodded before turning to go. Tel'neeri's voice stopped him again as she caught sight of Tohq.
"You." It was a hiss, a rather disbelieving and yet gleeful hiss as Tel'neeri released Ember and stalked toward the Tih'ahl instead, her pale blue orbs showing terrifying delight. "Him. I want him."
"He is for the Madkor."
Tel'neeri snapped her attention to the Captain, displeasure written on her features. "And who do you think the Madkor will send him to for answers?" she pointed out venomously, but Baquo stood his ground, eyes narrowing. "He will see the Madkor first. If he is assigned to you then I will personally escort him to your talented hands, Tel'neeri, but not until then. Be content with the return of your pet. The Madkor will want to see what you've done with her soon enough." Hard expressions passed between male and female and if they'd been inclined their horns might have clashed briefly with the same intensity as their eyes, but as it was they simply moved back from each other. Tel'neeri cast another look to Tohq, a smirk crossing her lips before she turned away and moved back toward the human who'd not stirred from her spot....but she shook....and her eyes, for the first time, were locked on Tohq.
Terror filled them.
