Early morning was always the best for Ingrid. The morning dew still having from spiders webs and trees, the crisp air and the light sun always perked her up first thing, Ingrid had crept out. Under the strong control of her minder, this time meant it was the only time she could get away fast enough to not be caught, especially if she had piano lessons. She only walked around the castle grounds, any further, it often scared her and she only came back anyway. Inside the castle walls were always safe. Always.

Ingrid always sang or hummed as she went. It made time slip by much faster and out here, no one could hear her. At least, she didn't realize they could. She let herself daydream and lost her way quickly. Always did. A bit like a stray cat really, getting into places that she probably shouldn't.
Looking around coming back to reality, she was around by the back of the castle, by a big wooden door she'd never seen before. She looked it up and down, completely confused. Where did that go to? She bit her lip, stepping towards it slowly, and edged the handle down to push it open.

It creaked louder than she expected, she winced, following through and stepping onto the cold concrete floor. What was this place? Apart of the kitchens? It looked that way. Pots and pans all hung up, the stoves all off, open and cleaned. She tiptoed around, looking. This was weird. She'd been in the kitchens before, but it seemed eery and different at this time of the morning. Shouldn't someone be around? Making breakfast for everyone? At least that's what she thought they did in the mornings... It was weird. She sat herself on one of the high stools, expecting to see at least someone soon..
