I'm up for mostly anything. But I don't really like voodo and lots of magic. Don't get me wrong, I like fantasy and dragons and stuff....just not the magic part. That's weird to me. And no demons.
I'm not sure how well this is going to work, or even if this is the right forum to put this in (it blends the lines between 'game' and 'prompt' quite well, and if someone tells me to move it I totally will), but I wanted to try it out.

The concept is simple: Write an origin story for the avatar of the person above you. It can be a few sentences or a novel- just look at their profile picture, then come up with a backstory as to why, where, who, and when they are. Could be fun, I dunno. I'll be participating too, once I have an avatar besides my own to look at :P

If you want to keep your story relevant even when someone changes their profile picture, you can include their avatar image in the head of your post, just in case.

I can do either. I do prefer that there be a goal, but I like letting the charaters dictate what happens.

Sol was from a fairly large kingdom in the southern hemisphere where the warmth of the sun seeped into his skin and fueled his power. He was privileged to be the protector and adviser to the soon to ascend crowned prince Retzl. It was a position of honor, esteem and respect and it was something he was extremely proud to have achieved at so young an age. That was the case at least until the fateful day when Prince Retzl had made the decision to defy tradition, escape the trap or royalty and marry not the princess of the north that had been chosen to form a very wise and useful alliance but the scullery maid's daughter.

Sol wanted the prince to be happy but how could Retzl do this to him? He curled himself around a tree trunk as he watched the two young lovers emerge from the chapel arm in arm. They were beyond blissful as he watched them disappear into the distance. What would become of him now? Surely the king would have him killed when he learned the truth. He was quite sure somehow the blame for this would be laid at his feet. His head drooped in defeat. Maybe no one would notice him if he curled around the tree a bit tighter....
