This challenge is to help strengthen your vocabulary. You'll learn new words and how to use them in roleplay posts, stories, poems, etc!

Instructions:
1. Aim for a minimum of 1-3 paragraphs. If you'd like to write more than that, then go for it!
2. Make sure you use each word in your post. Be as creative as you'd like.
3. Style the writing like you would for a story. It can be describing a setting, or written from the perspective of a character. Whatever you feel would work the best.
4. Have fun with this, of course!

The Words:

  • Pyknic (adj.) Having a fat, rounded build or body.

Georgia Washington made her way along the boulevard with a slow, trundling, and awkward pace. Her pyknic form made her hips ache and her ankles swollen, and she could only suffer as she clambered to her destination. She wheezed every few feet. When the clouds overhead began to bombilate, and the street lamps along with it, she quickened her pace with alacrity, hopping she would make it to the church on time to receive benison.

If she did not, then the daemons would find her.

If she did not, then the shadows would claim her.

Her survival instant drove her to one final burst of speed, the inveterate need to survive another night of the Blight stubbornly established by habit offering her a final, radiance, and subtle glimmer of hope.

The mountains were full of life, something that made going there even more interesting for Kana, who had once again gone on her usual trip to watch her sister from the bushes. Linear didn't quite like being seen playing instruments other than her ocarina, most of the time- thus, this was the only way for Kana to be able to watch regularly. Her love of her sister would send Kana with alacrity to the forested mountain range outside town, even if she didn't have Linear's agreement. Thus, whenever she did, she always hid in the bushes- so that Linear wouldn't know. Of course, that day was no different.

Her black lab, Shadow, sat next to her quietly. Pyknic and loyal, the dog had grown accustomed to its master's love of hiding to watch Linear play the leaf whistle, a new hobby the girl had picked up only recently. Linear did have a way with music, much like their parents. However, she also had the religious tendency of the superstitious townfolk, causing her to give a word of thanks over the leaf before picking it off a vine to play with. Bringing the leaf to her lips, she began to play, lulling Kana into a gentle sense of relief. That is, before the bombilate of a local insect came troublingly close to her ears.

The noise was troublesome, to say the least. She sat angrily swatting the fly away, trying to pay attention more to the gentle noise of the leaf whistle, but failed with great intensity. As her sister played, she sighed with regret. This was the first time her inveterate stalking had come to a bad end- and it lead her to wondering if it was fate. Perhaps the town was right- the spirits really were cruel to those who didn't pay heed to warnings. She'd have to pray later for the spirit's benison to continue to watch over her sister in the future.

Zephere was always around a large group of people but the one she was with the most was her pyknic friend Alpi. She was always happy around him and she was always laughing at the crazy stuff he did. When they were running around the woods playing in their own world he did have a lack of alacrity and Zephere would always be way ahead of him. When they would get tired and nap by a tree she would always wake up giggling at his snoring. He was always make this bombilate noise that would giggle at for a good five minutes before he would wake up and ask her what she was laughing at. She always found her friendship a benison and she wouldnt give it up for the world. When she would go home at the end of every day she would always be so inveterate and not want the day to end but eventually she would go inside and dream of her and wait eagerly for the next.
