And it just so happens that the spirit led you to Paris, France. You're a young adult (20-24), and whatever the reason you had for leaving your home, it's okay because you're starting over. It's a new life. A fresh start. And you're determined to make it better. But even if you're not sure what you want or you're not sure what you're even doing, that's okay, too. That's the point of a new beginning.
~ Now, on to some clarity ~
This roleplay will be centered around a small group of young adults (at least 5) who have left their home and are now living in Paris, France, looking for a new start to their life. They don't know each other yet, but they will soon learn of each others' existence as they live in the same apartment building, the Rue des Amiraux. They want to find their soulmate, they want to find a new friend or two, they want to just live life and find themselves.
Now, as this is a group roleplay, I expect courtesy to all players (I honestly don't really feel the need to say this because Iwaku has always had a friendly community, but just to be safe). You can have up to two characters, but I expect you to also stay in the RP. I understand that life gets in the way sometimes and you have to drop RPs, but please let me and the other players know beforehand.
As for post expectations, I have a life, too, so I understand if you won't be able to reply every day or even every other day. Now, multiple posts are okay as long as they aren't getting in the way of other replies; meaning, give other people a chance to reply and try not to take over the RP.
Speaking of such, this is a realistic, modern roleplay. There will most likely be angst, romance, fluff, drama, etc., and this is why I ask all players to be 18+. When it comes to smut, please fade to black, skip, and/or take it somewhere else. I thought about posting this in the Libertine section, but I decided this particular roleplay wasn't exactly in that area. And please do not make up sudden, random drama that leave everybody going "uhh" or "wut".
You, of course, have complete and free range control over your character. That means your character can come from America, or France itself, or another country. Their sexuality can be bi, straight, gay, or pan. Even asexual. It doesn't matter. They can be in a relationship with somebody back home or not. They can be female, male, trans, cross-dresser (in open or as a secret)... whatever. Because it's your character. The only thing that I ask is that your character has a realistic, constant personality. AKA, if you write a personality on your sheet, make sure your character sticks to that. And, don't have your character be the quiet one when in the actual RP, she/he is wild and loud. And vice-versa. And also don't have your character be everything, like "he's mean and nice, can be loud but quiet, too. He's a wild guy but usually is sitting alone somewhere and reading." Like, no. That doesn't make any sense. A person can't be everything, and they can't be perfect.
I will post a character sheet to follow (we're using real physics), and then my character so you can get an idea of how to fill it out. Of course, it doesn't need to be as fancy (or as plain) as mine - just as long as it has a decent amount of detail. You can state your interest here, reserve a spot, etc. I'm thinking there should be a maximum of 10 characters, but we'll see how that goes.
