Creature Creation Challenge​

This challenge explores one facet of worldbuilding: creature creation, as the title says. Whether or not you're a worldbuilder, at one point or another, you're bound to create different kinds of flora and fauna for your world. This challenge brings two new things to the table: first, all the submissions for this challenge will be put into a "bestiary" of sorts in the Worldbuilder's Guild which will be a resource for yourself and anyone who needs creatures for their worlds; second, every week, there will be a different difficulty for the challenge. ​

The Bestiary​

Creature Template

Name: Two Headed Krippit
Appearance: Slender in build with long thin necks, long whip like tail and gray scaled body with dark stripes like a tiger. The heads have a similar appearance to dragon shaped ones with fangs that have a very potent poisonous acid built specifically to assist penetration of the scales and then to mix with the blood of its victim and start breaking down tissue for easier digestion.
Role: Predator, they hunt down, kill and eat dragons.
Habitat: Mostly found in mountainous areas, on rare occasions they have been found in deserts too.
Life-span: Avarage is about 100 years
Sentient: Yes
Sapient: No, they have the intelligence of a golden retriever
Means of Sustenance: They feed on dragons, lizards and other creatures. They prefer dragon meat though.
Mating Rituals: Courtship rituals are like that of loons with many twinings of heads and calls etc until the female consents. Mating season is usually when food is found to be plentiful. Females have been known to enter diapause to control when the pup will or even if it will be born.
Reproduction: Gestation varies but if all criteria is met the soonest a pup will be born is approximately one year after conception.
Organization: It a solitary creature that only meets with members of its species for the mating season.
Other: The only variation to this rule is the Hentara Tribes in the mountains of Enchara. They have managed to tame (this word is used loosely) the beasts and now have their own variation of Two Headed Krippets that are hand raised by devoted trainers similar to Mahouts. These krippets and their trainers are paid enormous amounts of money to come and clear a land of verminous dragon scum (so one king has been heard to say).
