In 2093, a plague of kaiju emerged from the oceans, the sky and the ground. They appeared seemingly at random, and it was very frequent. When all hope was seemingly lost, a cybernetic war machine crash landed on earth. A mysterious gift from forces beyond human knowledge. The machine initiated contact and expressed that the kaiju were only half of a full soul, with an unknowing human being the other half, and referred to as an "avatar". These avatars, if they ever realized their connection, could retain some of their respective kaiju's powers. The cyborg came to be named "Axe", for his right arm melee weapon. Axe shared knowledge on how to fight the kaiju, and personally helped with the extermination project. Using his knowledge, the head scientists began to suit up with the ground soldiers to quickly capture and preserve study samples from the kaiju.
Literally a day after a suicide bombing from a terrorist organization, several kaiju appeared all at once in Morocco, which is where our story begins...

Characteristics: Durazo is a fighter, through and through. She is confrontational, manly in behavior and is often quite rude. She uses foul language, even in the presence of commanding officers. She is respected for her tactical principal of 'Suppressive Assault', which saved the lives of many civilians and soldiers by keeping the monsters' advance at a slow pace by constantly moving military assets and ammo conservation. As a person, she is not the most fun to be around. As a leader for your squad, she's an angelic godsend.

Characteristics: Redacted but blunt and sensitive (but not in the glass heart way, more of the everything pisses him off way). While well mannered, and usually quite talkative, Jerome greatly dislikes being around others. His job commands it, so the extrovert deals with it. Jerome is a Medal of Honor US veteran that joined to fight the kaiju. His chest has a permanent scar that is the left overs from a knife fight where he killed three men at the same time. Jerome is a lethal killing machine despite his modest persona. He's also only a little sarcastic...(sarcasm)

Characteristics: Powell is a wise, level headed individual. He has seen much combat during his life and is very skilled at predicting human opponents. Powell has a very bland but caring personality, and expects his orders to be diligently carried out no matter what. He often meditates through yoga before any battle, but lately has focused so much on preventing the kaiju crisis that he has suffered numerous heart complications from stress.

Name: Kurot
Gender: Male
Appearance: Very dinosaur like. Large legs, shorter arms and a very boxy head meant for quick bites and shaking. Kurot weighs 35,000 tons and stands 40 meters tall with a 90 meter length. Characteristics: Quick regeneration which is faster in the presence of radiation and a 300 meter ranged attack of atomic fire breath. Kurot is a melee fighter, using his skull as a battering ram, claws for knives and mouth for crushing. Overall, Kurot has a very kingly attitude due to his win record against other kaiju and Axe; this contributes to his very aggressive attitude and general demeanor during combat, often 'advancing further' the more and more wounded he becomes. Kurot can both swim and travel across land.

Name: Axe
Gender: Asexual
Appearance: A giant humanoid robot with a single oculus in the center of it's 'head'. It's general body shapes are that of a sleek medieval knight, only very lean and aerodynamic. Axe is 50 meters tall, 24 meters wide and 29,600 tons.
Characteristics: Axe has a combat mode and a passivity mode. During combat mode, Axe's left hand has a 350mm machine gun which fires explosive, white phosphorous titanium jacketed rounds, giant anti-kaiju missiles on his trapezius region and a 'Tractor Spear' which impaled targets and retracts them to Axe's melee range. Meanwhile, his right arm can alternate between a small cutting axe or a large, flatter, splitting axe. Axe is a midrange fighter, often bringing enemies in only to beat them back or beat them back and then reel them in. In his passivity mode, axe has normal hands that are free floating for greater dexterity. Axe is restricted to ground movement only. The cybernetic behemoth is a patient, almost mentor like, figure to the humans and shares all knowledge he can to assist them but refuses to disclose the knowledge of his origin or creators. His greatest threat is Kurot, who can heal most of the wounds inflicted by the machine before a killing blow can be made.

Also, if you're wondering where the time travel comes in, that'll happen, but I don't want to just give it away ^_^
 
Thinking about things a bit, I might make a mad scientist kaiju researcher type. Someone has to be the one taking the data and playing with the collected monster bits.

Kaiju:
Name:Raiken
Gender: Male
Appearance: Raiken is a rather large serpentine dragon, with iridescent threads acting as his wings. He flies by basically surfing on the electro magnetic field of the world he is on, using the millions of threads that line the sides of his body to steer himself through the air. He bears two sets of golden eyes on his long head, with no mouth as he consumes energy from the sun, microorganisms that reside in the air, and the occasional thunderstorm to sustain himself. His scales are thick and tough on the bottom, but thin and delicate on the top.
Characteristics:Bring down the thunder. He's the Kaiju version of Divine Artillery, calling down powerful strikes of lightning from the heavens on all of the puny humans and impudent Kaiju that try to oppose him. He's a long range fighter and a sort of glass cannon, as he can dish out lots of damage, but can't take a lot of hits. His bottom scales can camoflague themselves to look like whatever is above Raiken, which is usually the sky. Along with just basic control over electricity, he also has special attacks.
  • Divine Judgement:Gathers a huge amount of electricity into one point, then fire it at the target for massive damage.
  • Divine Blessing: By allowing Electricity into his body, gives him increased reflexes, speed, and reaction time. His threads also begin to emit large quantities of lightning, turning them into deadly weapons. Can't hold this form for too long, or else he'll burn out his nervous system.
More may come later on, but for now that's all I got. Personality wise, Raiken is an arrogant one. He believes himself to be ruler of the skies, a god over all things. He is not a cruel lord, however, as he sees it as his duty to protect his servants from all that would try to harm them. To help further that goal, he is looking for his avatar, so that he might make less violent contact with his human subjects. He is also convinced that his avatar will be the pinnacle of humanity, or else they wouldn't be his avatar.

Characteristics:He is a rather relaxed individual, not much excites him. What does excite him, however, are Biology, and Kaiju. He is on the borderline of obsession when it comes to the giant beast, as he wants to find out everything there is to know about them.
Now I need to find me a Kaiju, cause I don't want to just use my own.

Characteristics: Lesya is a smart and outgoing young woman. She joys writing short fiction stories and sharing them with others. Lesya aside from her intelligence and caring nature, day-dreams a lot and like to wander off in thought. Lesya keeps to herself, most off the time most of her friends go to bars to find fun. But instead Lesya likes stays home studying and doing other things she likes.

Dr. Hasegawa is an average looking woman with long, unkempt light brown hair and brown eyes. She usually dresses in a button-down blouse, skirt, and pantyhose, and looks quite presentable for academia. She always wears a lab coat, however, and it often bears a few stains of various sorts.

Role: Scientist/Kaiju researcher

Characteristics:
Aki started her career of researching the plague of giant monsters when in graduate school. She considers herself lucky to be among the first in an expanding new field, although it isn't without its many dangers, especially if one goes for field work and observation. She loves it, especially since she was a fan of giant monster movies when she was a kid. While she enjoys going out into the field to see the fruits of mankind's science used firsthand against the kaiju, she is also content to stay back in the lab or otherwise keep to a safe distance. At times, she seems just a litle dangerously obsessed with the horrible monsters and their incredible prowess which often flies in the face of physics or biology.

Her primary area of study lies within the biological sciences. She studies kaiju on the physiological and genetic level to better understand them and uncover new ways in which they might be fought. A woman married to her work, Dr. Hasegawa sees nothing wrong with spending long hours in the lab, or losing sleep to see a promising experiment through from start to finish. She has a cot in her office, and often has visible bags under her eyes.

We can start the role play and you can create your monsters (if you'll have any) and stuff as we are developing the introductory plot
 
There is a staff member that thinks this is PR fan fic and I can't get it out of their head that it is not. I've had my topic moved three times now >_>
