Welcome to the Character Types challenge! In these challenges, you will be given a character type to create, and have the option of simply creating them in this thread, with your own story and cast in mind, or finding a roleplay on this site, and creating the character for THAT story (you don't have to actually join it, just post your character here and link to it)
For part one; we will be looking at
THE SUPPORT
In group roleplays, especially of the quest, adventure, journey, and survival variety, you often have multiple characters who have to stick together and use each other's skills to survive. The Support fits right into just about any group-centred story, and they're always appreciated by the other characters; it can be a super rewarding role to play, and it adds variety to the group instead of playing just another good guy
Basically, the support is a character who has a skill, or resource, and uses it actively to help the group as a whole. Their motivation is to help their friends, and they love to feel needed. They have a driving need to protect/provide for those who cannot, and as a result are generally charitable people. Supports aren't necessarily gullible, though; many supports will give you unending help any time you need it - if they trust you.
Supports can sometimes be overzealous with their willingness to help, so try to find the line between a support character and a kiss-ass character. Also try not to lean too much on the 'protection' angle; no group is in need of a defender 100% of the time, and most people with a shred of decency are willing to help their friends when they are in danger, this is not, by itself, a Support characteristic.
Step 1: Either find a roleplay and use it's plot and characters, or come up with your own group-related plot and some characters for it
Step 2: If you picked the first option, link to the roleplay you have chosen
Step 3: Post your character below using either a free-form post or the form below
Name:
Age:
Appearance:
Skill/resource:
How they use it to help the group:
Their motivation for being helpful:
Their stance on going without so someone else can have something:
Do they help anyone or just close friends/those who have earned it:
Do they have a favourite person that they help more than others:
Are they easily duped into giving help to those who abuse it:
Are they the type who needs to be asked, or who helps without invitation:
How would they respond when their help is refused:
How would they respond if someone took advantage of their generosity to cheat them:
How do they feel when they are unable to help:
To what lengths are they willing to go to help/provide for a friend (if their friend became a junkie, would they get them a fix? If they went to jail, would Support bail them out? If they constantly asked favours and never gave anything back, would Support continue to give?):

- The support is the rich prince who uses his authority to get the group in anywhere they need to go
- The support is the farmer's daughter who cooks for everyone and heals their wounds
- The support is the escaped slave who uses their housekeeping skills to help maintain everyone's equipment
