Christmas cards to a dying boy

has made the News!

It's always sad when a child is sick and there's nothing that can be done. I'm really glad to hear he's feeling better and has made it past October. I wish the best for him and say send him cards!

It warms my heart to see something like that happen, but then again, it also makes those children or people come to mind who are similarly sick, yet do not get so much attention and support. I know that I am raining on this parade and that if one can make even a single life better, they should do it, however, the thought that many people might be suffering from similarly serious diseases, yet they do not get so much attention, is sad. Why cannot everybody have something like this to help them get through the hard times?

I am sorry, I just cannot quite get over that.
