Retsu learned to hold her tongue, but her mind was still wondering about the strangeness of the situation. She has largely gotten over being chosen; it's not like she didn't want to. It was just how... Careless the princess Hikaru seemed to be. No test, no questions, just picking whoever she whims for a trip to Mount Fuji? Why where they going there anyways? Perhaps it wasn't in her place to ask, but Retsu did need to know. But she also knew that asking the Emperor was liable to get her into more trouble. For now, Retsu would simply have to accept things as they are. If nothing else Hikaru surely knew what was going on, so asking her would be just as good as the Emperor telling her himself. When food was brought out Retsu helped herself to a onigiri before following the rest of the others out to the gates.
Once outside the guardsmen gave her her weapons back. Her humble kama and knife, both which she nonchalantly placed on her belt. More importantly her wagon was still here, so Retsu got back onto the buggy. Looking at it, her worried that her wagon wouldn't be able to carry everyone. With the supplies inside she could fit maybe three or four people in the back of the wagon, and two riding with her. The others would simply have to walk or find their own mounts, as the horses were not conditioned to be ridden, only harnessed. Retsu turned to the other nine warriors and their princess, giving them a polite smile. "You're welcome to ride aboard, Princess. As are the rest of you, though I can't promise that there is enough space for everyone." Pulling the reins Retsu got the horses ready to move. Now that she thought of it, she should try to upgrade the wagon. What cart was hardly fit for a princess, and lacked any cover. Wouldn't really be good to hide the princess if she's sitting in the open, exposed to the enemy and the elements.
