It certainly was eerie. Aurora's eyes scanned over the empty parking lot, nodding in silence at Harley's nervous comment, chewing on her lower lip. Perhaps anyone in Concord that'd had the same idea had gone off in another direction? It was hard to predict what exactly everyone would've planned on doing when it'd seemed like life as they knew it had been crumbling before their very eyes around them back in the city. "Maybe they headed towards Manchester?" she suggested, though she couldn't really offer any explanations as to why.
Jett nodded at Harley's suggestion, gently coaxing his son awake after the boy had turned him into a pillow. "Rhey, get up, bud. C'mon. Let's getcha to the bathroom, okay?" Obviously, the kid didn't take very kindly to it, his face scrunching up as he began to stir, letting out a disgruntled whine, but he eventually opened his eyes, squinting at the ladies in the front seat. "Thanks you two. I'll get this guy sorted then make the call." Jett told them, before turning to Rheylen and getting the situation ran by him as simply as he could.
This left Aurora and Harley to get out of the car and get their limbs some well needed stretching. Aurora agreed to staying overnight, not seeing a reason to leave behind a washroom and a decent place to park the car. As they exited the car, the cool autumn breeze swept over them, reminding them of the coming winter. The teen shuddered briefly, making a face, before adjusting her glasses and stretching her back.
Ah, perfect. A contented sigh escaped her lips. Fresh air and peace and quiet... She could almost forget what she'd seen that morning if she just closed her eyes.
The vision of the man on the ground, screaming for help. The sound of his body being ripped into, as if he were being ravaged by a wild animal. Aurora opened her eyes back up, discomfort clear on her face. Nevermind. She had to do something else. "Umm, I'm gonna go use the bathroom." she said quickly, padding away in Harley's trainers, over to the brick building to get her mind off things.
Jett eventually got out of the car with Rheylen in tow, the other still yawning loudly, but conscious enough to wave at Harley with a toothy grin (also missing his two front teeth) and a cheery greeting, "Hi ma'am!" Jett snickered as he pulled him by his hand to get him to use the bathroom.
