Character Name: Wir'lovel Repense, Heir to the House of Joy
Gender: Male
Race: Chalicite
Job/Role: Necromancer/"Evil" Royal Advisor in Calabria
Age: 29
General Appearance: Suave, debonair, and handsome... for a bat. His features are well-formed, foxlike face accented by over-large ears. His wings extend from his arms, massive when unfolded - he does not use magic to fly. His shoulders, arms, and chest are well-formed and muscled from his frequent night-flights, though the rest of his body is quite slim. His fur is black, though he has silver tattoos along his face, wings, and back in a stylized representation of the wind. He shows no signs of his necromantic abilities, at least in his physical form.
Current Goal/Purpose: Amass as much political, magical, and physical power as he can in his lifespan, use them to alter the world closer to his own image of paradise.
General Personality: While on the job, Wir is quiet, somber, and logical. He advises his leige, Queen Wren Alvetica, in her ruling of the newly-united land of Calabria. As such, he is a horribly repressed individual on the job, so he sees the reunion as a way to blow off steam and let himself do whatever he darn well pleases, within the confines of the law. He is thought to be the most powerful necromancer since his grandmother Bo'jima Repense rose a fleet of sunken ships to defend their country from invaders, though he doesn't brag about it - verbally. His demeanor and actions show that he is very proud of his powerful necromancy, and isn't afraid of those that would be disgusted by such acts. In fact, he believes undead to be far more useful than many give them credit for, and secretly works to give them a better name. He craves attention he never got as a child, or a student.
(Secret: His race has a pathetic lifespan: forty or so years. He has put spells in place in order to cheat death and become undead at the time he dies.)
History: His parents became vampires soon after Wir's birth, and he was raised by his family's nannies and various slaves. Calladyr is actually his third school - though he did not complete the first two. Transferring from a normal, aristocrat's school to a lesser-known adventurer's school, and finally transferring into a true wizard's academy. He had few friends in Calladyr, and for the most part acted the follower. He could often be found around Discordia, whom he had a crush on (and never did anything about it). Quiet, unassuming, and secretly kind, he was considered "way too creepy" by many and actively avoided. He had a long time where he was resentful to the student population, and egged Discodia's destructive tendencies on, hoping to injure or aid in property damage (he got over it).
Though very intelligent and skilled, he never really applied himself to schoolwork, and thus did not graduate with any particular honors - in fact, he graduated by the skin of his teeth. He immediately went into politics, throwing himself towards his new goal... and his ambition led him right next to what he could consider the best job ever. As a royal advisor, he could work behind the scenes... at first, he worked to make sure that the Queen got the credit for "nice" rulings, and he would play the role of the hated, "evil" advisor. This did not work well, as Queen Wren chose to give credit to him, completely ruining his image as an evil advisor. Still, it has given him a small amount of fame and a following of admirers, which he does consider a major perk.
As it stands, people are starting to look at him as an Advisor and a political figure more than they're looking at him as a Necromancer, skyrocketing his popularity in the kingdom of Calabria and in surrounding nations, who have recently felt Wir's political movings and aid. He is certainly enjoying the attention...
